Looking for his forever home after retiring from racing.
I’ve had Lux for the past six months, giving him plenty of time to relax, adjust to life after racing, and simply enjoy being a horse. He is a genuinely kind-natured, affectionate horse with a lovely temperament and a huge amount of potential.
His flatwork is progressing well, and he hacks confidently both alone and in company. As a big, powerful horse, he can be strong at times, so he is best suited to an experienced rider who will continue his education and bring out the best in him. There is absolutely no badness in him, and in the right hands he will thrive.
I haven’t done a great deal of jumping with him. To be completely honest, jumping wasn’t his strongest attribute as a racehorse, and he can be a little careless over poles, so anyone looking to produce him for showjumping should expect to put time and training into developing his technique.
Lux is clean, sound, has no vices, and is a pleasure to have around. He is a lovely, powerful ride with plenty to offer, and finding him a knowledgeable, loving home is my absolute priority.
