Ringo is an exceptionally special young horse who combines genuine quality, ability and an impressive competition record with one of the kindest and most straightforward temperaments you could wish for.
Although Ringo has all the quality and ability to be a serious competition horse, his biggest attribute is just how easy and enjoyable he is.
He was the highest-scoring five-year-old at the Tullylish Young Event Horse qualifier and was also placed sixth in the Five-Year-Old Burghley Young Event Horse class at the Tattersalls Ireland July Show.
He is exceptionally straightforward to ride, naturally light in both the hand and off the leg, and gives his rider a lovely, responsive and uncomplicated feel. He does not need to be constantly kicked along, but is equally not sharp, strong or difficult. He is the type of horse who makes everything feel easy.
Ringo has jumped a wide variety of show jumps and cross-country fences and is exceptionally brave and genuine. He always tries to help his rider, approaches his fences confidently and never wants to say no. He has the ability to be competitive while remaining forgiving and enjoyable for an amateur rider.
He is good in traffic and sensible when ridden away from the arena. Despite being only five, he has a wonderfully mature, level-headed outlook and takes new situations in his stride.
On the ground, Ringo is just as lovely. He is extremely friendly, affectionate and very easy to do in every way. He is a complete gentleman to handle, a genuine pleasure to have around the yard and has no known vices.
Ringo would make an outstanding riding club horse or grassroots eventer for someone wanting a quality horse capable of producing competitive results without sacrificing temperament or rideability. Equally, he has the breeding, scope and proven ability to continue progressing through the levels.
It is incredibly rare to find a horse with this much quality and such an impressive young-horse record who is also so kind, willing and uncomplicated. He is honestly as close to the perfect horse as we have ever had, and someone will be extremely lucky to own him.
