Sally has been turned away as a field companion for another horse who has now departed. She was backed as a 3 year old and turned away since to mature as she was quite poor.

She has filled out and looks wonderful and ready to come back into work. An amazing friendly genuine horse who loves attention and takes to anything asked of her. The only times she has come in are to have her teeth done, blacksmith and being wormed. On every occasion she has been like any other horse in work. Even the blacksmith wishes all horses in her position were like her temperament wise.

She is being sold from the field as i have no rider. You are welcome to use our facilities and do whatever you want with her here. She is also open to vetting and x rays as i have nothing to hide.

Sally will only be sold to the right loving home, which is what she deserves.

No dealers.

We are based near Eccleshall Staffs.

Womble
16.2hh
Cob
Massive weight carrier
Kind, Calm, Loving Chap

Womble is an impressive 16.2hh weight carrying cob, with a loving temperament and calm disposition. He is easy to handle on the ground and under saddle and is always well mannered.

Womble was purchased at 3 years old, turned out to mature, then professional broken at 3 years 10 months he was then introduced to the riding school setting where he was ridden by staff and competent clientele, he was a quick learner and settled into this very busy environment without any problems, he participated in our group and private lessons, working on the flat, over poles and progressed quickly onto lateral work, small coloured and rustic fences, although still relatively green in the school, he was eager to learn, though new to poles and certain ridden exercises, he approaches each new task with a genuine willingness and calm disposition. He is not spooky, spiny, sharp, strong or reactive—just still developing his understanding. As a blank canvas, he offers the perfect opportunity for an independent rider to guide his progress and help shape his education. With time and consistency, he shows promise in working in a soft outline, he is developing good balance, lateral movement, and responsiveness to aids. He also continued to improve over small fence and log with quiet enthusiasm.

Womble hacks out confidently alone or in company and is entirely unfazed by the most challenging environments. He remains calm when faced with heavy traffic, including buses, tractors, lorries, and large agricultural machinery. He will wait patiently at roundabouts or traffic lights and never reacts with fear or tension. On open ground, he stays composed at all paces, whether leading, following, or riding solo. He never pulls, rushes, or attempts to overtake—even when returning home.

His exceptional manners extend to every aspect of handling. Womble is easy to catch, groom, bath, load, clip, and handle for the vet, dentist, and farrier. He currently lives barefoot but has previously been shod and is comfortable with either. He stands quietly for long periods without any restraint, happily enjoying being groomed and pampered. Children regularly lead and handle him without issue, and he will calmly stand at the mounting block until the rider is comfortably in the saddle.

More recently, he has begun to show a dislike for arena work. I believe this is largely due to the amount of schooling he has been asked to do, with very little variety. As a result, he has become a little stale and reluctant to go forward in the arena, unfortunately we have limited hacking facilities, so arena work is prominently where we ride, as we don’t have access to bridleways—only grass verges alongside roads or extremely busy roads. Initially we felt that focusing on arena schooling would be the best approach however in hindsight a variation would have been more beneficial.

Womble absolutely thrives when hacking out and continues to perform exceptionally well, even in heavy, fast-moving traffic. He takes busy and challenging road environments in his stride and continues to excel in these situations. I feel he would really benefit from a break from arena work. However, as we are a riding school, arena work is our 1st point of call.
Unfortunately Womble is not earning his keep, hence the reduced price.

Womble is a genuine confidence-giver who can be left unridden for weeks or even months and still be safe and consistent when brought back into work. He is incredibly low maintenance. He has never suffered from laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or lameness, and has passed all annual riding school inspections with flying colours (equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting).

He currently lives out at night in a large mixed herd and stabled during the day but is equally content stabled or turned out full time, he is happy to be stabled / turned out solo, he is not clingy at all, he absolutely loves people and attention and adores a cuddle. He is quiet, independent, and never causes trouble in the field or stable. Being sold on behalf of a working livery.

Serious enquiries only. Please call or WhatsApp for more information or to arrange a viewing.

- Based at our Burford centre -

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced home for Nala, ideally with someone confident and experience in handling and producing Thoroughbreds. She is a big, sensitive youngster who will benefit from a calm, patient handler willing to continue building her education from the basics, everything from handling and picking up feet through to developing her groundwork before being backed.

Nala is very much at the early stages of her journey, so we are hoping to find someone who enjoys the process of bringing on a young horse and is happy to take things steadily while she continues to grow in confidence and understanding. With the right person, time and consistency, she has the potential to develop beautifully.

She would be best suited to someone and able to give her the time and routine she currently thrives on, particularly from a rehabilitation and retraining perspective. An ideal home would offer a balanced routine of part stabling and turnout with other horses, where she can continue to settle and progress.

