Your next years 133cm HOYS winner?
This is a very hard decision as I have owned chey since a 3 year old bought straight from stud and he means the world to me however I don’t have the time to have more than one horse out competing anymore.
Chey is a lovely cheeky character who loves his jumping. We have done so many lessons/clinics/course hires over the years and he’s seen so much and isn’t phased by anything, however he is relatively low mileage only attending a handful of shows each season as I’ve never had the time to fully commit.
This year we focused on qualifying for stars and doing some training stakes and a good week at Equifest. He’s achieved some fab and easy clears within the 75/85cm classes with any poles usually down to rider error.
He has also been ridden by a friends 9 year old daughter this season where they have produced some lovely clear rounds however can be cheeky with a little one but nothing a competent jockey can’t deal with as she has shown.
He has been placed over the years in the flat HOYs qualifiers and has fabulous conformation but his heart is with jumping.
Perfect to shoe/clip/teeth etc. Never sick nor sorry. Bombproof to hack out and has had complete beginners on him to hack and looked after them. Good to handle and is an all round awesome lad!
I have absolutely no doubts he would get to HOYs/RIHS in the 133cm M&m whp with the right jockey on him and he is also eligible for the Nursery stakes and Novice classes. He would also make a fabulous little eventer although this is not my area of expertise.
He is not available until after STARS
