Duffy is a genuine, kind, well-bred pure Connie. Schooled to a very good level, she works in an outline in all paces and executes lateral movements well.
She is a wonderful school mistress, however would not suit a novice rider or first ridden as she is forward going and needs a fairly strong leg on her, but has good brakes.
She has spent the last year with a novice 11yo girl who has come to the sad decision that she isn’t able to offer Duffy the life she needs in terms of more stimulating competing and hacking . Therefore over the last few months we have taken Duffy on with a view to selling her when the family felt ready to.
Duffy is predominantly being sold as a school mistress for dressage, showing and a fun hacker. She has a lot to offer a teenager or an adult looking to do riding club, or pony club with a focus on dressage and showing competitions.
She jumps well at home schooling happily up to 1m, proving to be quite careful, she will be a lot of fun going to clinics and training rather then out competing show jumping. (With her previous owner she had a few bad rounds and has lost confidence in the ring).
Duffy schools beautifully with me. She hacks out alone or with company, first or last. I have taken her to a few shows with my daughter on her, including NSEA dressage in September where she came 5th.
Duffy is easy to have on the yard and is good on the ground, easy to clip and shoe. She can put in some broncs when very excited but we have found if you’re ready for them and ride her forward keeping a short rein she doesn’t do them. They are only occasional.
Duffy has previously hunted and team chased.
She is a fun pony able to do everything and nice and straightforward, perfect for someone wanting to have a kind, genuine second pony .
Duffy will come with full wardrobe.
