With a couple of horses successfully back with their owners or sold on, we now have stables available to welcome more horses on competition, sales or schooling livery. We would love to welcome some new owners or part owners and collaborations.

Alicia competes internationally and loves producing young horses up the levels and giving them confident starts to their careers. Alicia has competed at the European Championships, previously been on the World Class Program, has competed at Grand Prix and trains with Carl Hester.

The recent work that is taking place at our yard in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside means that along with top quality care and training we can also provide great facilities!
Large and very airy monarch stables, endless hacking, all year turnout and grazing , 25 x 60 arena with mirrors and showjumps, wet and dry bays and most importantly a calm, professional and friendly environment that our competition horses all thrive in.

Luke Baber-Davies is a renowned expert in all aspects of dressage and riding with over 30 years of experience, with a special focus on starting and re-training dressage horses. His professional services are tailored to meet your individual requirements, with a strong emphasis on care, honesty, and attention to detail. At Blackwater Equestrian horses and ponies can be taken for schooling/sales or long/short term livery where one to one care is provided whether aiming for competition or just pure enjoyment. The boxes are all generously proportioned 12x14m with rubber matting and underfloor heating with stable cameras automatic water drinkers and approximately over 30 acres of paddocks surrounding the yard all post and rail and electric fencing.
Mark & Claire have a wealth of experience in the equine field and practical knowledge of coaching and schooling horses/ponies at all levels in showjumping XC and dressage. Mark Hallion has a lifetimes experience in producing horses and ponies, a thorough knowledge of breeding lines and an exceptional eye for horse correctness and conformation coupled with a practical understanding of good equine husbandry and nursing horses after injury and illness.
Horses at Blackwater are managed on an individual basis, a bespoke programme can be put together to meet the horse and riders requirements. Horses can be exercised by Mark,Claire and the team at Blackwater or clients can ride daily and have full use of the horse walker, all weather arena, off road hacking, cross country field & show-jumps. We cater for schooling horses/ponies from being totally unfit and taken through to competition level fitness or post injury rehabilitation or keeping the horse ready during school term enabling children to ride at weekends or simply to improve a horses way of going. Advice can be given on all aspects of equine care including a competition guidance programme if required and lessons, of course, can be provided to keep owners in tune with their horse. For the non competitive person, a small family yard provides a fun atmosphere for you to enjoy your horses all year round.

We are based just outside Broadway, Cotswolds and are able to offer a rare vacancy for top quality Full or Competition Livery.

Livery to include full care and training/exercise if desired. Training on own horse with Lucy and/or Daniel. Both riders previously worked for Carl Hester, have ridden international and trained horses to GP. Experienced both training and managing horses from young horses to Advanced.

Top team of vets, physio, farrier, visiting trainer and own choice welcome

Existing horses including young horses through to GP. Clients to include pony/young rider, non competing up to competing at Inter I. We pride ourselves on being very kind and friendly to both horse and owner but with experience and results at National and International level.

Our facilities include 20x60 outdoor arena & 20x40 indoor arena, 20m lunge pen all recently renovated with Equestrian Surfaces Soundtrack. Both with mirrors and are regularly maintained.

Very large stables with sealed rubber matting and Horselight.
