He has hunted in Dorset and Gloucestershire, and loves jumping.

I’m on the lookout for a fun but safe set of hooves, ideally fitting the following criteria:
• 148-158cm
• gelding
• under 15 years (this is non-negotiable)
• must travel on a trailer
• must hack alone and in company without major quirks inc. napping and bucking
• must be a nice person to handle, no kickers
• horses with veterinary history considered with full disclosure, but no rehab projects
• bonus if they already know how to ride and lead (I have small children)
• something that doesn’t need riding every day and wouldn’t mind a break of up to a week between riding when necessary (I’m a nurse and work shifts)
• able to turnout in a mixed herd (1 other gelding and 1 mare, next to another mixed herd of 3)

In return I can offer:
• experienced (lifelong pony/horse owner) home
• daily turnout come rain or snow
• reasonably competent riding! I’ve previously competed at BE Novice and done lots of BD but have ridden very little in past 18 months
• I have a soft spot for thoroughbreds, but would prefer them to have some life experience outside of racing
• ideally I’d like to do some BD, some low level jumping clinics (90 ish) and lots of hacking. If I haven’t lost my nerve then maybe some low-level BS and BE
• I’m 5’3” and pretty consistently about 55-56kgs so ponies are welcome
• my horses are looked after to very high standards and want for nothing

Ren is a beautiful 7-year-old chestnut mare, retired from racing in February 2024 and carefully retrained since. Having previously ridden her as a work rider, I brought her home to give her the time and education for a new career.

Monty is a smart well bred 16.1 , 16 year old ex event horse looking for a new best friend to enjoy low level RC Dressage and Hacking .

Monty is a well schooled /educated relaxed chappie but due to some medical issues that will be FULLY disclosed he would suit someone experienced and balanced wanting to have a quieter life not jumping and not someone wanting to be out every weekend competing.

Monty will produce a super test and thoroughly enjoys going out training and competing, Monty also enjoys hacking and is forward thinking and confident out on his own and in company.

Monty would benefit from a smaller lighter rider and to be preferably kept on flatter fields as ours are very hilly along with our hacking , we feel this will benefit his long term well being .

Monty loves being out in the field , he wouldn’t be a horse to keep in all through the winter but it also happy to come in ie for the night or in during the day what ever your routine maybe .

Monty has no vices at all and is exceptionally easy to have around . Homes absolutely will be vetted as we really don’t want the lovely boy passed around.

She just seems to get on with everything you throw at her.

I have also been concentrating on her flat work. Walk and trot she stays in a lovely outline. Her canter is coming on well.

She has had her teeth done, is fully vaccinated new shoes are on so Is ready for her next chapter in her life.

She has a scar on her back leg where she was kicked at her previous home which does not affect her performance in any way.
