Very special safe, experienced, fun and competitive all-rounder looking for her next jockey after four and a half wonderful years with her current rider, who has sadly outgrown her.
Thistle has an amazing temperament – previously an RDA and riding school pony – but is also talented, brave and competitive. She loves her jumping, has won at 70cm, 80cm and 90cm, competed in arena eventing and 70cm hunter trials, and represented South Notts PC in team SJ at Arena UK, Osberton and Notts County Show, gaining team second places.
Over four and a half years, Thistle and my daughter have grown together, enjoying Senior Pony Club camp, SJ, XC, hunter trials, fun rides, arena hires and beach trips. At Camp she earned the nickname “the golden pony” because she never put a foot wrong! 💛
✔️ Schools beautifully in all three paces
✔️ Bold, genuine and clever jumper who helps her rider out
✔️ Hacks alone or in company; sensible in traffic and open spaces
✔️ Good to catch, clip, shoe, load and travel
✔️ Happy to travel alone or with company and stand patiently on the trailer at competitions
✔️ Used to tractors, large machinery and dogs
✔️ Kind, straightforward and lovely to handle
A genuine confidence-giving competition pony who is equally happy heading off on an adventure as she is going out to compete. She has given us enormous amounts of fun and we would love to find her another child to build a partnership with and make their own memories.
Very difficult sale of a much-loved pony, so the right home is incredibly important. ❤️
