Luca is a striking palomino PRE Fusion gelding with a kind heart and a genuine desire to please.

Recently imported from Spain, where he has been used for hacking, trekking and attending feiras, he has settled well into UK life.

He is schooling at prelim level at home, showing a willing, honest attitude and a real desire to try. While not over-produced, Luca gives his all in everything asked of him and has also popped a jump with us, proving happy to turn his hoof to a variety of activities.

Luca is a non-spooky, sensible ride and a safe sort, but he is a sensitive soul in the way many Iberian horses are. He is sweet, responsive and forms a close bond with his person, so will thrive with a quiet, understanding rider who appreciates a softer type.

On the ground, he is straightforward and well-mannered:

Up to date with teeth, vaccinations and physio

Luca is happiest living out with companions and does not enjoy being isolated. When stabled, he can weave at feed time or if left in for long periods, so a home that offers turnout, routine and company is essential. In the right environment, this is easily managed and does not affect him under saddle.

This is a genuine, kind horse who would suit someone looking for a safe, enjoyable partner for hacking, low-level dressage and all-round riding, with the right approach to continue his education at his own pace.

Fully Registered PRE Gelding. Friendly, inquisitive chap who adores a fuss and wants to be everyone’s friend.

He has spent the last 8 weeks in a professional yard where he has been beautifully introduced to the saddle and has fast become a yard favourite at the Brookside residence. He has taken every question asked in his stride with an ever consistent, positive attitude.

Never pushed or rushed, been on quiet hacks out to see the world and has proven a bold, forward thinking horse. He has seen busy traffic, cantered in open spaces, been down the canal and rode through water.

He has recently taken a trip to an arena hire where he loaded and travelled beautifully. Happily stood and waited his turn and never put a foot wrong under saddle.

Loose jumped over a fence where he proved bold and genuine, jumped off a bad stride and quickly sorted his feet out.


He is good to handle in all ways, recently had a set of front shoes on, perfect to clip, bath, brush load and travel.

Basil really has a lot of potential, he has been started with his age in mind and been taken very slowly with his future in mind. He could easily make a lovely eventer or dressage horse or equally be someone’s best friend to enjoy a bit of everything with.

Dakota De Avila

Dakota De Avila is a beautiful golden buckskin mare with presence, quality and a temperament to match.

Recently imported from Spain, she has settled beautifully into UK life and is proving herself to be an exciting young horse for the future.

She is green but going well in all three paces and has just started competing at Prelim, showing a willing attitude and plenty of potential for the dressage arena.

Dakota is forward-thinking, intelligent and a lovely mover, with all the ingredients to develop into a very smart dressage horse with the right rider.

On the ground, she is an absolute pleasure — sweet, affectionate and very people-orientated, with a cracking temperament. She is good to hack both alone and in company, loads and travels well, and is easy to handle in daily life.

Dakota would suit a confident, capable rider who can continue her education sympathetically and bring out the best in her.

She is not a novice ride simply due to her age and stage of training, but she is genuine, kind and rewarding.

Romero has a lovely, inquisitive nature and wants to be everyone’s friend! He is a joy to have on the yard.

Romero works beautifully in the school with three correct, attractive paces. He is training towards medium level at home with lateral work and collection a highlight for him. He has started training some half steps and is starting to understand the changes.

He has competed at multiple British Dressage shows including the Regional Championships.

Loves pole work and does a small amount of jumping at home for fun.

Very easy to clip, travel and is very good when he’s out at shows. Good for farrier.

He has all the talent for the higher levels but is also happy to play at the lower levels.

He is spooky to hack so wouldn’t suit a happy hacking home.

He has also been to the beach multiple times.

Would suit a quietly confident rider as he can be spooky and typically Spanish at times but is never nasty. Doesn’t buck/rear/bolt etc.
