Dexter of rocklea is a 14hh 14 yeah old highland gelding.
He’s a great all round pony with so much to offer. He would excel in whatever the rider would like to do with him. Over the past year he’s been used as a happy hacker with the odd bit of schooling. He’s great to hack out, will go alone or in company and is very safe.
He has never bucked, bolted, reared, kicked or done anything nasty. Great for farrier and vet and will fall asleep when clipped.
I would say he’s not a novice ride purely down to the fact he is a forward going ride. Dexter is keen and likes his work, he’s not a kick along type and is forward going. Saying this he will happily walk all day long and doesn’t get hot, but when he’s told to trot or canter he’s simply an active and forward ride.
Dexter loves water, has jumped lots previously as well as competed.
Sadly I’ve not had the time to do half of what I would have liked to with Dexter hence the sale.
He’s in his prime and ready to have lots of fun with someone. I don’t believe there’s anything he wouldn’t turn his hoof to!
Vaccinated, wormed, teeth every 6 months, saddle checked regularly. Has front shoes due to our hacking terrain.
Price is reflective of the time of year.
