SERIOUS EVENT / JUMP PROSPECT
Stunning colt foal by Shaquille (Pegase van ’t Ruytershof × Concorde) out of a proven Traditional Irish Sport Horse mare.
A really exciting, modern colt with plenty of blood, quality and athleticism. He’s a lovely model with plenty of leg and looks every inch a future performance horse.
His dam, Abbeyfield Autumns Comet, is a beautiful dun Traditional Irish mare who has herself successfully showjumped and evented at 1.10m level. She is a super genuine, athletic mare and combines traditional Irish breeding through Monaghanstown Fionn and Abbeyleix Fionn with valuable Thoroughbred blood through Nigrasine xx – Mon Tresor xx.
His sire Shaquille is an exciting young KWPN stallion by Pegase van ’t Ruytershof, who jumped to 1.55m level. Pegase is by the phenomenal Comme Il Faut, bringing in Cornet Obolensky and the legendary Ratina Z.
Shaquille’s dam is by Concorde and comes from an exceptional performance family that has already produced horses jumping at 1.40m, 1.45m, 1.50m and 1.60m level.
This colt really does combine the best of both worlds — proven Irish performance blood and Thoroughbred influence on the dam’s side, crossed with some of Europe’s most successful modern showjumping genetics.
He should make a seriously exciting prospect for either top-level eventing or showjumping, and is one for someone wanting to buy a quality youngster for the future.
