A lovely, registered Shire mare looking for her next home.

Standing at 17.2hh, she is a true weight-carrying type with a fantastic attitude out hacking. She happily hacks alone or in company and will go for hours through woodlands, country lanes and on the roads. Nothing seems to faze her, and she is good in traffic, making her a confidence-giving ride for those wanting a sensible hack.

She is ridden in a snaffle and has good brakes. She is not overly sensitive to either the leg or hand, making her forgiving and comfortable for a less-than-perfect rider.

Having mainly been used for hacking, she is still green in the school and would benefit from further education in the arena should you wish to go down that avenue. At just 5 years old, she has plenty of time and potential for someone wanting to put their own stamp on her.

Good to catch, turnout, and with the farrier. Barefoot with strong, healthy feet. Turns out happily with both mares and geldings.

She can occasionally be a typical mare in the stable and may pull a face from time to time, but this is easily managed and does not affect her ridden work.

She is currently building condition and has already improved significantly whilst in our care.

A lovely, reliable hacking partner would suit someone looking for a safe, sensible horse to enjoy miles of riding on.

A very handsome gelding aged 13, standing at 15H.

Has mostly been hacked around farm and countryside, alone and in company. Can ride and lead, and has been taken to arenas, pony camp and has had a go at cross country jumps and show jumping (not competitively). Loves his water play!

Relatively inexperienced in wider activities due to late backing, so needs a quiet knowledgeable home with lots of love and patience due to an anxious nature and requires a calm, confident rider, not a novice or beginner. Currently ridden by a 15 year old.

Good to handle and currently lives with a young mare. Good to groom, clip, fuss and cuddle but can be sensitive around his ears.

Would enjoy a quiet hacking life but open to new experiences, looking for a fun time. Comes with fully fitted tack.

It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for a special new home for my much-loved 16.2hh, 13-year-old Sports Horse gelding, based in Warwickshire.

After a successful eventing career, he is now looking to step down from competition and enjoy a quieter life as a hacking horse. He has plenty to offer someone wanting a genuine, kind horse to enjoy hacking and low-key riding.

He has a lovely temperament, is a pleasure to have on the yard, and enjoys getting out and about. He would suit a knowledgeable rider looking for a quality horse to cherish rather than compete.

Finding the right home is my absolute priority. This is a very difficult decision, so a kind, experienced 5* home is essential. He deserves someone who will love him as much as I do and give him the quieter lifestyle he now needs.

Striking, unspooky and very easy, friendly 15.1hh black cob mare (born October 2020) with significant presence who has been out and about locally and on fun rides - ridden by all ages (64-12).

She has the potential to do a lot more in the right hands. She has been gently hacked out over the last 2 years and is reliable, sensible and safe. Owner is now looking to retire from riding and wants to see her fully optimised as the SWEET horse she IS and the OUTSTANDING family horse she can become.


This little horse moves nicely and is happy to pop a log and is happy with trotting poles and cross poles but has had no formal programme of schooling. She is responsive and quick to learn. She can be hacked on the buckle end, is totally chilled in open spaces, never takes hold and is more whoa than go-go-go. She would be brilliant as a loving family horse and happy hacker with the potential to do low level dressage/ showing/xc .

We live on country lanes and she is good with the local traffic and farm machinery. Her field is in the heart of a pheasant shoot & the guns do not worry her at all. I have never even noticed when she is in season - totally unmareish.


She is ready for a loving owner who will be consistent and who wants to teach her and/or learn with her. (Please note however that due solely to her age and size and my desire to see her progress she will NOT be sold to a total novice or unconfident rider/handler). She is bright and highly teachable - as such she will quickly become “that horse” that many riders want. I have not given her the consistency or next step of schooling and life experience she now is ready for. I would like to see her being brought on and taken out and about intelligently and kindly with a view to being her owner’s “life horse”. She has had a great and happy start here with groundwork, hacking and slow, steady and kind life experience. She is snaffle mouthed.


She has been clipped the last two winters. Barefoot with good hard feet although she was shod when I got her two years ago. She is good to load and easy to handle. She lives in or out – solo or company & is a good doer. (She has been predominantly with mares although her first summer here she shared a field with a gelding and was fine.) She respects electric fencing and does not eat the wood on post and rail fencing. She is unfazed being left on her own in the stable or when her friends leave her from the field and is always pleased to see you when you come to the gate either to say hello or take her in for a groom/ride. Never been sick or sorry.
