15-Year-Old Irish Sports Horse – Exceptional Schoolmaster with Proven 1.45m Record

A genuine 15-year-old Irish Sports Horse looking for a knowledgeable, five-star home where he can enjoy the next stage of his career.

Currently happily jumping 1.20m, with an outstanding competition record up to 1.45m. His speciality was 6-bar and puissance classes, showcasing his incredible scope, bravery and careful technique.

Although he is still more than capable of jumping 1.30m+, we feel that, at this stage of his career, he deserves to step down a level. For that reason, we would love to see him with an amateur rider looking to compete around 1.10m–1.20m, or with someone wanting an experienced second horse to campaign alongside their current horse. He has a huge amount to offer and will give his next rider confidence, experience and endless enjoyment.

He is a pleasure to own and manage:

* Easy to handle just gets a bit possessive at feed time! Puts his ears back. Has always done this.

* Travels brilliantly.

* Good with the farrier.

* Hacks happily alone or in company.

* A confident hack who will happily lead more nervous horses.

This is a horse that has truly been there, done it and got the T-shirt. He has all the experience, talent and manners you could wish for and is now looking for a home where he can continue to enjoy his job at a slightly lower level while helping his next rider achieve their goals.

16.3hh chestnut Belgian Warmblood, 12 years old gelding with a big engine and impressive movement, who would make a fantastic allrounder for the right person. Very reluctant sale but unfortunately too much horse for his current owner and totally wasted.

He is by the licensed Belgian Warmblood stallion Fidji Du Fleury out of Niqua De Piliere, with Le Tot de Semilly bloodlines.

He is an absolute gentleman and a joy to be around. He is affectionate, people loving and will follow you everywhere. He is good to bath, groom, clip, shoe, worm, lunge and handle in every way. Good with all animals, traffic, tractors, cars, children, mares and geldings.

Passed 5 stage vetting end of January 2025. Hunted with the Surrey Union and done XC with previous owner as well as jumping to 1m on a ticket. Schools beautifully and loves his work. Hacks alone and in company, in front or behind. Loads and travels impeccably and not phased by new places.

Important to note that although he is all of the above he is not suitable for a novice. He is very forward going in the school with a big engine and he needs a balanced confident rider. In the right hands he has enormous potential but he has been known to become anxious with more nervous riders and can be strong. This can be discussed in more detail with anyone interested. For someone confident he is completely push button in all paces including to a jump. Would suit a male rider or experienced female.

Reluctantly for sale as current owner is simply over horsed and he deserves to reach his potential and have fun with the right person.
