Larry is a very loving 9 year old 16:2 Selle Francais gelding who I have had since June 2022. Unfortunately he has developed some back problems which, after extensive veterinary investigations and rehab, means he can no longer be ridden.

Otherwise he is well and happy in himself, and currently at a rehab yard in Hampshire. We do not have our own land and therefore I need to find him a permanent home where he will be loved.

He was extremely attached to my husband’s horse and definitely prefers close relationships with the people around him, so I think he would make an ideal companion horse. I

f you think you could offer him a home please get in touch.

Broma arrived into our care after his owner couldn’t care for him any longer due to personal circumstances, they decided he was best placed with Blue Cross to secure his future.

If you’re looking for a handsome horse who is always the first to greet you in the field and adores a good scratch on his neck, Broma could be the perfect addition to your family!

He adores attention and fuss, though due to his history, Broma would benefit from a handler who has experience with bigger horses to ensure he continues his journey to becoming a well rounded companion.

Broma would benefit from being able to live out as much as possible as he has some worries around stabling. This is due to a negative association to stables and veterinary treatments which, with time, patience and gentle reassurance he may overcome once settled into a new home.

Broma can live with mares or geldings. He has bags of love to give to his handlers and always tried his hardest to please. He will be best suited to a quiet environment.

  • Can you offer Rana a loving home?

Rana arrived into our care after being in another rescue before coming to Blue Cross to secure a new home. Rana is looking for a non-ridden companion home only.

Rana is a sweet mare who is greatly improving with their current training needs, they very much enjoy a groom and feet are a work in progress. They enjoy coming down to the yard and spending some time with the team, they are a real character who is rewarding to work with.

Rana is looking for a quiet environment where her training can be continued and she has equine company at all times. Rana can live with mares and geldings.

Rana would love a home with a kind and sympathetic borrower who has time and patience that’s happy to work on their training needs.
