- Based at a foster yard in Leicestershire -

Sammie came into our care from the RSPCA in August and has been an absolute sweetheart since arriving. This lovely gelding is looking for a non-ridden companion home where he can continue to enjoy life in a calm and caring environment.

Sammie is currently living happily with other geldings and settles well in a small herd. He is able to stay alone for short periods, making him an ideal companion for a ridden horse.

He’s a good doer, so will need restricted or sparse grazing to help him stay in good shape. Sammie can live out all year round with appropriate shelter, or he’s just as happy being part-stabled.

This sweet pony is coming along beautifully with his handling. He would benefit from a confident, kind handler who can continue to build his confidence and guide him through his education.

- Based at our Burford Centre -

Falcon is a handsome young gelding who came to us from another charity. He currently lives out 24/7 with another youngster and has settled well into herd life. Due to veterinary reasons he seeks a companion only home. He will thrive in a home enjoying in-hand walking, groundwork, and fun agility activities.

Falcon is good to catch and enjoys being groomed. He’s learning to lead, he can still be a little babyish at times, and is improving with consistent handling. He is currently undergoing training for picking out his feet; he’s more confident with his fronts than his hinds.

He has limited experience with stabling so far, as he’s mostly lived out. Falcon is a bright, friendly youngster who will benefit from a patient and experienced handler to continue his education in-hand.

He would make a wonderful companion for another horse and will flourish in a kind, understanding home that can give him the time and stability he needs.

BONDED PAIR

Sunshine and Dinky are a wonderful pair of geldings looking for a loving home together. Sunshine is a charming Welsh pony, and Dinky is a delightful little Shetland. The two have formed a close bond and would love a home where they are the only ponies in the home.

Dinky was late to be castrated, so their introductions were done carefully, and they’ve since become the best of friends. They’re now settled, happy, and inseparable. Both ponies are very easy to handle in all aspects – kind, polite, and a pleasure to have around.

Sunshine and Dinky would make perfect family ponies or lovely companions. They’re gentle, well-mannered, and full of character, bringing smiles to everyone who meets them. They deserve a home where they can stay together and continue their friendship in comfort and care.

Blue Cross Blanche

  • Mare
  • 21 years

  • Easy to handle

  • Lovely companion pony
- Based at a foster yard in Leicestershire -

Blanche is a gentle and affectionate mare. She is ready to find a new family who can give her the time, care, and companionship she truly deserves.

Blanche is currently living happily in a small mare herd and gets along well with her equine companions. She would make a wonderful non-ridden companion pony, and we believe she will really thrive with one-to-one attention. She is generally easy to handle, good to lead, groom, have her feet picked up, and see the vet. While a little cautious of new people at first, she quickly builds trust and becomes a sweetheart once she knows you.

She has some ongoing training needs, particularly around clipping and managing her feathered legs, but with patience and consistent care, she continues to make great progress.

As an older mare, Blanche is looking for a kind and understanding home where she can enjoy her days as a cherished companion. If you are looking for a sweet, steady companion who will bring plenty of love and character into your yard, Blanche could be the perfect addition to your herd.
