Beautiful, Talented Mare with Exceptional Breeding
16.1–16.2hh | 13-year-old dark bay mare | Cornet Session x Ratina S
Tentatively offering for sale my beautiful mare to the very best of homes only.
Dream has exceptional breeding, talent and a kind nature. By Cornet Session (Cornet Obolensky) out of Ratina S (Rio Branco). She evented successfully, achieving placings up to BE Novice, and has show jumped on a ticket up to 1.15m. She has achieved multiple sub 30s at BE Novice and BE100 dressage.
Dream last competed in 2023 and has since produced two beautiful foals. Having made the decision not to pursue her eventing career further as I felt she lost her love for high a pressure competition routine, we would love to find her a home where she can enjoy a more varied life without the pressure of competition.
She would make a lovely all-rounder or mother-and-daughter share for an experienced, confident home looking for a beautiful horse to enjoy fun rides, hunting and lower-level competition. She would happily enjoy competing at lower levels, up to 1m/BE90/100, but we are looking for a home that will keep things fun and low-pressure rather than push her up the levels.
Super out hacking, both alone and in company, good open spaces and absolutely loves cross-country. She has also been hunting with the Beaufort, where she behaved very well. She can get keen in open spaces, although she is never nasty, so she is not suitable for a novice or nervous rider.
She is good and easy to handle in all other respects, including loading and with the farrier. She does require sedation for clipping. She is up to date with vaccinations, teeth, farrier and worming.
Dream has also proved herself to be a wonderful mum and would be a valuable addition to a breeding programme. She has taken first time on both occasions to frozen semen. She produced 2 exceptional fillies.
Now back in work as of 22nd October and behaved impeccably after 3 years off.
Completely sound and healthy - has never had any lameness whatsoever. She now slowly coming back into work for someone to love and enjoy.
A genuine, kind home is most important to us.
Heartbreaking sale after 8 wonderful years. She will only go to the very best of homes. Absolutely no dealers please. Would love to keep in contact with new owner.
