Maverick is a kind, genuine TB who was unfortunately mis-sold to me as a novice first horse. He is not suitable for a novice or nervous rider. He needs a confident, experienced handler who understands sensitive ex-racehorses and can offer him consistency, reassurance and clear boundaries.

He raced once in 2021 and has since been used for schooling, hacking (in company) and light jumping & dressage with a previous owner.

Up to date with physio, dentist, vaccinations, farrier and recent saddle fitting.

All rugs included.

Positives:

Lovely natured, enjoys fuss and attention

Easy to catch, clip

3 correct, rhythmical paces

Schools very well with an experienced rider

Goes nicely in the arena alone as long as he can still see or hear horses nearby

Has done dressage, hacking in company, and jumped previously.

No lumps or sacroids or health issues.

Good with mares or geldings, the Mares love him! Can be turned out individually or with herd.

Loads onto the trailer or lorry, still prefers another horse for travelling

What he needs (honest but fair):

Hacks in company only (not suitable for solo hacking)

Sensitive, intelligent and thrives on routine

Can have the odd TB spook – needs a rider who stays calm and confident

Very herd-orientated and happiest on a busier yard where he doesn’t feel isolated

Needs an experienced, confident rider who enjoys bringing on a sensitive horse

Ideal home:

A busy, experienced yard with:

Horses close by for security

Someone confident with ex-racers or sensitive TBs

A rider who enjoys a thoughtful, kind, but forward and sensitive horse.

He doesn't bite, kick and have never reared or bucked with me on him.

He has improved massively since I’ve owned him, and with a confident, consistent rider he has the potential to continue progressing. He thrives with clear boundaries, routine and reassurance.

Smurf is an absolute dude. Having been in his current home for 6yrs, he has been placed at several unaffiliated events before enjoying 3 seasons of BE80, placed top 10 several times, highest placing was 3rd on a 27.5 dressage.

Qualified & completed 3 of the regional championships and this year completed the be80 national championships at Chillington. Done all riding club teams, arena eventing and dressage with many placings.

This horse is absolutely brilliant in traffic and has regularly had a 9yo enjoy him after Mummy has ridden!

Very sad sale, good loving home essential.

Price is negotiable and includes a full wardrobe.

A wonderful opportunity to purchase a striking thoroughbred, bred in the purple, who has previously raced successfully and now eligible for ROR Classes.

Wilbur is very keen and eager to jump whatever he is pointed at making him suitable for a confident and competent rider who enjoys a forward ride!

He is a homebred so full history known, he is completely unblemished and a good home is off the utmost importance!

Jack The Farmer’ - stunning 16.1hh , 9yo, TB gelding

Jack is the ultimate sweetheart of our yard. Extremely kind in all ways and loves to be around people. Loads and travels well, perfect to catch, easy to bath , stands for farrier etc - a genuinely lovely little horse to own

Jack looked to be a promising horse while in training with a win over hurdles and 4 NHF runs. However Jack had a little time out for common injury and just didn’t come back the same. It was estimated if they were to run him again he would not sustain soundness and so thought better of the horse and retired him from racing. He has had plenty of downtime and is ready now for new pastures. We have ridden Jack lightly with us out hacking and in the school a small number of times.

He has been golden under saddle. Works beautifully in the school - put some of my warmbloods to shame! To hack , he’s very bold and reliable. I find him a very comfortable sit and go kind of ride. Forward as you’d expect but very sane. I think he’d really enjoy a pleasure horse type of home where there is no pressure just pure love and enjoyment

He’s priced cheaply and cheerful due to not being in full work , having some down time and just wanting the right home for him.

Happy to chat more with serious enquiries - he’s a smashing chap. No vices , lumps , bumps etc. Fat , shiny and looking superb!!

Draft pick. A outstanding example of a TB. Dark bay 16.2HH 12yo gelding. Dick has been retired from racing a while now and is completely retrained as a allrounder. He is beautifully schooled, moves and floats across the ground effortlessly.

He has done multiple dressage competitions, showjumping competitions, rallies, pole lessons, cross country and hunter trails, beach rides and hunting. There isn’t anything he won’t do.

Solid as a rock to hack alone or in company, been ridden down busy A roads, country lanes, big open fields and you can lead your child on their pony off of him! He is incredibly easy to do anything with, shoe box catch clip travel etc. His temperament is great and he really is one of the best put together TBs on the market.

He is eligible for ROR classes and without a doubt would be hard to beat! He would suit anyone who is capable and experienced, he has been ridden lots by a 14yo girl. Would suit any type of home from hacking to hunting and everything inbetween.

A real yard favourite. He does windsuck, very mild and only at feed time. If this slightly puts you off, don’t enquire about him.
