Rosy – 9yo, approx. 15.1hh or 156cm Piebald Mare
A fun, capable and experienced all-rounder with a genuine love for her job!
Rosy is a forward, responsive and willing mare who loves to get out and do things. She has plenty of competition experience across showjumping, cross-country and dressage, making her a lovely prospect for someone wanting a horse to enjoy and compete across a variety of disciplines.
Rosy absolutely loves her cross-country! She is bold, confident and genuine over a variety of fences. She has competed successfully in showjumping at 80cm and 90cm, with some SJI points and plenty of unaffiliated placings to her name.
She is careful, rideable and controllable in the ring. Always ridden in a loose ring snaffle. But still takes you to the fence without coercion, has scope to progress further with the right rider.
She is equally enjoyable on the flat, with consistent dressage scores in the low 30s and some really lovely feedback and remarks from judges;
"lovely and correct paces’ and ‘a lovely obedient and willing horse"
She hacks alone or in company and is not the spooky type.
Rosy would make a lovely mother/daughter share or suit a capable teenager coming off ponies who wants a fun, experienced horse to get out competing on. She is an ideal grassroots prospect for someone looking to enjoy clinics, lessons, dressage, showjumping, cross-country and riding club activities.
She is straightforward to handle, polite on the ground and loads and travels well. She's happy to tie at the box or stand around between phases eating her haynet. Sound and healthy, with no vices or blemishes. Open to any vetting.
Rosy has not hunted in Ireland and so does not have that associated level of pace/anxiety when in a crowd.
With winter approaching, this is a lovely opportunity to get to know Rosy, enjoy some training and build a partnership over the winter months, ready to get out competing next spring.
A genuine, straight forward, fun all-rounder with experience, ability and plenty to offer the right home.
Transport to UK mainland included in asking price.
