Absolutely heartbreaking sale of my daughter’s best friend.

14.2 (FEI LHC) 10 year old Irish gelding.

Stuart is the most wonderful pony who has given us 4 years of fun.

Exceptional quality pony with excellent paces and scopy jump. He is well schooled and established on the flat and consistently produces sub 30 dressage scores, remaining obedient at all times. He is an outstanding jumper and has only ever had two poles with us in 4 years of competition. He does not look at fillers and is straightforward to jump. He is bold and experienced cross country, and has jumped DC at BE 100 level.

Stuart is the most gorgeous character, and has been produced solely by my daughter since he was 6 years old. Together they were placed on the BE Pony Talent Pathway. Stuart has competed at the Pony Club Championships for three years with a top ten finish every time.

Stuart is perfectly safe to hack alone and in company, is always the same whether ridden every day or not, is non spooky and 100% in all traffic. He is the rare combination of a proper competition pony and a laid back best friend, nothing fazes him but he knows his job. He is used to cantering on the beach and being ridden bareback in the field one day and going to a Championship the next.

On the ground Stuart is a delight. He is utterly straightforward to handle, shoe, clip and trim and comes to the call in the field. He is affectionate and loves to spend time with his people.

In 2024 Stuart had a veterinary setback which prevented him from becoming the truly top class eventing pony that everyone had thought he would be. Since then he has continued to compete but we feel he is now best at 80-90 level and would be incredibly competitive at PC Grassroots / BE 80 / 90 Youth Champs level with his excellent dressage and usual double clear.

We haven’t competed much for the last year as my daughter has had her A levels, we have found it impossible to part with him but with travelling and university now on the agenda we need to find him his perfect person. He will only be sold to a top class home and would be ideally suited to a competent 12/13 year old who wants to win but will also enjoy his adorable character. He requires annual joint medication which was last done in July ‘26 and with this maintenance is very able to compete at the level described. He is essentially a top class pony who through no fault of his own now won’t achieve the dizzy heights but will make a young teenager extremely happy! He is fit and ready to find his next best friend, prospective homes will need to provide references and he has references available from our BE regional coach. He has no vices, is utterly adorable and if we could keep him as a pet, we would, but he needs a job to do and a new child to make happy.
