A lovely 'ex-race horse' who finished racing sound last year. He has had a break and been in 'light' work since retiring from racing and is ready to make someone a fabulous horse.

Spirit has super temperament, he is relaxed and easy to be around. Loves to hack, gives a lovely safe yet forward feel and is beginning to find a contact and work a little more together in the arena.

He trots over poles with no questions and has popped a few small fences with no bother.

He is relatively 'untried' in term of schooling etc but he is very willing and keen to please.

He doesnt need riding daily and would absolutely suit a teenager wanting to learn with her/ his horse.

He is the type you could box up and take to clinics, hack with friends and compete as and when you feel like it (with a little extra schooling).

Archie (Nemean Lion) was retrained from a successful career in steeple chasing, aged 7 by a professional event rider. Since then, he has been a joy to own for 4 years, for my teenage daughter, and together they have excelled in dressage, trained regularly in show jumping and XC and had great fun, hacking out extensively.

Competing at BD Novice but with the potential to go much further he is very responsive to teaching and always receives special comments from judges for his flowing movement. He has 3 beautiful, balanced paces, smooth transitions and accurate footwork. He has competed regularly in dressage, including for Cambridgeshire BD Team Championships, consistently scoring 70+. He is a genuine showman who loves being centre of attention in the arena. At events, he is a pro who remains calm and is unphased by anything going on around him.

Archie and my daughter have been consistently trained by a 5* Event Rider in SJ to 100cm and XC to 90cm, which he really enjoys. Although he has not regularly competed in either, he has plenty of scope to do more. As a well-schooled horse, he is very athletic, balanced and covers the ground. Snaffle mouthed in all disciplines, he is forward when jumping, but responsive to the leg and seat. An experienced rider can manage his paces well. He would be eligible for ROR.

Archie really loves hacking out alone or in company and is 100% in traffic including large, noisy, agricultural equipment which he is used to at home.
Since he has only competed on surfaces and rarely ridden on hard ground, he has low mileage on the clock for his age. He has had no injuries to bones, joints or soft tissue and passed a 5-stage vetting (for re-insurance purposes) within the last year.

He is an absolute gentleman, is easy to handle on the ground, well-mannered in all situations and good to shoe, clip, catch, for the dentist & vet. He loads and travels perfectly, on his own or with other horses in both 7.5T, 4.5T or a trailer. He enjoys being with both humans and horses and is a big personality in our small yard. He lives out in the summer and is stabled at night in the winter.

This will be a very sad sale for our family, but is the right thing for him, as a talented horse with a lot more to give, since my daughter is going away to university for 4 years. We are keen for him to go to a home where he will be loved and appreciated as much as he has with us.

Gem is extremely well bred ex-racehorse only raced 4 times but was unsuccessful so hasn't been hammered or over raced at a young age, she retired sound with no injuries. 

Gem has always been a fantastic hack from the first day I had her, she hadn't been ridden for well over a year but I just popped on and went straight out onto the roads, has been hacked by all my staff and apprentices with no issue. Gem would excel as an endurance horse due to her being bold and forward thinking.

Gems schooling is still at the work in progress stage so this will be something a new owner will have to carry on her but she is showing lots of promise in this area, I did a lot of groundwork (mostly TRT method) which has massively helped her understand what an arena is all about.

Gem will need time to settle into a new routine at a new yard so would require someone who understands this but when kept in a routine will happily live in or out, she is happiest out 24/7 but I have had her stabled all winter due to extremely wet fields.

I would prefer Gem to go to a home where she is worked regularly as she thrives on work and on a 1 to 1 basis.

Gem is currently on sales livery where she is being kept in full work as I am currently unable to ride hence very sad sale.

Rocco (Off My Rocco) is an attractive 16.1hh 8 year old TB with 3 good paces. He has been out of racing for 2 ½ years and has taken to being a riding horse like a duck to water.

Rocco has competed in dressage and show jumping and recently finished 6th in his first BE event (90cm) at Aston Le Walls with a double clear. He is always placed well in dressage and has won at ROR dressage competitions.

He stayed away at camp and has regularly attended clinics. He hunted several times last season and was really well behaved.

Was in training but NEVER RACED as she was just too slow. Has been retraining for a few months now.

No splints or sarcoids. No vices. Small superficial scar on her hind limb. Happily lives in or out, with company or alone. Can be turned out with no horses in sight and equally stay in by herself - very easygoing.

Very sweet personality on the ground and ridden. Heart of gold, absolutely not a nasty bone in her. Very chilled out, not a spooky type at all. Genuine sort who aims to please. Hacks alone and in company. Loads perfectly and stands in a box by herself happily munching on her hay.

Happily popping around a small course of jumps and seems to love it! Has been out and pops every filler without question. Perfectly behaved in a busy warmup ring. Will take you into a fence and goes off any stride - very forgiving with mistakes

Very EASY - easy enough for a less experienced person to continue to produce. Would suit a home looking for low-mid level all rounder to do a bit of everything, or equally a lovely stamp of a horse for a competitive rider to produce.

Has just passed a 5 stage vetting on 20/06/2024 and am happy to include the vetting certificate with sale. Equally happy for any potential buyer to revet.

- No I have not had her x-rayed and no I will not be paying for x-rays for you
- Yes you are more than welcome to have her re-vetted (however keep in mind she is perfectly and fully insurable at her asking price and therefore would not have any exclusions, whereas IF there was a minor comment on a re-vetting, this would lead to potential exclusions)
- Yes she is shod all round. No I do not think she would be a suitable candidate to be barefoot given her breed unless you're just wanting a field ornament

She is the most easy-going lovely young horse I have come across in a long time, but due to her age, not suitable for a total novice! Not really interested in dealing with first-time buyers that do not really know what they're looking for.
