Goose is a smart, genuine and competitive 16.3hh, 11yo ISH gelding by Maltstriker x Bahrain Cruise.

I’ve owned him since he was 3 and we’ve done everything together. With a strong focus on eventing, he has competed and won at 90 level, with numerous double clears and top 10 placings at BE90. He has also won at Prelim dressage, has multiple placings and double clears at unaffiliated showjumping, and has been successful at hunter trials.

He has started the 2026 season strongly, finishing 3rd and double clear in arena eventing in his first outing of the year, with more entries booked in.

He has three smart paces and a neat, scopey jump, comfortably trained over 1m–1.10m+. He is brave and genuine cross country — ditches, steps, water, combinations etc.

Goose hacks alone and in company and is good to shoe, clip, load and handle. He’s easy to have on the yard and has the most loving personality — he truly is a special horse.

He would make a fantastic and competitive BE grassroots contender (sadly I’m now overqualified), and I can absolutely see him flying round Badminton Grassroots one day! He would also suit a keen riding club home wanting a smart, competitive all-rounder.

Although he has been ridden and competed lightly by amateurs, I am looking for a competent, knowledgeable and experienced home. Goose is a sensitive, intelligent horse who thrives with a confident rider and a positive ride. He is genuine and never malicious, but goes best with someone who enjoys building a partnership with their horse.

He has previous medical history which will be fully disclosed. It has been fully investigated and treated, with no ongoing management or treatment required, and he has had a clean bill of health since early 2023 with many competitions completed successfully since.

I know this horse inside and out, and full transparency is hugely important to me. His history and occasionally sensitive nature is reflected in his price — but most importantly, I simply want him in the very best home. He means a great deal to me and deserves nothing less.

He is fit and ready to continue the 2026 season, and progress through the levels.

Imported from Ireland as a just-backed rising 5yo and produced for eventing. This mare is incredibly bold, brave, scopey - steps, water, ditches and technical questions never faze her. She progressed from unaffiliated 90cm to 100cm in her first eventing season and clearly relishes having a job. Comfortably schools over 1m10 at home. With the right rider, I think she has the potential for 2*.

She travels well, behaves impeccably at events, and thrives in a competitive environment.

In the interest of complete honesty, this mare is not a novice ride. She is extremely buzzy and likes to get on with the job. Not nasty, but she would suit very few children coming off ponies.

• She is not content with being picked up and put down. She needs a job and to be treated as a competition horse.

• I hack her alone, but she can nap and she has gone up with me. I’ve always worked her through it, but I want to be totally upfront so I can find her the perfect match. In company she’s a different horse.

I purchased her to hunt and team chase, but feel she is better suited to eventing or showjumping. With the right partner, she has the talent to be a very competitive competition horse. She a typical mare - incredibly clever and will get you out of trouble. Has a ‘fifth leg’ that gives you confidence.

 Travels and behaves well at competitions - we always travel solo and she's well used to having to stand by herself on the lorry while I walk the course

 Previously very nervous of clipping but now clips without sedation or twitch (she just needed time and confidence here).

 Likes to have company in the field (we pop her out with a Shetland)
