Miss Pollyanna – “Velvet”

8-year-old Black Mare

A truly beautiful mare with looks, movement and temperament to match.

Velvet is a very special horse who has it all. Beautifully put together, with outstanding movement and a lovely presence, she is as genuine and kind as they come.

By a sire line including the infamous stallion Demonstrator, Velvet has proven herself to be an exceptionally versatile mare, with experience and success across several disciplines.

She has competed successfully in show jumping and one-day eventing, qualifying for British Riding Club Championships both as a team and individually, up to and including 1m, with plenty of scope to progress further.

She has also competed in dressage, currently working at Novice level, with masses of potential to go further in this discipline.

In the showing world, Velvet has successfully competed as both a Large Riding Horse and Working Show Horse, qualifying for the RIHS.

Velvet is a forward-going, athletic mare who is very much all there and knows her job. She would suit a confident, competent rider who can get the best out of her and appreciate her quality and ability. She is not a novice ride, but in the right hands she has so much to offer.

Away from competition, Velvet is an absolute pleasure to have around. She hacks happily alone or in company, is not nappy and takes everything in her stride.

She is fantastic to take out to competitions, whether that means standing on the lorry or happily settling in a stable all day. She loves people and genuinely wants to be everyone’s best friend.

A quality, versatile competition mare with a fantastic temperament, proven ability and so much still to give. A lovely opportunity for someone wanting a talented mare to enjoy and progress with across multiple disciplines.

Would also be great for someone coming off ponies
