Susie has been part of our family for 3 and a half years, she was bought for my nervous 7 year old granddaughter to come off lead rein and certainly did the job.
She has taken part in all PC activities, including attending Junior Camp. She’s competed in dressage and 50/60cm show jumping.
Susie is good in traffic, to box, with the blacksmith (she is barefoot), clipping, the dentist and was seen by the physio in August.
If you are looking for a pony for small children to be around then Susie is what you need, she is safe in the stable and very affectionate, she loves people. She doesn’t need to be ridden daily and can be left for long periods without becoming fresh. She is out during the day and stabled at night.
Due to my granddaughter moving onto a 12.2hh and time constraints, Susie has been a stable/field ornament for the last 18 months, consequently she has changed shape and her saddle doesn’t fit her. In August my granddaughter rode her a couple of time in a pad saddle, the cub saddle also fits her, and despite not having been ridden for a long time she behaved impeccably. The photo’s and videos show Susie when she was in work, she will need bringing back into work and her fitness built up, this won’t take long and can be done by a child.
Ideally, Susie would be best as a lead rein pony or a first ridden for a confident rider as she has been known to nap. She would even be happy as a companion but that would be a waste of a brilliant child’s pony.
We have more video’s, including ones of her jumping higher and doing cross country with her former owners.
Susie means a lot to us, and we are only considering selling/loaning her now because my granddaughter needs to move onto a bigger pony and we need the stable. We are not in a hurry to find a home for her and will happily negotiate on price or consider free loan to ensure she finds the best home.
