I can’t express how much we have been putting this off….Very sadly for sale due to my daughter progressing onto a new pony.
A beautiful, traditional stamp of a Welsh Section C with stunning looks and an equally lovely character. Been shown to county level and many championships to his name. Has enjoyed a bit of showjumping, arena hires and plenty of hacking with us, always proving himself to be a sensible, genuine and willing pony.
Always snaffled mouth - will happily hack alone or with others and safe in open spaces/all traffic. He is beautifully behaved for all routine visits and never frets if other horses are taken away or if he needs to stay in on his own.
Under saddle, he is equally genuine and uncomplicated. He will happily trot around on the buckle or take a contact, depending on what his rider wants, and always has brakes. He is a reassuring pony who doesn’t need to be constantly held together or ridden strongly.
As with many Welsh ponies, he can be fidgety when first getting on but this has never been an issue for us due.
Has previously had left stifle medicated when shown signs of stiffness, this stiffness hasn’t returned or needed to be medicated since.
In the stable, he is handled by my 9-year-old daughter, who has always done everything with him. He would make an ideal 1.5/2nd pony.
I do also feel although we haven’t done lead rein with him, I have absolutely no doubt that, given his easy-going and happy-go-lucky nature, he would happily take to life on the lead rein for a smaller child.
Alongside his beautiful looks, he has a super-friendly, affectionate and loving personality. He really thrives on one-to-one attention and is the sort of pony who becomes a much-loved member of the family.
He has already proven himself as a 1.5 and a incredible showing pony, we would love to see him go on to teach another little person the ropes and give them the same wonderful experiences he has given our daughter.
Easy to do in all ways, loads/travels good as gold, barefoot, up to date with worming, teeth, physio and vaccinations.
This is an extremely sad sale. He is simply far to good to be sitting at home now that my daughter has progressed. We are therefore looking for a loving, knowledgeable and long-term home where he will be appreciated and enjoyed.
