Hettie is a beautiful 16.2hh mare with exceptional breeding, combining natural jumping ability, a wonderful temperament and a sensible, genuine brain.
She is by Presidential Ball X Clinton X Hermes De Reve
A quality all-rounder with plenty of scope and potential, Hettie would continue excel in the showjumping arena while also being well suited to eventing and a variety of other disciplines. She has three established, balanced paces and carries herself beautifully.
Hettie has previously hunted with an older gentleman and competed successfully in showjumping up to 1.10m. She has also enjoyed pole and jumping clinics, including cross-country training, giving her a lovely foundation to continue progressing in her career. She has so much scope to go further or would happily jump round the smaller heights with her new rider.
She is quick against the clock but also would trot and pop to a jump.
Hettie would be an exciting addition to a professional rider’s or amateur string, with the ability and scope to progress through the levels. Equally, she could be a dream partner for a capable teenager or amateur adult looking to enjoy competitive riding, or make a wonderful mother-and-daughter share for clinics training and low level competition.
Hettie is absolute pleasure to handle, she is so lovely on the ground as she is under saddle. She has a kind, affectionate nature and a calm, sensible temperament, making her a real yard favourite. She is straightforward in all aspects of her care and is great with the farrier, vet and physio. She loads easily onto both trailers and lorries and travels beautifully. At shows, she will happily stand on the lorry between classes without a fuss.
Hettie is also a confident and reliable hack, having covered miles across farmland and dealt with fast, busy traffic. She is happy hacking both alone and in company and wont get silly even after a canter. She is super safe and consistent.
With her trainable attitude, lovely rideability, genuine temperament and exciting potential, Hettie is a very special mare who is ready to continue her competition career in showjumping, eventing and beyond.
We are looking for a 5 star home for this very special horse.
Open to trainers and vettings. Serious enquires only please.
