I think very highly of this mare and I don’t want to part with her but sadly putting the feelers out,
16.2 4yr old by chance cassal (cassal/carentino) lovely big mare with so much presence and potential. In her time with me, she’s gone from strength to strength. I’ve yet to find anything that phases her and her answer to every question is yes.
She has three flashy balanced paces and works in a nice consistent outline, in her first Dressage test she came 2nd in the prelim, she was so obedient and rideable in the boards, she is still green on the flat and a big horse that needs to continue strengthening but she is so balanced and soft in the hand with an attitude that wants to learn and try that makes her a seriously quick learner
To jump she is the perfect combination of careful and bold, she takes you to a fence without being strong and has never ever said no. She goes on any stride, is so forgiving and not at all spooky. She hasn’t been rushed and jumped 3 courses in the ring, including her first British novice (Footstick Casall) for just a pole and jumped clear round unafilliated 90s, she has loads of jump but again her canter is still weak and babyish so we haven’t pushed her but she gives a great feel and I know there’s a serious jump in there
Out xc she is again as straightforward as they come, she is bold and brave but never strong. She went xc schooling once and jumped everything I asked of her - ditches steps skinnies and she did it all With her ears pricked, then did a 70 hunter trial and again jumped round clear like it was the easiest thing ever, she travels nicely and covers the ground without pulling and is always straight to her fences. She is sensible in warm ups and stands politely on the lorry at shows including when others are taken away
She is good to hack alone and in company, good in traffic and open spaces. She is easy to do in all ways on the ground, she loves cuddle (although might not look like she does) good to catch clip shoe, goes out with geldings and not mareish, does have a resting bitch face but actually very sweet soppy mare who wants to be your friend. She is safe and has been ridden by a variety of riders and not bucked/reared/bolted but that said she won’t be sold to a novice as she is a forward thinking mare with an engine who deserves a rider who can continue her education and I’m certain she will excel in any sphere. She is quality enough to join a professionals string but straightforward enough for an amateur to produce (and type you can still have a fun mess around hack jumping logs in woods without worrying about being decked)
