Chester is the most friendly and loving pony. We bought him for my daughter as a second pony for her to gain confidence and so that he could take her up the ranks from 40cm to 70cm. He has done a brilliant job of helping her to develop her riding and given her masses of confidence and she is now ready to progress to the next level.
Since we’ve had him we have done stay away camping, beach rides, Pony Club camp, Hunt fun rides, numerous Pony Club rallies, arena clinics and CrossCountry schooling. He likes to go out and do things and is always well-behaved. He was placed 3rd in the NSEA dressage qualifier and qualified for Hickstead. He came 2nd in the mini eventer challenge championship at Swalcliffe and came 3rd in the dressage at the Area 12 mini ODE championship.
Chester has beautiful flashy paces, goes in a lovely outline and does a very nice dressage test. Sadly for my daughter he has reached his limit and rather fallen out of love with jumping anything bigger than about 60cm.
We want to find Chester a family home where he will be loved and where he can teach another young person, help develop their confidence. His ideal next rider would be looking for their second pony to go out and have fun and to focus on flatwork and dressage at which he excels.
Chester is the most friendly pony and always welcomes us with a whicker. He’s good to hack and is sensible in traffic and open spaces. He is easy to catch and load, he’s good for the farrier, dentist, vet etc and he loves to be groomed. My daughter does everything for him, he’s excellent with children and dogs and he turns out with mares or geldings. We have loved our time with Chester and sadly he has done his job too quickly and my daughter is ready to progress onto bigger things.
