Approx. 157/158 cm (15.2hh), this lovely gelding is friendly and affectionate, he enjoys human company and forms a close bond with his person. He’s a very intelligent horse. He’s done some liberty work this summer and he picked it up very quickly.
He’s a fun horse to ride, he hacks out alone and in company, is sensible in traffic and is brave out in open country, cantering across open fields and jumping up big banks even when hacking alone. He is regularly ridden at Golegã (Including at the famous Golegã fair) where he is accustomed to a busy atmosphere, including horse-drawn carriages and big trucks which pass to make deliveries to the restaurants around the main arena.
My horses all receive hay twice a day in their paddocks by a huge tractor so are used to tractors.
He has lovely balanced paces and shows a lovely extended trot strides.
He has started working equitation obstacles over the summer and is proving very brave and forward over a full-sized course. He has the versatility to turn his hoof to any discipline, but I feel he is a super Working Equitation prospect as he really enjoys the Working Equitation sessions I do with him.
He is good for the farrier, and is barefoot at present. He is also good to be shod hot or cold. He is easy to catch, load and travel. He currently lives out but I am sure he would prefer to be stabled during the winter months. He did however live out last winter with a big rug on. Vaccinations and worming are up to date.
He is located in Portugal one hour from Lisbon but his price includes transport to the UK with Malaga Horse transport. There will be no import duties to pay and the price is the price with no hidden extras. He is priced very sensibly with shipping to the UK included due to my slow planning permission. I have not yet received a building license for my stables and I don't have enough stabling to house all my horses over winter.
He would suit a knowledgeable, experienced rider looking for a fun partner to enjoy hacking, working equitation, dressage and further training in any discipline. He is not suitable for a novice rider as he is a lusitano and they are sensitive horses. Open to vet.
