🌟 Goldie 🌟 15hh | 10-year-old Cob Mare | Ridden & Drive Trained

💛 £6,500 ono – Priced to sell due to a change in circumstances.

Goldie is a genuine, kind mare I’ve owned and produced over the last 4 years. She’s been my first pony and this is an incredibly difficult sale, so finding her the right home is my priority.

❤️ What she’s done:

✅ Lovely on the flat with a soft outline and balanced paces.

✅ Enjoys pole work and is careful with her feet.

✅ Fantastic to hack alone or in company – happy for miles, good in traffic and sensible with all types of vehicles.

✅ Ridden by children and beginners.

✅ Has taken part in charity/special needs rides and always looked after her riders.

✅ Ridden and drive trained.

🦄 Jumping

Goldie has competed successfully at unaffiliated shows up to 80cm, regularly placing in the top three. While she has previously enjoyed jumping, she now seems much happier with hacking, schooling and pole work, so I’m looking for a home that enjoys those activities rather than a competition career.

🏡 Home

Goldie is a loving mare with plenty of personality. When she gets excited she can occasionally offer a small buck or rear, so she isn’t suitable as a first horse for a novice rider. With a confident, sympathetic rider she’s a pleasure to own.

✔ Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, physio and saddle checks.

⭐ 5⭐ home is an absolute must for this special girl.

Oakfield Edna 🖤🤍

Edna is a beautiful 12-year-old piebald Gypsy Cob mare, standing at approximately 14.1hh.

A true homebred, Edna has been with us since she was a foal, born here on the farm and has been a much-loved and trusted member of our trekking centre team ever since. She is a kind, genuine mare with a lovely temperament and has looked after riders of all abilities throughout her life.

Edna is true to type, good to catch, shoe, load, bath and happily lives in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.

She is the ultimate confidence-giver, taking both complete beginners and experienced riders safely out on the trails. She is excellent in traffic, around farm machinery and livestock, and is completely at home on the wide open Welsh hills.

Edna likes to take life in her own pace but happily steps up when asked. She has done some light schooling but has mainly been used for hacking. She is the type that you can not ride for 6 months, hop back on and it feels like she never had a day off.

Edna would be perfectly suited to a happy hacking home where she can continue to enjoy exploring the countryside on hacks, days out & fun rides with a kind and caring owner. Edna does hack out alone but is used to going out in a group day to day.

Edna has some fantastic breeding, along with some lovely paces, she would be an asset to any breeding programme or anyone looking to hit the show ring.

Edna is a real gem & a type hard to find, this is a reluctant sale due to closure of our trekking centre and reduction in stock. We are looking for the very best home where she can enjoy the next chapter of her life.

⭐ Genuine enquiries only – the best home is our priority for this very special mare.

Rufus – 17hh Pure Irish Draught Gelding

This is, without doubt, the hardest advert I have ever had to write.

I have owned Rufus for the past eight years and the only reason he is looking for a new home is that, after 48 years of owning horses, I have made the heartbreaking decision to give up due to the demands of my new job.

Rufus is a stunning 17hh pure Irish Draught with the kindest nature. He is an absolute pleasure to hack and has taken me on countless adventures over the years. He hacks happily alone or in company, is brilliant at the beach, and will lead or happily sit at the back. He loads and travels beautifully in a lorry, is easy to handle, and is incredibly low maintenance. He lives on chaff with a small amount of mix, is a good doer and is generally an uncomplicated horse to have around.

Under saddle, he is safe as houses. He is a big, powerful horse and can take a hold in canter, so he needs a confident, balanced rider who enjoys riding a substantial horse rather than someone looking for a kick-along. He hasn't been in a school for years as i don't have facilities, but he loves jumping, so sponsored rides are great fun.

