Evie is an absolutely gorgeous 15h rising 5 year old grey Connemara mare. For sale on behalf of her owner.
Evie is one in a million who has so much class, quality and potential with the most amazing temperament to match. She is very well bred being class 1 registered with 5 generations of pedigree recorded. She is a very eye catching and really stands out from the crowd. She is an ideal size for teens coming off ponies as well as adults so would make a brilliant mother/ daughter share too, she’s a lovely stamp with a nice deep girth so would easily take a taller rider. She is a very desirable type that will do lots of jobs. She has excellent conformation, is blemish free and has straight movement with very good feet (Nn for hoof wall). She is very correct and show quality, she would excel at working hunter. She is the perfect alrounder who excels across all disciplines with a real “can do” attitude, she is lovely now but has so much more to come with a very exciting future ahead of her. Best of all she is very safe sensible and rideable and is always a pleasure to work with.
Evie has three super paces. She works correctly between leg and hand into a soft outline. She is nice and light in the contact and always ridden in a snaffle. She gives you a lovely feel down the rein and is very equal on both reins. She is a good medium speed who goes nicely off the leg but is not at all sharp or sensitive. She's very rideable well balanced and nicely schooled for her age. She is nice and straight forward to ride with a good brain to work with; she’s very sane and sensible. She is a good girl to ride and doesn’t have any ridden vices. She has such a lovely attitude to her work and is a quick learner who always puts a smile on her riders face. She has the potential to excel in dressage, she has been out to arena hires and is now ready to go to a competition and work her way through the levels. She would also look super in the show ring.
Evie loves her jumping and makes a lovely neat shape over a fence. She goes into a fence in a lovely relaxed rhythm without rushing. She is very honest and genuine to jump. She doesn’t get at all strong or fizzy, juts super easy and straight forward and wants to do the job. She is very bold and jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. She has been to several jumping arena hires and training clear rounds where she has shown lots of potential for all riding club activities. She is very easy to ride around a course of fences and has currently been jumping around 80cm. She is very good to ride at new places and has a very good attitude to her jumping. She is now ready to go out to clinics and competitions.
She is equally as bold over xc jumps. She is very ridable and jumped everything asked of her in a sensible manner including water and ditches. She is a very straight forward ride and jumps out of a balanced rhythm. I can see her really excelling as an eventer too as she shows lots of potential at all 3 disciplines. She would make a super Cotesworld cup contender with some more mileage on the clock. She would also be very suited to working hunter.
Evie is lovely to hack both alone and in company. We are directly on a main through road and she is good with traffic, we just pull into a driveway to allow lorries and tractors to pass her where she stands quietly. She is super in open spaces, just takes everything in her stride and goes along with a smile on her face. She is very mannerly and will canter happily in any order on an easy rein. She was great cantering through stubble fields and didn’t get at all competitive. She has been on pleasure rides which she loves and is so much fun. She would be very well suited to someone wanting to combine pleasure rides with riding club, or equally just one or the other.
Evie has a superb kind friendly temperament. She is extremely polite and respectful of your space. She loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend as she is so interactive and forms a really strong bond with her person. She loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. She is a good to handle in all ways. She lives in and out and is happy turned out next to or in with other horses, she is very quiet in the field and gets on well with all horses and ponies. She loads perfectly (single handed) and travels like a dream. She really is such a genuine honest horse who deserves the best of homes.
Evie would be very suitable for a competent teenager coming off ponies and adults alike. She would make a fabulous riding/pony club horse as she has bags of potential across all 3 disciplines. He would also suit a home wanting to do lots of hacking/ pleasure rides. She would also suit a home wanting to do some dressage show jumping or eventing competitively. Sadly only for sale due to her owners sudden change in circumstances, owner would love to stay in touch. She is a real yard favourite and I have a real soft spot for her so she is only available to a 5* experienced home. She is very sound and healthy, passed a 5 stage vetting a couple of months ago.