She has done some low level jumping but would excel in environment that would give her some variety and to experience a bit of life

Affectionate mare on the ground, loves people and adores the attention in her stable.

Good to load and travel, stands well for the farrier and great to be clipped

Please note Patsy cribs at feedtime this is reflected in her price, it's a bit irritating but no problem

I have used natural horsemanship techniques with her and she loves it

She's a serious horse, not cuddly, not really keen on being fussed with but is a keen worker and would thrive on lots to do.  But equally happy to laze in the field

She's a TB so can be sharp at times, no problem for a competant rider

Great flatwork, soft mouth responsive and absolutely loves schooling especially polework

Snaffle mouthed always great brakes,  fab canter

There is so much she can do, I hope you can see past the cribbing if you want a really decent horse for small money to do a bit of everything with then please consider Patsy

16hh 11yo Bay Mare – Forever Home Wanted

“Bollie” is an 11-year-old, 16hh bay mare, an ex-racehorse who has been successfully retrained. She competed low level eventing with previous owner.

She had a lovely foal with us last year, proving herself to be an easy and kind broodmare. Unfortunately, she is now unsuitable to have another foal, so we are looking to find her a knowledgeable, loving home where she can have a new career.

Bollie is a genuinely kind, sweet-natured mare who retired sound from racing. She has great feet, correct conformation, and moves well. She has no vices. We believe she has the potential to make a very talented ridden horse with the right person and time invested.

She is being sold as a project from the field, so will need bringing back into work.

Kind temperament
Sound
Good feet & conformation
Lovely mover
Blank canvas for someone experienced

This is a really sad sale, so finding the right home is far more important than price. We are not looking for a large sum, but she must go to a knowledgeable, experienced home.

No novices or time wasters please

Handsome 15hh, 5-year-old cob gelding. Dapple grey, a real eye-catching type with lots of potential in the right hands.

He is backed and riding away, but still green and requires further education. In the school he can nap towards the gate if allowed, but improves with a consistent and confident rider. Out hacking he can be spooky due to lack of mileage and takes reassurance from his rider. He has previously hacked out sensibly and will benefit from someone confident to continue his education.

On the ground he will need a knowledgeable and experienced handler. He has recently been diagnosed with mild, early-stage CPL and mallenders, which are currently being managed with creams, washing, and regular clipping (legs clipped under sedation). He can be sensitive behind and has been known to kick out when handling his hind legs, so requires calm, confident handling. This is reflected in his price, as in the right hands he has the potential to make a lovely ridden horse. I am happy to disclose his full medical history.

He is currently based on a busy livery yard and is well handled day-to-day. He is in a herd of geldings and has previously been turned out in mixed herd.

This is a very sad sale of a much-loved horse, but he is not the right match for me. He would suit an experienced home looking for a rewarding project.

Serious enquiries and experienced homes only. I have lots of photos and videos on request.

About Her

• Kind, gentle, and very easy to handle on the ground

• Turns out happily with mares or geldings

• Knows her job in the school and enjoys having a purpose

• Sold from field

• Currently out of work for the past year due to my circumstances, but she’s the type who comes back into it without much fuss

• Loves her food, thrives on affection, and responds beautifully to kindness

• Solid, strong legs and lovely movement - she always catches the judge’s eye

• Enjoys jumping and has done well competing

Riding & Temperament

She’s a dream in the school, willing and responsive, and knows her job. She is however not a novice ride.

Out hacking, she is anxious, so she needs a confident, calm rider who can offer reassurance without rushing her.

I’ve done a lot of groundwork with her, which she absolutely loves, and it’s helped her confidence grow beautifully.

Good to travel, can be slightly hesitant to load but nothing a few treats doesn’t fix.

I’ve enjoyed doing formation riding and working equitation with her, but she has previously done a one day event, and a few showing jumping and dressage competitions. She enjoys having days out.

What She Needs

This girl deserves a knowledgeable, experienced home where she’ll be understood, supported, and given the consistency she thrives on. The right home is absolutely the priority.

She would suit someone who enjoys schooling, groundwork, and building a real partnership with her.

Looking for a 5 * home where she’ll be truly loved - serious enquiries only.

The right home is most important for this special girl.

Potentially open to LWVTB, but only for the right person.

Homes will be vetted and references required.

No trails. Open to vettings.

Lots of videos and photos for her being ridden on request. I’d love to stay in contact with her.

Red Velvet - Meet ‘Big Red’ - An extremely classy , show stopping 18.1hh, 11yo warmblood mare

No lumps or bumps nor vices
Very well related with talent and class all through the bloodlines on both sides!

