A much-loved boy looking for a second chance at his forever home
This is a genuinely difficult decision for Island’s current owner, who had every intention of giving him a forever home and had so many plans for their future together.
Sadly, changing work commitments and an upcoming move mean Island simply isn’t getting the time, attention and opportunities he deserves. Through absolutely no fault of his own, this lovely boy is now looking for someone who can give him the chance to fulfil his potential.
A new chapter waiting to begin
Over the past four years, Island has only been ridden approximately eight to nine times. He is not currently in regular work, and we believe he deserves the opportunity to find someone who has the time and enthusiasm to help him progress.
There is so much potential waiting to be explored in this lovely boy. With the right person, patience and a consistent approach to bringing him back into work, Island could have the opportunity to develop a rewarding partnership and enjoy a more active life.
As he is not currently being ridden regularly, there are no recent ridden videos available, only older footage. Prospective homes should take his current stage of education and fitness into consideration.
Looking for someone special
Island is eligible for Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) activities, subject to the relevant eligibility requirements.
We would love to see him find a knowledgeable, committed home where he can receive the time, attention and continued education he deserves.
This isn’t a decision his owner has taken lightly. Island was meant to be a forever horse, and the hope now is to find someone who can give him that opportunity and make him their pride and joy.
Could Island be your next partner?
If you have the time to invest in a horse who needs a fresh start, Island could be an opportunity to build something special together.
He deserves a home where he can become part of someone’s plans again, with a future full of purpose, care and new experiences.
