There are many cobs that can carry riders around an arena. Very few can genuinely educate them. Cookie is one of those rare horses.

Purchased just 12 weeks after being backed, Cookie has spent the last five years as the heart of my 1 horse riding school at Rosevidney Livery Stables. She is not your typical riding school cob—she is an athletic, beautifully educated grass roots level dressage horse who has spent her career producing riders while building an exceptional competition record of her own.

Cookie is not suitable for beginners / novices. She is a responsive, established horse who expects her rider to ride correctly and will reward them with everything she has. She thrives on having a job and genuinely loves competing.

Perhaps her greatest achievement has been taking a rider from the very beginning of their British Dressage journey through to Regional and National Championships, giving confidence every step of the way.

She is excellent to catch, load, travel, shoe and clip, is unfazed by trains and low-flying aircraft, and is a pleasure to have on the yard. Hacking has never been a major part of her career as she is busy with her lessons, but hacks every Christmas Eve. Although she has a lovely jump, her focus has always been dressage.

My philosophy has always been that no horse should spend its whole life in a riding school. After five years of giving absolutely everything, Cookie deserves a person to call her own. She has been incredibly difficult to replace, but her successor has now arrived, making this the right time for Cookie to begin her next chapter.

Bolly is a much-loved, 16.1hh thoroughbred gelding who has been a huge part of our family for the past 9 years. He is a smart, genuine and easy horse who we have known his whole life.

Bolly would be a lovely prospect for a mother/daughter share, for coming off ponies or for someone looking for a fun, experienced family horse. He has a calm personality and is easy to do both on the ground and ridden. He’s the genuine type of horse who is hard to find.

He raced during the early part of his career, was kept in racing to nanny young racehorses to the gallops and was then retrained. He’s not your typical racehorse. He has competed at BE and pony club 80-100, attended Pony Club camps, training days, team chased, and arena eventing to 105. He has hunted, hacks alone and with company, ridden and led, been to the beach, and enjoyed a varied life with his current family.

He is currently fit and competing at 90cm. He enjoys dressage and is eligible for RoR classes. He is a very calm, capable horse who is happy when competing, but he is equally happy hacking and doing something quieter.

Bolly is good to shoe, clip and handle, and has no vices. He has never been lame and has had no known injuries during the 9 years we have owned him.

Dyanne loves her jumping, she is a real point and aim jumping machine. She makes a nice scopey shape and is careful. She takes you into a jump in a lovely relaxed rhythm and is very honest and genuine to jump. She will help her rider out and go on a long or short stride, she really knows her job and wants to jump. She is very bold and jumps all fillers and water tray confidently. She is very ridable around a course of fences and nicely balanced around tight turns and does flying changes where necessary. She has also been xc schooling a number of times where she is always super genuine. She has a super comprehensive jumping record up to Foxhunter including jumping at the BS championships. Well schooled and competes Unaff Dressage with wins at Cricklands Stay Away Shows and 2nd at Hartpury International Arena & wins at other local Shows, he takes it all in his stride. He has an active trot, super canter with established walk to canter, turn on the forehand, leg yields, shoulder in and quarters in on both reins.

He has also Shown successfully including Working Hunter. He has Hunted extensively with previous owner, with her friends also borrowing him to Hunt. He enjoys being at the front and isn't a plod at the back. He can be steady in a small slow group hacking and will be more forward and quicker in a busier, faster group, XC and Hunting. Good to load on trailer or lorry, you can leave him on the trailer whilst you walk the course or buy a coffee and sandwich. He is great at both day Shows and Stay Away Shows, happy in a Show Stable.

Brownie loads straight on the wagon or trailer and I often take her out and about on my own. She also happily stands on the wagon on her own at shows, so you can go off and leave her whilst you have a look round. She is very easy and low maintenance to deal with.

She is currently living out, but happily lives in too, with no vices. She isn’t ridden every day and having days off has no effect on her behaviour.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

He is Brilliant on the flat a real rocking horse ride , knows his way around the school inside and out and has done a bit of everything ready to teach someone what he knows or take someone through the levels.

He isn’t a novice ride because of the type of horse that he is , but he is about as straight forward as these big blood horses can be although he can be a bit strong at times this is his only fault. Never any badness behind it and he’s ridden and competed my small teenage girls daily.

Although he has plenty of jump he would also be happy in a local level riding club home as someone’s horse rather then a competition horse, he isnt a horse who need to be out competing and doing stuff every weekend you can do as much or as little as you like with him as you like and he’ll jump the same way round 50cm courses that he would 1.30.

Biggie has competed on the bsja circuit and has just this week stepped up and jumped his first 130.

He has all the jump in the world and never says no, he is a goer and would jump the moon if you asked him to.

He will jump any filler or any plank water tray ect and you could miss him 100 times and he will still keep coming he’s a horse with a heart the size of him .

Jumps ditched / hedges out hunting and has potential to also be a top class hunter or large riding horse.

He has never done it before but Would also excel in eventing as he definitely is the stamp to do so.

The EASIEST horse to have on the yard and I don’t say this lightly.

Perfect to clip shoe box ect and he’s around children/dogs/ general livestock and farm machinery daily
