This handsome, exceptionally well-bred former dressage champion is now looking for an experienced, caring home where he can enjoy a quieter life.

He has stunning paces, impeccable manners and a wonderful temperament. I have owned him for five years, but as I am soon turning 69, I am finding his sensitivity in the arena a little more than I now want for my riding.

He is safe and easy to hack, alone or in company, and is good to hack along with dogs. He enjoys pole work and the occasional cross pole. He would suit a confident, well-balanced rider wanting to enjoy hacking, pole clinics, sponsored rides, riding club activities and simply having fun, rather than pursuing competitive dressage.

He has no vices and is good to catch, shoe, clip, load and travel. Snaffle mouth always. All vaccinations are fully up to date.

Rupert does need thoughtful management and therefore a knowledgeable home. He has had ulcers in the past but scoped clear in 2024 with no further issues. He does require restricted grazing after an episode of laminitis in one front foot in 2025, which was caught promptly with no recurrence. He also has some arthritis which is successfully managed with diet, supplements and regular physio. Vet history can be requested.
