Adorable Dora is a 7-year-old registered American Miniature Horse, with a truly exceptional temperament.
This lovely bay mare is not only adorable but has a kind, gentle nature that makes her a perfect fit for families, therapy work, or educational settings. She is a rare find with experience that sets her apart.

Experienced Therapy & Educational Pony

Dora has been a valued member of our therapy and education programmes, where she has worked with both children and adults in stable management and special requirements sessions, including RDA (Riding for the Disabled). Her calm, affectionate nature makes her especially effective with nervous individuals – she has a unique ability to put people at ease.

She is patient, incredibly well-mannered, and safe to handle in all environments – whether in the stable, in the field, or during interactive learning sessions. She is confident and composed in busy settings, used to working around children, adults, dogs, and a variety of activity levels.

Handling & Training

Dora is beautifully behaved for all aspects of handling – easy to catch, groom, bath, lead, and stands quietly for the farrier, dentist, vet, and loading/travelling. She is stabled or housed in a stall during the day and is happy turned out in a mixed herd of horses and ponies of all sizes.

Although not formally backed due to her size and lack of a suitably small rider, Dora has been lightly sat on and led out for short walks in the school, fields, and very quiet roads, with fast moving traffic, and large farm machinery she taking it all in her stride and is not perturbed by anything.


Ideal Companion & Showing Potential

Dora would make a fantastic, low-maintenance companion pony for horses or ponies of any size, she is currently turned out at night with a large mixed herd ranging form 11hh-16.2hh. She is sociable in the field and happy living in or out. With her conformation, movement, and presence, she also has the potential to compete to a high level in in-hand showing.
She also has driving potential, has she is super willing and absolutely loves attention and new situations and tasks.


Health & Documentation

Dora is up to date with her vaccinations, worming, dental care, and farrier. She is fully registered with the American Miniature Horse Association, microchipped, and has a valid fully registered passport.
