So this is a decision we havent taken lightly and one we may regret. Tiffin is an incredibly talented pony but due to Covid and having 2 other 148s and also a horse, it isn't possible for me to run them all.
It is our last year on Juniors and this pony will go to the top with a rider with more time than us left.
Tiffin. (Kylebrack Star) - Fei and Jmb measured. Full up 148. 2010 full Connemara.
Evented to Pony Trials, Fei International could go back easily to pure BE. Clever cross country machine.
We have been jumping BS since end 2019. Incredibly careful.
254 points BS. Still in Discovery. Qualified Discovery Newc and Fox (x3) 2nd rounds 2021. Blue Chip Coral. Stepped up to Members for just a pole in the jump off.

Merrie Middleton (aka Tony the pony) is a really versatile chap, he has proven himself across the board and is ready to fulfil his full potential in any sphere.
I have owned Tony since a 4yo and know his full riding history as I have broken him and produced him myself.
Since November 2019 he has completed multiple beach rides, sponsored rides, training clinincs, dressage competitions (prelim level), hound exercise/hunting meets, show jumped, cross country schooled and been used as a general leisure pony/happy hacker for various people from my yard.
Tony rides into a light contact and has a soft mouth, he is easy to get onto the bit even for the younger riders. He is responsive to the leg out hacking, however occasionally needs a little more encouragement off the leg in the school but I certainly wouldn't class him as lazy. He has an expressive walk and relaxed rhythm, the trot is active and the canter is becoming more and more uphill as he develops into his prime. Snaffle mouthed at all times.
Tony shows a lot of promise in the dressage/show ring. He achieved 70% at Prelim level (3rd out of a large class) and still has plenty of margin for higher marks. He has a good depth of chest, broad shoulders and appropriate bone to make him suitable for the show ring as a WHP/ SHP. Clean limbed. Last time I put a stick to him he measured in at 140cm (just shy of 14hh). Despite his short stature he would easily carry a rider up to 12 stone so would suit a mother-daughter share, he takes your leg up so even taller riders wouldn't look out of place on him.
Tony has schooled round 90cm fences and produced clear rounds at 80cm level. Due to Covid we haven't been able to compete at SJ like I originally planned so he is yet to compete against the clock. Despite this, he is nimble and quick so would easily excel as a future teenagers BS pony as he has scope and technique to progress beyond 1m tracks. He is growing in confidence towards fillers with every outing, he will occasionally have a look at the first few fences but once he is in his rhythm he will lock on and take you round - unfortunately our course training has been interrupted by lockdown restrictions therefore inhibiting progress over bigger tracks. Tony would be better suited to a competent jockey to further his career in this field. He has taken novices over fences at home and is quite forgiving, but he is a sensitive soul and wouldn't tolerate an unbalanced rider for too long before losing confidence. He has schooled round Felbridge and Pyecombe's courses so has seen a wide variety of fillers and spooky jumps.
Tony has schooled over various solid fences and seen ditches, water, steps and skinnies. He is much more confident with a lead but has schooled round XC courses solo too, with a less experienced rider he would do well for a season's hunting to gain him confidence jumping solid obstacles.
Tony is really sensible in large groups of horses, never fizzy or strong. Good to hack alone/in company/in open fields/roads, familiar with all farm traffic. He will lead or go behind, always pulls up. He will go at the back of the hunt or right up front, not phased by other horses whizzing past him.
Tony is a saint to handle, he leads politely for even the smallest of handlers, will stand to be fussed all day. Good to bath/clip/shoe/load/plait/travel/for vet/for dentist. Really good on the ground at shows/events - will wait patiently with a haynet for his turn if travelling with another.
Good doer, will live in or out, very adaptable sort.
His only flaw is that if he becomes stressed/worried it can manifest itself as spookyness under saddle - however it is easily manageable with a consistent rein contact and positive use of leg! at his worst he is capable of a sharp spin and occasionally will buck to the riders leg in canter transitions (with an unfamiliar rider) but usually this is as a result of tension/nerves on his behalf, a firm but sympathetic approach is needed for this boy. He has had plenty of different riders on him but can be particular about who he likes and who he doesn't like!
