Womble
16.2hh
Cob
Massive weight carrier
Kind, Calm, Loving Chap

Womble is an impressive 16.2hh weight carrying cob, with a loving temperament and calm disposition. He is easy to handle on the ground and under saddle and is always well mannered.

Womble was purchased at 3 years old, turned out to mature, then professional broken at 3 years 10 months he was then introduced to the riding school setting where he was ridden by staff and competent clientele, he was a quick learner and settled into this very busy environment without any problems, he participated in our group and private lessons, working on the flat, over poles and progressed quickly onto lateral work, small coloured and rustic fences, although still relatively green in the school, he was eager to learn, though new to poles and certain ridden exercises, he approaches each new task with a genuine willingness and calm disposition. He is not spooky, spiny, sharp, strong or reactive—just still developing his understanding. As a blank canvas, he offers the perfect opportunity for an independent rider to guide his progress and help shape his education. With time and consistency, he shows promise in working in a soft outline, he is developing good balance, lateral movement, and responsiveness to aids. He also continued to improve over small fence and log with quiet enthusiasm.

Womble hacks out confidently alone or in company and is entirely unfazed by the most challenging environments. He remains calm when faced with heavy traffic, including buses, tractors, lorries, and large agricultural machinery. He will wait patiently at roundabouts or traffic lights and never reacts with fear or tension. On open ground, he stays composed at all paces, whether leading, following, or riding solo. He never pulls, rushes, or attempts to overtake—even when returning home.

His exceptional manners extend to every aspect of handling. Womble is easy to catch, groom, bath, load, clip, and handle for the vet, dentist, and farrier. He currently lives barefoot but has previously been shod and is comfortable with either. He stands quietly for long periods without any restraint, happily enjoying being groomed and pampered. Children regularly lead and handle him without issue, and he will calmly stand at the mounting block until the rider is comfortably in the saddle.

More recently, he has begun to show a dislike for arena work. I believe this is largely due to the amount of schooling he has been asked to do, with very little variety. As a result, he has become a little stale and reluctant to go forward in the arena, unfortunately we have limited hacking facilities, so arena work is prominently where we ride, as we don’t have access to bridleways—only grass verges alongside roads or extremely busy roads. Initially we felt that focusing on arena schooling would be the best approach however in hindsight a variation would have been more beneficial.

Womble absolutely thrives when hacking out and continues to perform exceptionally well, even in heavy, fast-moving traffic. He takes busy and challenging road environments in his stride and continues to excel in these situations. I feel he would really benefit from a break from arena work. However, as we are a riding school, arena work is our 1st point of call.
Unfortunately Womble is not earning his keep, hence the reduced price.

Womble is a genuine confidence-giver who can be left unridden for weeks or even months and still be safe and consistent when brought back into work. He is incredibly low maintenance. He has never suffered from laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or lameness, and has passed all annual riding school inspections with flying colours (equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting).

He currently lives out at night in a large mixed herd and stabled during the day but is equally content stabled or turned out full time, he is happy to be stabled / turned out solo, he is not clingy at all, he absolutely loves people and attention and adores a cuddle. He is quiet, independent, and never causes trouble in the field or stable. Being sold on behalf of a working livery.

Serious enquiries only. Please call or WhatsApp for more information or to arrange a viewing.

Golden Delight (Millie) combines the rare combination of presence and talent with a lovely safe and easy temperament making her the perfect horse for ambitious amateur rider.

She has 3 expressive, powerful paces and is a forward ride and lovely soft snaffle mouth. Millie is low milage as she has been allowed to grow into her frame and is therefore a little green for her age.

She still needs to learn to balance herself at times and currently needs her rider to help her stay connected, but she is a quick learner and loves her schooling.

She shows real ability to both collect and take the weight behind and extend and has potential for the higher levels. She is very focused and does not spook in the arena.

Millie has seen coloured fences and is bold and honest to a jump but she has not done much jumping and her forte is dressage.

Millie is good to hack out alone and in company and is polite and controllable in open spaces. Millie was imported from Ireland and could have very well hunted their but we have no proof of this. She does show all the attributes to be a top class hunter as she is not marish or bothered by other horses close to her. She also would be a fantastic horse for fun/beach rides etc.

