The dreaded time has come for this lovely mare to find her new home 😢🤍🏡
I honestly wouldn’t be selling Rose if I had a purpose for her. She is genuinely one of the sweetest mares I have ever had, and finding her the right home is far more important to me than simply selling her.
Rose is a 7-year-old, approx. 14.1/14.2hh black Welsh Section D mare, who I have done everything with myself.
She is an incredibly genuine, willing and uncomplicated mare who has taken everything I have introduced to her completely in her stride. She is now ready for someone to continue her education and bring out her full potential.
Rose is a lovely happy hacker, both alone and in company. She has been to different places and experienced different environments and has taken everything in her stride without batting an eyelid.
She has recently started jumping and has completed a 60cm course. She is very willing and will happily pop whatever you ask of her. From what she has shown me in her own time, I genuinely believe she has the ability to progress further with the right rider and continued education.
I could see Rose being a lovely all-rounder and she has the potential to turn her hoof to so many things — whether that be showing, fun rides, beach rides, hacking, jumping or simply being someone’s best friend and having fun together.
She could also make a lovely mother-and-daughter share for the right family, or suit a competent teenager or small adult looking for a genuine mare to continue progressing with.

Rose can be a little fidgety for the farrier, although this has improved massively over time and she is now near enough standing there. She has come on so much with patience and reassurance.
She can also be green in certain areas, which I believe may be due to something not so nice happening in her past. She can be funny with hose pipes, but with 1-to-1 work, patience and reassurance, she is improving all the time.
These are not things I would hide from a potential home — I would rather be completely honest about Rose and find someone who understands her and is willing to continue giving her the confidence she needs.
She really is one of the easiest mares I have ever brought on and has so much to give the right person. She deserves a home where she will be loved, enjoyed and given the opportunity to continue learning and progressing.
There is absolutely no rush to sell her. I will only let her go to the right home.
