A genuinely heartbreaking sale of a much loved horse.

Lordy has been with the same owner since he was 3 years old, having been purchased directly from his breeder. He is a lovely, kind horse, but he is naturally a nervous character and needs someone experienced who can take the time to build his confidence at his own pace.

Because of his nature, Lordy will be sold from the field based on his videos only. He simply won’t cope with lots of different people coming to ride him, and we want to do right by him by finding the right person rather than putting him through endless viewings.

Lordy has been backed and is a pleasure to hack. He is sensible in traffic, well used to farm machinery, and is happy to go first or last. Hacking is where he is most confident and relaxed.

In the arena, he is still very much learning. He doesn’t fully understand what’s being asked of him yet and can occasionally shoot forward for a few strides when he becomes unsure. There is absolutely no malice in him, it’s simply a confidence and understanding issue. He genuinely tries his heart out, and once something clicks with him, he remembers it.

Sadly, Lordy’s owner is more novice and since arriving with us on training livery it has become clear that he isn’t the right horse for a less experienced rider. As difficult as this decision has been, they want to give him the opportunity to reach his full potential with someone who has the knowledge, patience, and time he deserves.

There is so much to like about Lordy. He is a beautiful mover, kind, genuine, and eager to please. He has excellent feet and is barefoot, is up to date with everything, and is a picture of health.

Lordy does have sweet itch, but this is well managed with a fly rug and has never prevented him from enjoying life.

We truly believe Lordy has all the ingredients to become someone’s horse of a lifetime. He just needs that special person willing to invest the time to let him grow into the horse we know he can be.

Earlier in the summer was loving XC and arena hire. 

Been for sale too long so became school sour as lack of shoes and the hard ground meant there was no where else to ride him.

Now greatly reduced due to lack of viewings and quick sale needed. Absolute bargain for the right person.

Lovely big moving, well bred horse who has the potential to excel in any sphere, unfortunately I am now 64 and he is proving just to much for me now. If I was 20 years younger he would be a keeper for sure.

I purchased him in the autumn of last year as a unbroken 4yr old, and backed him myself. He had a short break over the winter to allow him to mature, and has been in work since.

He works nicely in the school and is poping a small course proving to be very carefull.

He has a few baby attitude moments which are easily delt with, but can put in a few exuberant bucks when faced with an excitable situation, nothing nasty just a young sharp horse.

He needs an experienced, younger, sympathetic rider who can take him forward onto his career path. Unfortunately, 60 years of riding have taken a toll on my body, and he his never going to be an older ladies horse sadly. He can pull faces in the stable, but there is no malice in him.

He has no vices, or medical issues and up to date with vaccinations teeth etc. He is open to vetting. No lumps bumps or sarcoids. Priced to sell as he needs to find the right home. Serious enquires only please and phone calls preferred I dont do endless texting.

Roxi is a super sweet little mare, she has fabulous paces and a great jump.

Roxi is fairly low milage in an arena and has spent alot of time hacking and seeing the world, shes brave to hack and will go first or last and is great in trafiic, including farm machinery.

She is a quick learner and is picking up flatwork well, she tries to please and is a lovely horse to work with, she has beautiful paces and a good rhythm and will do a super smart test given a bit more time.

Roxi has recently started jumping and loves it! She's easy to a fence and is super straight with a great technique, shes not phased by fillers and looks for the fence.

Roxi is a forward thinking type and will excel with a job to do. She make a super grassroots type or equally would do very well in workers.

Shes good to deal with, easy to catch, load handle ect.

She does have a couple of small sarcoids, this is reflected in her price.

She has her basics and is ready for someone to continue her education, she will be a super fun horse to produce.