Millie is polite and easy to handle, good to catch, box, shoe, clip etc; she is a kind and friendly mare who loves people.

She really is a horse of a lifetime for the right person and is only very sadly for sale due to current owners ongoing back problem. Not for someone very novice or nervous as she does have an engine and big movement.

Millie has some very small sarcoids on her inner thigh that have not changed over the last year. She also has a heart murmur that has been fully investigated by a cardiologist is not of any concern. Report is available to confirm this. This is reflected in price.

Smart 5-year-old mini cob gelding standing approx. 13hh, located in Carmarthenshire (15 mins from Llandeilo).

A very eye-catching traditional type with plenty of bone, feather and presence. He is a friendly, inquisitive character who enjoys human interaction and will make a lovely pony for someone wanting a rewarding project.

He was backed and hacking out last summer (2025) but has since been turned away and is currently being sold from the field. As such, he will need bringing back into work.

Good to catch, up to date with farrier and dentist, and passported. Currently barefoot but has previously been shod without issue. Lives out happily and maintains good condition.

He can be a little impatient at times, so would benefit from a knowledgeable and consistent handler to continue his education. With the right person, he has the potential to make a super all-rounder / happy hacker / future family pony.

Moves well and is sound with no known health issues.

Genuine sale as we simply do not have the time or experience he deserves.

Freda is a rising 4 years old (DOB 06.05.22) maxi cob. Homebred foal from my Irish Draught mare, by a HW show cob stallion, Moon River (Connemara (Lecarrow King) x show winning maxi cob mare). Freda has been well-handled since a foal, and is growing into a lovely, substantial mare who is light on her feet.

She was lunged, long-reined and backed in the Autumn 2025 (video is day 3 of riding). She took everything in her stride and was hacking around the farm without company on day 5 of riding. With everything in place for this year, we turned her away to grow.

We brought her back into work, three weeks ago. She now has a strong foundation for her future and is confidently long-reining around the farm without company, including through the farmyard past farm machinery and lorries, stepping through puddles etc.

Quality heavyweight hunter or maxi cob in the making, ready to begin her work under saddle.

Sad sale of my beautiful black 15.3hh gelding. He has the most amazing gleaming black coat and striking white feathers — he looks like a mini Shire. I’ve been stopped several times and asked if he is a Shire.

He came from a well-known, reputable producer in Ireland and, whilst there, he hacked, hunted, did riding club activities and XC schooled. Since he’s been here, we have hacked and done a few pub rides, including a Christmas one where he made sure I got me home after one too many Baileys.

Despite being a big cob, he is not a plod — he is a responsive ride.

He has never been naughty — never bucked, reared or bolted. He isn’t strong and is ridden in a snaffle.

He is great on the road.

Great for the farrier and to tack up, brush and pick out feet.

When I purchased him, he had recently passed a 5-stage vetting.

Having to sell due to personal circumstances, which I’m happy to disclose to interested parties — this is in no way any fault of his.

Big Betty - I've broken and produced this mare carefully and slowly due to her size - I spent the first six weeks just hacking her through the forests and popping the odd logs and over a few dykes.

Betty rides beautifully in the arena and for such a lump of a mare is very light off the ground and you can hold her effortlessly into the tack.

Betty is ready to go out competing now and I'd be very surprised even with an amateur rider she wouldn't be a the top of the placings.

Betty hacks both alone and in company and goes both in front and behind and will turn for home and leave the other horse if I need to head back early.

Betty moves unbelievably well and what I really like about her is that she has the temperament of her Irish mother a Clydesdale mare with all the quality of her continental stallion - centre stage.

Id really hope Big Betty would find a home to fulfill her full potential but on the other hand I'm equally open for her to have a leisurely life making someone happy after a hards days work on an evening.

Big Betty is both blemish and vice free and I've many videos available on request.

14hh- 14.2hh 16yr old handsome heavy weight cob. Loads of bone - real weight carrier.

Perfect to hack alone and in company. Goes first or last. Not at all spooky and is great with all traffic including farm machinery. Goes nicely in the school - 3 nice paces. A bit rusty as just been a happy hacker lately but have popped him the in the school and he happily did all 3 paces on both reins.

