Peek-a-Boo (Flora) is a very special Irish Sports Horse who is now sadly looking for a new home as my daughter heads off to university. We have owned Flora for eight wonderful years, during which time she has helped my daughter make the smooth and confident transition from pony to horse.
She has been an active and much-loved member of our family. She has attended all Pony Club activities, camps and competed for both her club and school at local, Area, Regional and National level in Dressage and Show Jumping. Flora is also bold and happy XC; although this has not been her rider’s favourite discipline, Flora clearly enjoys the job and has plenty to offer in the right hands.
Flora comfortably jumps 90cm to 1m and would also be very happy to step down and help teach a younger or less experienced rider. She knows her job, is responsive and willing with a genuine love for her work. She is a gentle soul who thrives in an easy-going, relaxed, knowledgeable home. She is ridden in a snaffle, without spurs and gives her best to a calm, sympathetic rider. Once you have her trust, she will always try her heart out for you.
On the ground, Flora is straightforward and easy to do. She is easy to clip, shoe, load and have her teeth done. She has front shoes only, lives out 24/7, 365 with two others, and her exercise during the winter is weather dependent. She has never put a foot wrong, has no vices and still has a lot to offer as a mother-daughter share or for a young teenager progressing onto horses.
She has been a much-cherished horse who has given us many happy years, confidence and memories. She has bumps and scrapes from a full life but nothing that bothers her or gets in her way.
We are looking for a home where she will be respected, loved, kept busy and healthy.
