16hh-16.1hh 5 year old Sports horse gelding.
Slowly backed, ready to be produced into the horse I know he could be. Same home since a foal. As he is young and green. He does need a confident rider. Ideally he would be in full ridden work 5-6 days a week doing a variety of things to keep his brain working.
Hacking - Alone or in company. Roads + Open fields. Is unphased by most things. He can have a look, and may need persuading to move past things he hasnt seen before.
Schooling - Still green but walk/trot/canters.
Jumping - He has seen maybe 5 jumps in his life and these were cross poles or 30-40cm. Will go, but isnt elegant, needs refining.
Snaffle mouthed. Rides English and has been ridden in western tack although not western trained.
Has had a bib clip. Good to bath. Plait. Trim. Loads and travels on anything like a dream.
Has been showing inhand since a yearling and been to an arena hire under saddle.
Lives in or out. Alone or mixed herd.
Not ideal for novices, first timers, pony club kids, and people who are moving up off ponies.
When not in full work Dexter can express himself with a bronc. A few humps and on he goes. I will express if he is kept in work he WONT do this.
Needs sedating for the dentist.
Great to have front feet shod, not great with the backs. Does let you pick all 4 up and pick them out no problem. With time and patience I believe this can be worked on, as we struggled before and now he has a full set on.
Does have a deviation on his front left, this causes him no issues and has had a lameness work up from the vet when spotted. And they said it doesnt effect him in any way. For this reason, as handsome as he is, he will not be a top flat horse. He does have really nice soft paces which I think would be ideal for dressage, and if someone taps into his jumping potential a WH/Allrounder.

Comes with tack. No loans, trials, LWVTB. Will want to see riding videos before agreeing to any viewings. As again, he is a big, green, young horse who needs direction. Reason for sale can be disclosed.
