An exciting prospect for an ambitious rider, this quality Welsh Cob stallion has been professionally backed and brought on this year. He is now ready for someone to take him further.

Already successful in hand, he recently attended his first ridden show, where he was placed and impressed with his manners and potential.

By the late great, Glanvyrnwy Temptation, he has exceptional breeding and the traditional stamp that is increasingly hard to find. For someone with HOYS ambitions, this is an opportunity to bring on a promising stallion without buying outright.

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

Wally is an eye-catching 17hh Irish Sports horse gelding by Sir Shutterfly

Wally is an incredibly genuine, and talented gelding who has taken his owner from 80cm to the Chairmans cup over the last 4 years and is now sadly selling him only due to going to university.

Wally is a striking horse who eludes scope and has the kindest nature. He has done BE, pony club, SEG and unaffiliated competitions, proving himself to be able to go up and down the levels. However, cross-country is what he loves, he is bold and brave and will jump anything asked of him. He has a fanstantic brain and gives his rider endless confidence with his honest attitude and love for his job. On the flat and showjumping,

Wally is forward-thinking and responsive, he is certainly not a “kick-along” type. Although he is the gentlest of giants and doesn’t have a bad bone in his body, he does have a few quirks so he wouldn’t be suited to a novice or nervous rider, but a competent rider who enjoys a horse that takes them into a fence and wants to work up the levels. He is an incredibly rewarding and fun horse who has lived in the same home for 4 years so finding the right long-term home is extremely important. He loves attention and is a huge character and so would suit someone looking for a quality all-rounder/eventer to continue having fun and being competitive with. Wally is a real family horse who is best suited to one rider.

The right home is far more important than the price, so all homes will be vetted carefully. Wally has had a year off, although not due to any serious injuries which I am very happy to discuss more. He will continue to compete until he is leased.
