Standing at 15.3hh, Winnie is a beautiful 2023 Thoroughbred filly currently based at one of our professional racing yards. She had begun her education and was lightly backed, but due to our busy racing commitments she has been turned away for the last few months and is now offered straight from the field.
Young fillies with this calibre of pedigree, a clean veterinary history and the chance to start with an almost untouched slate are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Winnie is ready for someone to write the next chapter of her story.

Winnie has a lovely, kind nature and enjoys human interaction. She can occasionally be a little hesitant to catch, but this is simply down to having had very little handling over the past few months rather than any bad behaviour. Once caught, she is an absolute pleasure to work with and happily allows you to do everything asked of her. She is never nasty, never silly, just a young horse who will undoubtedly flourish with regular routine and one-to-one attention.
She was professionally vetted only a few weeks ago for the sales, passing without issue. She is clean, sound, has no vices, and has never required shoes, as her feet have remained in excellent condition naturally.

Winnie boasts a pedigree filled with some of the most respected names in Thoroughbred breeding.
Her sire, Walzertakt, is a son of the outstanding Montjeu and has become well regarded for producing athletic, correct and trainable offspring with plenty of quality. Walzertakt himself displayed class and stamina on the racecourse and has passed on his excellent movement, balance and willing temperament to his progeny.
Behind him stands the legendary Montjeu, one of the greatest middle-distance racehorses and stallions of the modern era. Winner of the Prix du Jockey Club, Irish Derby, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Montjeu went on to become an exceptional sire, producing champions including Motivator, Hurricane Run, Camelot, St Nicholas Abbey and Pour Moi.
