DJ is a quality 5-year-old 16.3hh Irish Draught mare who has been in the same home since a 2-year-old. She was broken last summer and has spent this season hunting regularly, proving to be a genuine and capable hunter hireling.

She has hunted with Crawley & Horsham, Surrey Union, and the Staff College Drag Hounds, taking everything in her stride. She will happily jump ditches, hedges.

DJ hacks alone and is very sensible in traffic. She is good with farm machinery and livestock and has a calm, level head.

For her age she is schooling nicely on the flat, showing good progress and a willing attitude. She will also pop coloured poles and absolutely loves cross country.

Stands all day to be bathed and groomed and has a kind loving temperament.

No stable vices, loads and travels well.

He has been xc schooling where he is super brave and honest, jumped everything asked of him and behaved extremely well in the open space.

Podge works well in the flat in all three paces. He is always ridden in a snaffle.

Can be mounted for the block, hacks alone or in company and isn’t phased by traffic or farm animals.

Has been ridden by a few different riders including teenagers.

He would be a fantastic summer project for someone wanting something that is kind, has already seen the world and ready to be produced further!

He has a clean vet cert, wormed, teeth done & has been done by the farrier.

Sold from field (although he is stabled). A striking young Thoroughbred with exceptional breeding and a wonderfully kind nature. Purchased by us in October 2023 as a rising three-year-old, he arrived underweight, scarred, and neglected despite his outstanding heritage. With time, patience, and care, he has flourished, ;revealing a curious, willing horse who loves to learn and explore.

He was carefully brought back into work, hacking confidently and learning to jump. He proved to be level-headed and genuine, happily cantering through open and flooded fields, and was a much-loved horse shared with my daughter and a regular loaner. He was ridden consistently until December 2024.

Following a severe bout of mud fever that caused temporary discomfort/lameness, and an unrelated serious fall of my own, my daughter no longer feels confident riding him. He has since been moved to a five-star 24/7 livery, where he receives regular professional training, physiotherapy, and farrier care. He is currently appears sound. I have extensive recent videos of his training.

He’s s a big puppy at heart. Like any six-year-old Thoroughbred, he has moments, but he is being wasted without a consistent rider. He thrives on hacking and jumping and would suit someone looking to develop a quality young horse from the beginning. He is a true blank canvas, and with his breeding, a rare and exciting opportunity. He can go with his saddle, bridle, full wardrobe of rugs, and all his belongings, by negotiation. A much-loved, well-bred 16.2hh British Warmblood gelding who is on the lookout for his special person to continue his story.

He is a genuine, low mileage (14 year old) with plenty left in the tank and a huge amount of untapped potential. Due to life getting in the way (never his fault), he is now ready for a consistent, confident partner who can give him the direction and routine he thrives on.

The Important Bits
* Lovely, expressive three correct paces.
* Schooled on the flat and shows real quality for dressage.
* Hacks happily in company.
* Previously enjoyed beach rides, forest fun rides and weekends away in company.
* Good to handle and polite for the vet, farrier, physio etc.

When he was younger, he was introduced to jumping but politely and firmly informed us that leaving the ground is not his preferred life choice. He would therefore not suit a jumping or eventing home (he is very much a keep all four feet safely on the floor type).

His Quirks (Because Nobody's Perfect And We Want To Be Honest)
He is a sensitive soul who takes confidence from his rider.
Very occasionally (if he questions something), he can challenge you with a drop of the shoulder and a spin.
He does not need a highly technical rider but he does need a calm, clear leader. The sort who quietly says, No, that's not happening, and means it.
He thrives on routine, consistency and clear direction. Sporadic work doesn't bring out his best.
He remains firmly uninterested in showjumping fame.
He does not like to hack alone (The monsters will come for him).

In short: he isn't looking for the most advanced rider, he's looking for someone confident, fair and decisive. In the right hands he is hugely rewarding, affectionate and full of quality.

Home is Everything
He must go to a knowledgeable, loving 5* home where he will be kept in regular work and cherished. This is far more important than price.
