Kiwi is a very special pony with the biggest heart and a wonderful character. She is a proper little pocket rocket who absolutely loves getting out and about, having fun and trying new things! Whether it's galloping across the fields, flying around a cross-country course or heading off on an adventure Kiwi is happiest when she's out doing something she loves.
At 12.1hh and 8 years old, Kiwi is a genuine, experienced and incredibly versatile little pony who has done a bit of everything. Her adventures have included Pony Club- including a 4 night camp, Riding Club competitions, beach rides, woodland hacks, arena hires, hunting and cross-country- which she absolutely loves!
Kiwi is a fantastic little jumper, having jumped up to 90cm with my daughter and over 1m with other riders. She is genuine, willing and always ready to give things a go.
Time and time again she has been the pony relied upon to lead more nervous or novice horses through water and over jumps. She has a wonderfully confident attitude and is happy to get on with the job making her a brilliant partner for a rider who wants to build confidence and enjoy new experiences together.
She's also a dream to have around the yard. Kiwi will happily stand to be pampered and groomed for hours and absolutely loves having her mane brushed and plaited. She is great to load and travel, stands perfectly for the dentist and farrier, and enjoys hacking both alone and in company- she is getting better at being in the middle or back but her preference is definitely at the front!! The only thing to note is that we do have to sedate her to clip her, although we have been decreasing the dosage each time and are hoping to try without sedation next time as she's got used to it more.
Kiwi is not a spooky pony and is happy hacking out on the roads, taking all sorts of traffic in her stride, including cars, motorbikes, lorries and tractors. She has also been kept on a busy yard with cats, dogs, geese and small children, and takes everything in her stride.
Kiwi is a genuine, fun-loving all-rounder with bags of character, plenty of experience and so much to offer the right little rider.
That said Kiwi is a strong pony who likes to go so she is not a first pony and would not be suitable for a child coming straight off the lead rein. She would be best suited to a confident little rider looking for a fun, forward-going second pony to enjoy, learn with and have adventures on. She has plenty of ability and enthusiasm and we would love to find someone who will make the most of everything she has to offer.
Kiwi is a much-loved pony who has given my daughter so much enjoyment but she has sadly outgrown her- if she were bigger, we genuinely wouldn't be looking for another home for her!
However Kiwi is simply too good to spend her days standing in a field, and we know there is another little boy or girl out there who could have just as much fun with her as my daughter has had.
We would love to find a home where Kiwi will be loved, appreciated and kept busy with plenty of adventures still to come.
She is a very special little pony who is now looking for her next best friend.
