Nifty – 15.1hh | 5-year-old Gelding
A seriously exciting young competition horse with all the ingredients to go right to the top.
Nifty is a naturally brave, athletic and genuine young horse who has already enjoyed a fantastic start to his competitive career.
Having competed up to 90cm so far, speed derbies, including open water, Nifty has demonstrated a fantastic attitude towards his job. He has also enjoyed cross-country schooling, dressage, working hunter, hacking and a variety of other experiences, proving himself to be a wonderfully versatile partner.
In the jumping arena, Nifty is a genuinely confidence-giving horse. He is naturally brave, doesn't tend to question his fences and is incredibly forgiving if his rider doesn't always get things quite right. He has a lovely attitude towards his job and is always looking for the other side.
His biggest attribute is undoubtedly his temperament. Nifty is the sort you can give the reins to, sit quietly and trust to get on with the job. He is forgiving, sensible beyond his years and gives his rider a tremendous amount of confidence. He doesn’t need to be micromanaged and is happiest with a rider who allows him to do his job.
Nifty would suit a competitive home for a small adult or experienced teenager looking for a talented young horse to enjoy and produce.
Although exceptionally genuine, Nifty is still a young horse and is sensitive by nature. He thrives with a light, balanced and sympathetic rider who can ride quietly and confidently. He is not suited to a heavy-handed, kick-and-flap style of riding. He responds best to light aids, a considerate seat and a rider who understands that less is more.
We will continue to produce Nifty and give him further experience. Therefor price will increase the more we do so we are opening him to potential homes now.
I have absolutely no doubt that Nifty will go on to make someone an incredibly special competition horse. He has the ability, attitude and willingness to achieve great things, and finding him the right home is our absolute priority.
Nifty is open to any vet inspection. He passed a vetting inspection in July this year which can be shown. Please note we will require videos of potential buyers before committing to viewings. It is paramount we match the right rider to Nifty so please be honest about your capabilities.
He is excellent to clip, bath, farrier, load, travel, hacks alone or in company, lives in or out. Tack and rugs available at cost.