Goes off leg but not strong. Previously used for long distance rides however we have only done roadwork. Really loves being ridden. Doesn’t need riding every day. Gentleman on the ground. Polite even with food. Good with electric fencing.

Good for teeth, vet, farrier. Used to dogs and kids running around and happy for kids to brush him and sit on him bareback etc. 16yrs old but very low mileage so no wear and tear. Perfect for a happy hacker/ low level allrounder or general family pony.

Very sad sale but has had a couple of “cobbie” moments (nothing dramatic – no-ones ever left the saddle!) but these have unsettled his older lady rider who feels a bit over horsed therefore not novice ride and needs experienced rider. He does need sedating to clip and has got slight malanders.

10* home wanted and would like to keep in touch.

Brian – 3yo Gelding – 16.hh approx

“To hog or not to hog”………that is the question for your new horse………

Dun gelding with black points and a smart, even white blaze.
Currently standing at 161cm on the stick.

Would make a cracking Maxi if hogged

Maxi Cob/ Working Show Horse/ Working Cob

Leaving hair on so new owner can decide hog of not to hog…..

Unregistered breeding, quality type with straight, correct movement.

Brian is a well-handled young horse with a kind, genuine attitude. He is:
• Good to handle
• Well behaved in the stable
• Sociable and easy in the field (turned out with other geldings)
• Used to being stabled at night

He is:
• Fully vaccinated
• Regularly wormed
• Feet trimmed routinely
• Bridled and bitted
• Started lunging
• De-sensitising work well started

Moves straight and correct with a loose, natural jump and a willing attitude.

No vices, no blemishes.

He has travelled in two different types of lorries without issue.

Brian was vetted on purchase last year with no advisories, and I am confident he would pass a young horse vetting again.

Brian is ready for someone to put their own stamp on and bring on. With his type, movement, and colour, he has all the attributes to make a very smart 4-year-old next year.

Very sad sale due to my own injury and ongoing surgeries, meaning I won’t be able to do him justice this year, so he is being offered now to find the right, long-term home.

Transport can be arranged within the UK & international transport is also possible via Greenvale Transport.

Offers in region of low 5’s **but open to reasonable offers** for a genuine sale open to vetting

Robin is a full up 14.2/3hh 5yr old , very strikingly marked con gelding
This handsome chap is a beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. He is incredibly kind, safe and tries his best at everything he does.
Although robin is still only young he is quiet and safe whilst still been a fun responsive ride,
He has done loads of hacking and is happy alone and in company and in heavy traffic. Over the past few moths he has began schooling at home, arena hires and working in the field. He is working beautifully over poles and will happily pop a little jump. He naturally softens into a lovely outline.
Robin would benefit from continuing his education in all spheres to become a well rounded all rounder.
He has a fantastic action and a soft snaffle mouth including in open spaces!
He would do very well at dressage with more education.

Robin does have a dropped ear on his left side, this is due to nerve damage that he sustained as a foal, it does not effect him in anyway and he is very happy for you to touch it. It is purely cosmetic.

Exceptional to handle, clip, load , travel,
Up to date with teeth, vacs , worming etc

Suitable for a novice or mother daughter share as he is super safe and kind , but would benefit from some guidance with his flatwork and jumping as he is still green.
Please no time wasters
And only the very best loving homes need enquire for the is one in a million.

A big yellow dog

He has 9 inches of bone making him a fabulous weight carrier.

He hacks alone and in company and seen a variety of traffic.

Beautifully put together a lovely substantial sort with correct movement. His canter is to die for like sitting on a rocking horse. He is super light on his feet and got placed at his first showing show in hand and ridden.

Popping over fences confidently big bold jump Lovely cuddly person.

Competed showjumping show and been placed.

Placed showing in Maxi cob classes

Placed dressage.

Fantastic out hunting, will stand and jump anything in front of him. Schooled XC inc water, ditches, banks etc

Even started some trick riding at a friends, flags, bridges, umbrellas etc

Could literally turn his hoof to any discipline.

Has not been rushed or pushed. Would be suited to a rider used to bringing horses on.

You would struggle to find anything of this size/quality/substance/colour again so please no dreamers.
