Due to the sad retirement of my beautiful horse, I am now searching for a steady, trustworthy best friend to enjoy new adventures with. We have a super, kind & knowledgeable family home along with my retired boy, our daughter’s pony & our 2 Shetlands. Our horses are treated as part of our family & receive the absolute best of care & I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, I am a middle-aged mum who has been mostly out of the saddle over the last four years (due to my horses ongoing health issues) so I am certainly no longer as confident as I used to be! I look forward to enjoying much more sedate adventures nowadays, so I am seeking a laid-back best friend who does not require a fast-paced way of life or need riding most days to remain safe & sane.

We will be enjoying leisurely hacks, attending organised pleasure rides, lots of forest trips & maybe the odd clinic but nothing competitive. I will often be hacking alongside my young daughter on her pony so it is especially important that I find a truly steady, trustworthy type who I can depend on.
Our horses are kept at home with us, so he/she needs to be gentle natured, enjoy attention & be safe to handle on the ground as the children are often around with me.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, it is likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle, so it is very important that my new horse is trustworthy around this type of traffic. Although I will often hack out with my daughter or friends, I will also be hacking alone at times so he/she must be happy/safe hacking out solo.

I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ or ‘bombproof’ & I am open to compromise but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would wish to have the horse vetted.

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

Kilmovee Black Pearl has the kindest eye and is a genuine horse, full history known and she has not been rushed.

Gives you a lovely safe feel to ride and has been correctly handled and started from a foal.

She enjoys her work and now needs to find a loving knowledgeable home to continue her education and have fun!

No vices , excellent in the stable, to load and travel and handle on the ground.

Has excellent feet and passed 5 stage vetting last yr with clean x rays. Does have mild sweet itch which is easily managed with a rug and fly mask as you can see in the videos and pictures.

Still green so although she wouldn’t be bothered by a novice rider she still needs to continue her journey and is available only to the best of homes.

Lovely Full Irish Draught gelding with super breeding.

Ash is destined to make a top class ridden horse for any discipline.

He has a lovely easy going nature and wants to please. He is well developed and going very well under saddle, he has hacked around the busy village and seen traffic. He hacks around the fields and around the woods.

He is forward thinking and very uphill to ride. Lovely comfy canter.

Again willing and is so nice to work with. Confidently jumping around a course of fences about 90cms. Loves to jump!

He has been out in the lorry to hire places and local showjumping shows. XC schooled, he behaves well, travels well alone and with others. He has competed at a unaffiliated dressage competition and started BD dressage. He has 1 BD point and placed with 1st, a 2nd and a couple of 4th places. He will gain more scores with time to take him out more.

Behaved so well around the other horses and then once in the ring. Some good comments and marks from judges. He has been to test riding and clinic's also. Ash is a nice type to progress dressage, being sensible to work with and athletic nice moving for his breed.

He is very well bred. Serious enquires please for very special boy! Very nice to handle/well mannered. Good to shoe, clip, catch, load. Loveable horse who deserves the best of homes.

No vices. Please note he is a young horse, that has not been rushed. He needs a home to further produce him correctly. He has been with us 2 years and been a pleasure to back and start on his journey.

Ideal age between 5 -10, or alternatively would consider slightly younger if it’s an old head on young shoulders type and will be easy to bring on.

Good to hack alone and in company. Not overly sensitive or reactive, however not expecting a machine so the odd look at something is fine. Must be good in all traffic.

Not looking for anything that needs a competitive lifestyle - just a nice all round horse that’s looking for an experienced loving home. Will be used for hacking, fun rides, flatwork and pole clinics primarily.

Good to shoe, load etc and no vices. Must be open to vetting and if a private sale would appreciate disclosure of veterinary history.

Budget up to around £10k.

15h, 9 year old traditional county level mare. Pixie really is top quality, she is schooling very nicley on the flat, snaffled mouth at all times while being responsive to your leg and a lovely way of going.

Pixie is homozygous and has produced two fantastic quality foals, passing on her gene to the last colt who is outstanding.

Quiet to ride first or last and is excellent in open spaces and in the heaviest of traffic, good to shoe box and clip.

A standout horse whose temperament is second to none - it’s impossible not to fall in love with Tom!!

Tom has hunted with The EDH - he is a natural on the hunting field. Stands at the meet (he’s certain everyone is there to see him!) enjoys watching hounds work and is mannerly. He doesn’t get silly or strong. He’ll be a serious hunter for the future!

Tom has three balanced paces, good transitions & will take the correct leads. He is beginning to hold a soft natural carriage and would produce a lovely dressage test in time - he’s certain to catch the judges eye!

He has been SJ training and XC schooling, he absolutely loves being out and about and puts 110% into everything he does! He’s bold and forward thinking, schooling to 80cm currently and has shown the scope to increase, he enjoys his work and has a really willing attitude.

Hacks alone and in company, regularly ridden in traffic and open spaces. Tom is the same horse at home and away.

He doesn’t need riding everyday, he’s an absolute gentleman. He’d happily build someone’s confidence, although young himself he’s got plenty to share… He has been professionally produced and now he's ready to hand the reins over to a variety or rider abilities.

He has a FAULTLESS temperament - he’s so kind, gentle and full of character. We absolutely adore Tom and so does everyone who meets him!
