Doogie has been with us for the current season and has proved himself a most genuine and accommodating sort. He has been out with a variety of packs, including the Staff College Drag Hounds and the Coakham Bloodhounds, taking everything in his stride. He is a sensible ride in a snaffle, stands quietly at the meet, and is mannerly in the field, showing himself to be good with hounds. Across country he is brave and willing, happily popping rails, ditches, hedges and the like, and is particularly pleasing in open spaces where he remains level-headed, never becoming strong or silly. He gives one the feel of a horse who will continue to make up into a most dependable hunter with further mileage.

On the flat, Doogie is working nicely for his age, with three correct, rhythmical paces and a willing attitude to his work. He is beginning to work in a consistent outline and is responsive without being sharp. With time and continued schooling, he would undoubtedly produce a very pleasing dressage test.

At home he is an absolute pleasure to have about the yard. He is easy to manage, turns out happily either in a mixed herd or on his own, and is free from stable vices.

He has been out clear round jumping at Felbridge Showground up to 70cm, which we feel is more than sufficient for his age, and he has given a very good account of himself. There is certainly scope for him to progress further in time. He has also enjoyed beach rides and pub rides, taking these experiences in his usual relaxed and sensible manner.

Doogie would suit someone seeking a smart, safe hunter, all-rounder or riding club horse. He is straightforward, genuine and easy to ride and handle, making him an enjoyable prospect for a wide range of riders.

Full history known. Good to load, clip, catch & shoe.

15.2/3hh maxi cob mare. Absolute happy hacker / low level all rounder. Owner for 13 years.

Willow has been with me since she was a 2 year old. She was backed at 3-4 and became my novice husband’s horse when we got together 10 years ago and he wanted to get involved with the horses.

He’s done all sorts with her from fun rides, XC schooling, a little bit of jumping and tons of hacking. She’s always been very safe and looked after him. He often used to carry our Jack Russell on board down busy roads so he could come along riding too! She absolutely loves water and will go in no matter how deep and have a good splash around!

She’s very good in all kinds of traffic. Great to catch, load, with farrier etc etc. She’ll live in or out 24/7 or a bit of both. She’s fine in a mixed heard. She’s good feet and has been barefoot most of her life.

She’s a very kind and easy mare who is only for sale because my husband has totally lost interest and she’s just getting wasted with us.

She bred a lovely foal last year and has just been brought back into work so needs more top line building up. I was going to wait to advertise her but we don’t have lots of grass so that will come easily with some better grazing! She is absolutely a horse than can be picked up and left whenever you want. She’s never needed regular work to remain sensible, she’s just a bit rusty in the school as my husband never really enjoyed doing that but she’s sensible and tries to please.

She’s the type you can just throw anyone on and let them have a go. His mates have raced her up open fields after a few beers who’ve never ridden before and she was so safe and looked after them.

She’s up to date with everything and ready to go out and be enjoyed this summer! Photos are from over the years with the ones in a Pessoa showing her as she is now.

So much potential!

A lovely 6 year old, 15h bay irish gelding with the kindest temperament and a genuine nature. This super cob has plenty of potential and a very exciting future ahead.

He is easy to handle on the ground and enjoys his work, offering a fun and rewarding ride. A brave type, he hacks alone and in company and is continuing to gain confidence with his education.

With his age he’s still young and green, he is not a first pony, and would be best suited to a confident rider who can continue his schooling and bring out the best in him.

Would make a great Pony Club/RC prospect, mother/daughter share, or all rounder. He has all the attributes to go on and do a variety of jobs, with potential to progress further in the right hands.

Good to box, shoe and clip

A kind, genuine pony looking for a knowledgeable home to continue his education.

The real deal Clydesdale gelding , 16yo, approx 16.3/17hh

‘Denzil’ has been in the same home the past 9 years and been an extremely valued and loved member of the family. He is only being sold due to other commitments and health issues leaving him without that time he really deserves.

Extremely good doer with no vices. He became the yard favourite from the very day he stepped into our yard. Loves affection, stands all day to be clipped , bathed , tacked up etc! Golden to catch and handle on the ground in all ways. Loads and travels perfectly. Lives in or out , very low maintenance.

Denzil has taught several people to ride however isn’t completely a ‘kick kick kick ‘ type. He loves being out and about and can be forward when enjoying himself. Always in a snaffle and totally safe and sane. Currently giving lessons to my 8 year old daughter and being adored here as one of our own

Works well in the school in all three paces. A nice leg in each corner type and anyone’s ride. Will pop logs and small fences etc. My yard girls are currently enjoying taking him on woodland rides and nannying our breakers out on the roads.

Superb in the heaviest of traffic , can be seen on our very busy 60mph main road without any bother!

Denzil has been well hunted , enjoyed many a fun ride, as well as riding club events and heaps of hacking and fun with his current owners.

Good with vet and dentist , up to date with everything with no previous health issues. Denzil does have mild sweet itch that can be easily managed.

Denzil is a very sought after type , a family home is desired where he can be a member of your family. Come and meet him and let him do the talking!

I have owned Lullah for coming up to a year, having bought her after a 25 year gap from horses and unfortunately didn't anticipate how nervous I would be and because of this I'm not doing her justice.

Lullah is genuine and kind, with lovely manners. She loves being groomed and pampered and will fall asleep while you stroke her. She comes to call in the field, is excellent for the farrier (barefoot) and is good to load and travel.

Lullah is is happier hacking in company, she will hack alone but needs a confident rider to give her confidence and this is where I'm letting her down.

She has done arena hire, lessons and a pole clinic with me and proved herself responsive and keen to learn. I feel she is best suited to a competent and confident young rider that is looking for a genuine young horse to bring on. Lullah is very much a blank canvas with huge potential.

I haven't jumped her due to my nerves but have videos of her jumping in her previous home and of her on hound exercise.

Lullah has no vices and is happy in or out, in a herd or individual turnout.

She passed a vetting when I bought her and had a clear strangles test.

This is a very sad sale of a genuine horse who enjoys her work and tries to please. Lullah will only go to a knowledgeable home capable of continuing her education.

Price includes tack (less than 12 months old and a fitted saddle).

  • A real favourite with all who meet him

Bred for conformation and temperament, this kind-hearted Cob X is still low mileage and ready to go on to give someone a world of fun.

Jed is snaffle mouthed and works very nicely on the flat. With balanced, expressive paces, we think he can go on to excel in a range of disciplines, with particular potential in the show ring.

He hacks out well around roads and in open spaces, alone or in company, happy in front or behind and is good in traffic.

He’s hunted, done clinics and fun-rides with previous owner and will happily pop round a little course of jumps in a nice rhythm.

He was purchased from his breeder and has been with his current owner for three years where he has mainly been hacking and schooling since then so full history is known.

A real favourite with all who meet him, he loves people and will stand all day to be pampered.

Good to clip, shoe and catch etc. Up to date with vacc’s and teeth. Will turn out with mares or geldings.

He can sometimes get a reaction to pollen in the spring, but this has never been problematic and a nose-net tends to help. Has occasionally been seen to weave in his stable when settling into a new place or when there is lots going on.

He’s a big, well built boy and rides nicely forward off the leg so please no beginners or real novices, though he’s always been impeccably behaved!

He loves a job to do and is happiest in a regular routine. It really is hard to fault this sweet natured chap. It’s an incredibly tough decision to let him go so only this most suitable, kind and knowledgeable home is sought after.

Current owner would love to stay in touch.
He has an extensive wardrobe including fitted saddle, which can be negotiated with price.
Open to any vetting.
