We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, I like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.

There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.

Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.

Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.

You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.

She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.

She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.

If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.

She needs her own person, but if you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.

She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.

She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).

Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc

We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.

The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.

She has a Kent & Masters saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss

Oakfield Edna 🖤🤍

Edna is a beautiful 12-year-old piebald Gypsy Cob mare, standing at approximately 14.1hh.

A true homebred, Edna has been with us since she was a foal, born here on the farm and has been a much-loved and trusted member of our trekking centre team ever since. She is a kind, genuine mare with a lovely temperament and has looked after riders of all abilities throughout her life.

Edna is true to type, good to catch, shoe, load, bath and happily lives in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.

She is the ultimate confidence-giver, taking both complete beginners and experienced riders safely out on the trails. She is excellent in traffic, around farm machinery and livestock, and is completely at home on the wide open Welsh hills.

Edna likes to take life in her own pace but happily steps up when asked. She has done some light schooling but has mainly been used for hacking. She is the type that you can not ride for 6 months, hop back on and it feels like she never had a day off.

Edna would be perfectly suited to a happy hacking home where she can continue to enjoy exploring the countryside on hacks, days out & fun rides with a kind and caring owner. Edna does hack out alone but is used to going out in a group day to day.

Edna has some fantastic breeding, along with some lovely paces, she would be an asset to any breeding programme or anyone looking to hit the show ring.

Edna is a real gem & a type hard to find, this is a reluctant sale due to closure of our trekking centre and reduction in stock. We are looking for the very best home where she can enjoy the next chapter of her life.

⭐ Genuine enquiries only – the best home is our priority for this very special mare.

16.1 bay gelding, showjumper most of his life, 50 points off being a grade A.

Looking for a quieter life (not that he thinks so) for someone to hack/ funrides/ schooling with a bit of jumping.

He still loves to jump but does need an experienced rider who can see a stride, pops around 1m/1.05 at home with ease but I wouldn’t want him to compete more than 90cm this is about his max and it’s not big enough for me anymore.

He is a saint out hacking and he really enjoys it. He has been a lead horse for our riding school hacks and Iv even had my pony club children hack him.

Iv owned him for 3 years, he’s won multiple classes, rugs etc.

He has had sinusitis operations last year which has been all he’s had wrong with him through his life (I know the girl who bred him) he never had a day off except to heal from the op. Willing to talk to anyone about this if you’re interested in him.

He is a forward horse, ridden in a snaffle at all times, doesn't change whether you ride him once a week or once a month.

Home more important than price

5yo gelding, approx. 16hh by Usher Van Overis Z

I can’t overstate what a darling Chester is. He could be a once-in-a-lifetime horse for so many people. He gets on with every horse and person he meets and I’ve never seen him put an ear back. He has the friendliest, most loving temperament and the first to see him will buy him.

Pictures don't do him justice and he's much chunkier than he looks in photos. He's got decent bone and is starting to fill out nicely now. He lacks mileage having been backed at 4 and turned away to mature and has only started to be ridden properly this Summer. Despite this he has proved straightforward and honest in everything he does. He stands to be mounted, is naturally forward going and has all the basics with no bad habits.

He happily hacks alone and in company. He still needs to build more confidence through experience and occasionally appreciates some reassurance when hacking on his own, but he always tries his absolute best, even when unsure. He is never nappy or silly, even in open spaces.

A gentleman on the ground. He is happy being in or out, and has no vices. He’s good to catch, tie up, bath, and have trimmed by the farrier. He always comments how solid his feet are and he's currently barefoot. He loads well and, although a little nervous when travelling (usually just a bit sweaty and shaky), he is always willing and I have no doubt this will continue to improve with experience.

Priced and advertised as a happy hacker due to previous medical history, which means he would be best suited to a hacking, fun ride and general low level all rounder home. It requires no ongoing management and which I am happy to discuss openly with serious buyers. He’s also got some small lumps on his underside (nowhere near girth area.) I’m not sure if they’re bites as they seem to be where his fly rug doesn’t cover him, but wanted to disclose.

He’s been exceptionally well cared for and loved, and is up to date with vaccinations, farrier, worm counts, and will have his teeth done before he leaves. This is a reluctant sale with tears writing this ad. No dealers and no complete novices or nervous riders, as he’s very green still.

16hh bay TB 11yo mare.

Has previously raced, then been a broodmare. Producing 2 offspring that have both gone on to race on the flat.

Since then has been owned by a girl for the last 3 years. Mainly for hacking/ fun rides, going off road, and riding at home in school.

She is a well put together horse with a super temperament. Very easy to do in the ground.

Excellent in traffic, shoe, catch, etc.

She is a typical TB to ride, forward going, keen, but not spooky or nappy/naughty.

Could be put back in foal, would breed a super eventer or PC allrounder if put to a Connemara, or a WB.

Bella 🤍🤎 the ultimate dream horse for a nervous amateur looking for a SAFE hacking and riding club partner

Bella is a 15h, 4yo skewbald Irish cob mare with a phenomenal, quiet character no matter what situation we put her in! She’s led wild horses down the road, given nervous horses a lead over new jumps, ridden bareback, sidesaddle, even in open fields.

She is fantastic with tractors, machinery, traffic, cows, and enjoys hacking alone or in groups

She is excellent for group riding lessons, brave and forgiving to ride. She is never strong, bold, or spooky and happily jumps 70-80cm courses.

She is not mareish in any way, and very gentle to handle. Easy to shoe, load, tie, catch, plait, wash, etc.

She is a kick ride, and we think best suited to a rider who prefers a horse that is ‘more woah than go’

She has no vices, lumps or bumps and is open to any vetting.

Price includes delivery to UK, exchange if you’re not happy