Red is a well put together model with everything going for her! There is so much to love about her but I’ll try and keep this as short and sweet as I can.

She is the least chestnut mare I’ve ever met in my whole career. She could easily be a bay gelding! Handled by my 4 year old daughter on a daily. Perfect to shoe, catch, load , travel, bath etc! Easy as can be for any member of the family to see to. She extremely loving and loves nothing more than affection. Will stand statue still all day long to be pampered and loved.

On the flat she is one hell of a head turner. Red has been beautifully produced by her owner and as a result is very push button. Very obedient up and down the transitions. Perfect walk to canter , lateral work , and the trot … well , how can I put that! Let’s just say, that’s one of the most uphill and comfortable trots I’ve ever ridden. So much range and rideablity , you could just ride her around all day long. The type of mare that makes anyone look like they know what they’re doing. Has done very well in unaffiliated dressage test and I feel this is a sphere she would absolutely thrive in. She loves to work and is super easy. A nice leg in each corner type. I fell her potential in this sphere is uncapped

She’s no one discipline wonder … she loves to jump! Very bold and genuine over fillers. Most recently jumping double clear in the 80cm at summerhouse. Again, very easy to a fence and loves the job. Super forgiving if you miss etc. Would certainly go out and do this job also. Does have scope to jump bigger tracks with further production

Hacks out faultlessly!! Alone or in company , no questions asked type. Leads the way or happy to keep back. Bold and brave in the heaviest of traffic and is certainly my ride of choice. Infact, she’s everyone ride of choice which sometimes causes a tiff with the yard girls! Super in open spaces , stands at the mountain block , opens and closes the gates etc

There is a BUT with Red. She is with me on sales livery due to owner loosing a bit of confidence. 95% of the time she is as perfect as perfect gets. However, she has been known on occasion to have a big spook which has knocked some confidence with current owner. This is not something we have seen with her ourselves as of yet but is something she has been known to do. I don’t believe this will phase everyone , she’s been an absolute star here but is something to keep in mind. As a result, we will not sell to anyone novice , nervous or incompetent. This is an extremely difficult , heart wrenching decision for her owner to make. She only wants the very best for her and will absolutely want to stay in touch

Come along and meet her if you think she may be for you! It would be an absolute please to show her off. I’d like to keep her for myself but I think I may send my partner into a seizure if I buy yet another personal horse.

16.2hh | 8 Years Old | Gelding | ISH

Available is a striking and kind-natured gelding with a fantastic attitude toward his work. He is a "lovely boy" in every sense—responsive, sweet-tempered, and showing genuine quality in all three phases.

Key Highlights:
* Education: Progressing beautifully on the flat. He has lovely, rhythmic paces and is currently developing great strength and flexibility.
* Jumping: A superb, rhythmic jumper. He is exceptionally calm to a fence, doesn't "hot up," and remains in a snaffle at all times. He has comfortably jumped 1m+ with a previous owner.
* Temperament: A pleasure to have on the yard. Good to clip, great for the farrier, and loads/travels perfectly.
* Recent Form: attended a Pony Club rally where he was foot-perfect and took everything in his stride. He is good in traffic and with big farm machinery.

The Ideal Home:
While he is a dream in the school and at organised events, he is currently living on a busy working farm and has found the sheep a bit overwhelming. He would be happier in a home where he doesn’t live with sheep.

He is good in traffic and with the farm machinery.

He is anxious when hacking and requires a confident, experienced rider to continue building his own confidence in this area. He doesn’t do anything nasty but gets tense. He can have a spook but this is easily managed, he likes to turn and face the offending object! It is fixable with the right training and consistency.

He has the potential to be a top-tier all-rounder.

Additional Information:
* Health: He lost an eye in a field accident as a youngster; this has never hindered his performance, vision on the other side, or jumping ability. He has never known any different with his ridden career so it does not impact him.
* Suitability: Would suit a capable rider or amateur looking for a quality project, a college, or a competitive riding school, a mother/daughter share with a confident rider to fix the hacking, a riding club home where he can find his potential.
* Reason for Sale: Simply not suited to our specific horsey lifestyle. He deserves a home where he can enjoy his work and reach his full potential.

Price: £ Open to sensible offers for a quick, hassle-free sale to the right home. He will come with his bridle and a few rugs.

Everything up to date.

She is a good doer and has come in to be sold for her owner due to family illness and is very sad not to be able to have the time to produce her having purchased her 3 years ago!! Priced for a quick sale of this quality horse. Full upto date Flu tet feet worms etc well handled but not had time to be properly started till early MArch.
