Rafe is privately owned, he's 16.3 ISH, 9yrs (16-4-2017) Grade 3 Eventer. He's very bold xc and clever with his feet. He was 2nd in his last Novice event at Daunstey 2026. He does a smart test in every discipline. Originally with an amateur in Ireland he has plenty of experience at BE 100 & Novice but he was a bit much for his rider and didn't get placings. On coming to the UK he's been in training with a 4* rider for a year and always in the top ten under BE

He enjoys hacking & fun rides but he is a competition horse and keen so not for a novice. He will do a lovely relaxed canter but point him at a jump and he goes up a gear - he knows his job and is eager to get on with it. He has hunted, and will go first or last, and excels at team chase in any position. He's lovable on the ground and well mannered to groom, shoe, load etc. He has no lumps or illness history. He's at Somerford Park which has excellent trial facilities
