Incredibly sad sale of a very special boy whose been owned since a foal.
He was very lightly backed as a 3yo and then turned away, did a little bit of cubbing (impeccably behaved throughout) and then had the summer off.
He has been with me the last 6 weeks and I can honestly say he has been one of the most straightforward Connies I have produced. He has a real can do attitude with the kindest temperament he simply wants to please, I got straight up on him and went for a hack the day he arrived, he has never put his back up or done anything sharp, he is very level headed.
Ted has been to an arena hire and popped round a course of 80, unfazed by fillers etc.
He has XC schooled round both west wilts & pontispool BE80 tracks and popped round both with ease, he is hugely admired wherever we go!
Very good with water, ditches steps, also unbothered by other horses galloping past him etc.
He moves well on the flat with 3 correct balanced paces and a very natural athletic canter.
He is super straightforward in all ways, to catch, shoe, load etc, good to hack alone or in company.
Very light in the hand and snaffle mouthed.
I believe with his education furthering this horse is a potential top contender for badminton grassroots / u18 teams / Cotswold cup winner - I think very very highly of this boy, he is a yard favourite.
He is entered into some comps over the next few weeks and will continue to be produced until sold.
Horses with his temperament and ability really are hard to come by!!
