15.1hh 6yo Full Connemara dun Gelding
A super kind all rounder who has a genuine temperament and a happy and easy way about him. He has been well educated, working with both an inexperienced rider alongside a professional, he is genuine and uncomplicated with a fantastic work ethic and a willingness to please.
Benji has three correct paces, works nicely into a contact and has all the ability to produce a super dressage test. He has competed at intro and prelim dressage
He has competed successfully in SJ, Combined Training and the Arena eventing all upto 80cm, and happily training 80/90cm
Benji has done lots of training at Solihull Riding Club. He has also done the boundary rides through woods and water with other horses and always was very well behaved.
He has done lots of arena hires, PC rallies. He has done PC senior camp at Moreton Morrell. He was very well behaved settled straight away - because the ground was so hard they did hacks around the land rather than XC and only trotted and he didn’t get worked up at all and would go first or last.
He has also done SJ at SRC was amazingly well behaved in collecting ring and the jumping ring.
The rider, 13 and her cousin 11 Hack their horses out on their own – they take them over motorway bridges and main roads and he has never put a foot wrong on a hack – Lorries tractors diggers idiots that drive too quickly he is great. He has also hacked solo and also been good.
Benji is a careful jumper with a plenty of scope, showing excellent technique and a natural desire to do his job, being willing with all types of SJ and simulated XC and XC including water, ditches, steps and combinations.
He is definitely more whoa than go, he has enough about him to compete but is not a forward going type. He is up to date with vaccs, dentist, farrier and worming. He is now ready for his new person to continue his education and enjoy getting out and about. He is perfectly suited to RC/PC or an all-rounder home.
Sad sale as rider is now looking for then next step up.