Because I want to find him the right home, I also want to be completely honest. Something happened to Rufus before I owned him which, sadly, left him with some psychological baggage. I don't know what it was, but it has affected him. As part of our routine, I always give him a small scoop of feed when getting on, which settles him. Around seven years ago he bolted with me on two occasions. He has never done it since. He can still occasionally feel a little tense when you first get on, but this quickly disappears as he relaxes, and the more consistently he is ridden, the less noticeable it becomes. Nowadays he rarely does it at all, but it would be unfair of me not to mention it.

I am not looking for a quick sale. Rufus deserves a knowledgeable, kind and understanding home where someone will enjoy everything he has to offer and appreciate him for the wonderful horse he is. He owes me nothing, and I owe it to him to make sure this is his forever home.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale, so please, no time wasters or dealers. If you think you could offer Rufus the loving, permanent home he deserves, I would be delighted to answer any questions and tell you more about him.

5yo gelding, approx. 16hh by Usher Van Overis Z

I can’t overstate what a darling Chester is. He gets on with every horse and person he meets and has the friendliest, loving temperament.

Lacks mileage as he was backed at 4 and then turned away to mature, so has only started his proper ridden education this summer. He’s got decent bone and is starting to fill out nicely now.

An absolute gent on the ground. Happy being in or out. No vices. Good to catch, tie up, bath and trim. He has very good feet and is currently barefoot.

Hacks alone and in company. He’s confident hacking on his own on the lanes but would benefit from company a bit longer in busier environments. We’ve just started going out in the trailer to hack away from home and he hasn’t put a foot wrong.

Due to vet history, he would be happiest in a hacking, fun ride and general low level all-rounder home. It requires no ongoing management, and I can openly share more information on this. He also has some small bumps on his underside but they are nowhere near tack.

Please, no dealers, novices or nervous riders, as although he’s 5, he’s green.

After owning horses all my life I sadly lost my lovely Warmblood (see photos) at the end of last year. I am now looking for a loan horse to keep at current DIY livery yard with direct access to Bedgebury Forest - Miles of off road riding, small school, individual large field, stable etc. Friendly yard.

I am open to a loan, part loan (to keep at current yard or locally) or a loan with a view to buy for the perfect four legged partner.

15hh+ and must be a super safe bombproof hacker and happy to ride out alone. My daughter is also an experienced rider having competed in low level SJ for many years, and (subject to horse and arrangement in place) would be interested in schooling and clinics etc.

Open to ideas, can provide lots of references. A very loving and pampered 5* home awaits!

Delilah is a lovely-natured mare with a kind temperament and endless stamina. She's the sort of horse that loves having a job and thrives when she's out exploring rather than simply going through the motions in the school.

An Appaloosa with no breeding recorded on her sire's side, Delilah has an athletic way of going and, judging by her movement, may have some trotter or pacer influence.

She works well in the arena, but this is not where she truly shines. Delilah absolutely loves hacking, cross-country, beach rides and open spaces, and would likely make a fantastic endurance prospect. She is safe and sensible while out.

While she’s happiest out, she is not a kick-along happy hacker. Delilah is sensible, safe, forward-thinking and enjoys getting on with the job, so she would best suit a confident teenager or young adult who wants a genuine fun ride. She would happily turn her hoof to low-level jumping, riding club activities and local competitions.

Delilah is:

• Good for the farrier.

• Up to date with the dentist.

• Easy to catch and handle.

• A pleasure to have around the yard.

When Delilah first arrived with us, she was reluctant to load. We've invested plenty of time and patience into her, and she now loads confidently and without fuss.

Delilah is a fantastic mare with bags of potential. We feel she will truly flourish in a one-to-one home where she can build a strong partnership with her rider.

If you're looking for a fun, genuine horse who loves an adventure and has plenty more to give, Delilah could be your perfect match.

We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, I like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.

There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.

Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.

Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.

You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.

She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.

She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.

If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.

She needs her own person, but if you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.

She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.

She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).

Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc

We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.

The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.

She has a Kent & Masters saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss
