Butter

Ref #: 403392

  • A show stopping, flashy palomino gelding
£12,500
  • Connemara
  • Palomino
  • Gelding
  • 7 years
  • 15.1 hands
  • Flashy and trusty working hunter
  • A show stopping, flashy palomino gelding

Butter – a show stopping, flashy palomino gelding with a cheerful, steady character to build his rider’s confidence in the show ring

Butter is a 7yo, 15.1h Connemara gelding with years of unregistered riding club and local competition experience

He is trusty and calm in new environments, he requires no prep for competition and stays cool in busy atmospheres

He is very honest and will always jump, no matter the distance

Butter has a soft mouth and rides easily in the contact. He always goes in a loose ring snaffle

Butter is a confidence giving ride with sport ability. He is careful over the fences but does not get hot, spooky, or strong. He stays quietly under the leg and is more of a push ride

Butter has done dressage and cross country schooling and excels at both. He would make a fantastic allrounder, low level eventer, or riding club mount
He would best suit the working hunter classes as he has incredibly stylish technique over the fences and a steady rhythm to his canter

Butter has automatic flying changes

He is easy to handle with no vices. Good to box, tie, shoe, load, etc.
He is good around traffic and hacks out alone. He has been ridden in open fields and always behaves perfectly

Butter has no lumps, bumps, or issues of any kind. He is open to any vetting

Price includes delivery to your yard in the UK. Exchange available if you are not happy

Seeking competitive mother/daughter share

Ref #: 401818
  • 15.2-16hh, ideally 6-10 years
  • Safe, sane and non-spooky
  • Must hack alone and in company confidently
  • 15.2-16hh, ideally 6-10 years
  • Safe, sane and non-spooky
  • Must hack alone and in company confidently
Very special unicorn sought as a mother/daughter share.

We offer an experienced and very loving home, with incredible support (based with a 5* event rider).

We don't anticipate EVER having to move the right horse on, they will become a very cherished part of our family and will want for absolutely nothing (we have the best vet, physio, farrier etc support).

About Mum:
- Vet and experienced rider (her youth was spent in pony club, hunting, eventing to BE Novice and dressage to elementary)
- She's selling her very special dressage horse to make way for this new stead
- Looking for enough quality to be able to be competitive at BD Area Festivals, and potential to go up the levels to medium/advanced medium
- Goes to shows on her own - so horse must be VERY easy to manage on the ground
- Working prelim/novice now is fine.

About daughter:
- She is an incredibly tall 12 year old, coming off a 14.2 connie.
- She's jumping 70/80 confidently, is active in pony club and is hoping to event.
- She's a neat, well-balanced rider, but she's not got much competition experience yet (especially XC)
- She therefore needs something kind, genuine and forgiving, with some competition experience already under their belt to help her out.

We definitely don't want anything sharp / sensitive / fizzy / hot / strong.

This special horse must:
- Be great in open spaces, both on their own and in company
- Have no ridden vices (we're ok with an occasional excited buck, but absolutely no rearing, napping, bolting etc)
- Ideally be around 15.2-16hh and 6-10 years to be future-proof for us (would consider 5 year old if wise beyond it's years)
- Ideally be experienced at 90/100, happy to step down to 70 for now
- Enjoy flat work

We offer a very special home, and have a realistic budget for the right horse.

Please WhatsApp details and videos in first instance.

  • 18hh 2013 AES Chestnut Gelding.
  • Gentle Giant Dressage School Master.

Melman has been competing at BD Elementary(BD HALONA BUBBALICIOUS), training at home up to Advanced Medium with ease.

His main discipline is Dressage, but has done occasional jump/XC schooling which he has been genuine and fun.

Melman is a true workhorse with a heart of gold. A gentle giant, he is trainable, sensible, and an absolute pleasure to be around. He has a fantastic attitude – not sharp, always willing – and is perfect for a rider looking for a reliable, well-mannered, and established horse.

He hacks confidently alone or in company, is polished at home, and performs consistently in the competition arena. He has also enjoyed some jump schooling and cross-country.

We are much more amateur dressage riders than he is used to and his teaching us the ropes!

Important note: Melman makes a noise in his wind and is therefore not suited for hunting or sustained fast work. He has, however, passed a full 5-stage vetting for general riding and dressage, which is fully reflected in his value.

Despite this, he remains a fantastic, versatile, and well-established dressage horse, ideal for a rider seeking a safe, trainable, and genuinely enjoyable partner.

Serious inquiries only – a horse like Melman is very hard to find.

A lovely gentle mare who does everything with a smile on her face, she always does her best to please. She is excellent to handle, really gentle, steady and sensible , an absolute cuddle sort in the stable, I’ve never seen her ears back, she is so well behaved at shows that I can even give her to my disabled husband to hold.

Having show jumped all her life in her previous home, jumping up to 130 tracks with a teenager, she is now ready to show someone the ropes at the lower levels.

This year she has been placed arena eventing, double clear everytime out 90 show jumping and has just scored 64% in her first ever dressage test. She hasn’t evented yet, but an eventing home may also suit her, she has been XC schooling this week where she jumped everything first time, ditches, skinnies, water and banks etc. see videos.

She’s is easy to load, shoe, catch, clip, she is just a really special and fun mare, the sort hard to find.

  • Complete schoolmistress
  • Professionally produced on the flat

Sally is a very pretty 16.2 ISH mare who is now looking for a home where shell shine in BD, RC, all types of clinics and pole work sessions and hacking.

She is the ultimate schoolmistress on the flat and has lots of experience competing and eventing. Sally has been professionally produced and is very much a push button ride on the flat. Although she has competed successfully to a decent level Eventing and Showjumping we now feel Sally would rather be in a dressage and hacking home.

At home and away from home, Sally is a pleasure to do on the ground and ridden. She’s very easy to ride on the flat, has three very correct paces, competent in her basic lateral work and doesn’t need an experienced rider to push the right buttons. She would suit someone wanting to win at prelim and novice or with a slightly more ambitious rider, she would progress through the levels.

Sally is good to hack, she can be a little spooky on her own for example at bin bags but only jumpy, never sharp or dangerous. In company she’s very easy and the type you’d hack on the buckle. She’s always in a snaffle.

Sally isn’t the type of horse that needs riding every day, she’s not sharp or silly but is off the leg and enjoys her work.

Home is very important for a much loved horse.

  • -open to projects ect

Im currently looking for a full loan to move yards, im based in West Yorkshire and could offer a knowledgeable and fun loan home.

I have been riding for most of my life, I’ve ridden many different horses from 13 hh first ponies to 16.2 hh Irish sport horses and 15.3 quirky Connies. I can walk trot and canter confidently. I’ve owned and loaned in the past. Im wanting to low level jump (really low level, not looking for a world beater), go cross country, fun rides and just go out and about! I can do yard chores, i’m confident on the ground and riding horses and I do also have insurance.

im looking for:
-any age (no 4 year olds as im wanting to jump)
-open to quirks as long as THEY ARE DISCLOSED!!!
-14.2+ (i’m 5’6 so cannot really go smaller)
-no bolters or rearers. i can handle the odd buck but nothing dangerous!!!
-No happy hackers please
-any breed ( no tb’s just a personal preference, would LOVE a Connemara or a Connie type!)
-open to horses that need bringing on/back into work!

The horse would be treated like royalty. Based in sowerby bridge and willing to travel to view the right horse, however MUST be able to move yards!

  • Quality Hanoverian Gelding
  • Established Competition Horse
  • Training PSG
Top class 2011 Hanoverian gelding by Bertoli W and out of a Donnerhall mare, combining powerful warmblood movement and excellent competition record.

Benny has successfully competed with both professional riders up to medium gold and young amateur riders up to Elementary and qualified regionals and area festivals many times, including placing at regional national championships.

Benny is currently training at PSG level with great enthusiasm for the more advanced work and clearly still has plenty more to offer.

Benny is a big, powerful warmblood who thrives in a consistent training environment and enjoys his work so would particularly suit a professional rider or ambitious young rider working towards higher levels and young rider classes.

He is good to box (trailer or lorry), shoe, clip etc and is up to date with everything including vaccinations, teeth and routine care. Travels alone or in company and will happily stand on the box all day at shows between classes.

Benny is currently based in South Wales with a Team Whyley Dressage where he is in professional training. His rider would be more than happy to continue producing him for his new owner or happy to support a new rider with training and competition if desired.

This is a genuinely difficult sale as he has been a very much loved member of the family, but unfortunately his rider has too many commitments with college and work to do him justice. He is a horse who thrives on work and competition and deserves a home who can offer this.

I am open to a px with money my way for a quality but safe alrounder for myself. Please note his price has already been reduced in order to try and find him his new dancing partner ready for the new season.

Heartbreaking sale of Joey who has been my daughter’s dream horse only for sale as she is away at college for two years and cannot give him the time he deserves.

Joey has previously competed successfully showjumping 1.30 (record can be seen under Jabari) but has happily stepped down to compete U/A 90/1m with my daughter but will happily step back up as he lives to jump! She has taken him cross country schooling which he loved happily jumping 1m hedges on his very first outing! He has 3 lovely balanced paces.

He is a dream to handle on the ground and very polite in all ways. Great to catch, shoe, bath, load, travel etc.

He loves his hacking and is perfect alone and in company, can be hacked on the buckle by novices on the busiest of roads. Used to all farm machinery.

This is a heartbreaking sale but my daughter cannot commit the time he needs so he deserves to be in a home doing what he loves.

He truly is the perfect horse be it for an amateur to climb the ranks, a competition home or a family alrounder!

Cookie is very sadly offered for sale due to his owner giving up. He is a super easy sensible boy. As a younger horse he was very successfully shown in hunter classes where he qualified for Royal Windsor and The Royal International.

For the past four and a half years he has been owned and ridden by a fairly nervous novice rider and his wife. He has built his riders confidence up no end. He has done pleasure rides, camps and some low level competing including dressage, combined training, working hunter, showjumping and cross country.

He enjoys his jumping and is very genuine to a fence. He schools correctly on the flat being forward from the leg and nice in the hand. He hacks alone or in company and will go first or last and is good with traffic. He is sensible in open spaces and never gets strong or sharp.

He will only be sold to the best of homes and ideally not to go too far away. Sold with tack and full wardrobe.

16.1hh | 13yo Mare | Sport Horse GB | By Royaldik

Rosie is a talented and experienced Novice / 2* event mare with numerous placings and consistent double clears throughout her career. She is a genuine, competitive horse who would be ideally suited to a competent and ambitious U18 or junior rider looking to gain experience at Novice level and aim for U18 champs.

Owned since a 2-year-old, Rosie has been carefully produced by a competent amateur rider and had been established and competitive at Novice level for the last few seasons.

Rosie is consistent at Novice level and has the experience to take a junior rider around their first Novices, she is exceptionally honest and genuine across country, and is quick-thinking, bold and very clever with her feet. She is very easy to ride through technical combinations, skinnies and corners, always looking for the flags and helping her rider out when needed. Her ability to adjust and sort herself out would make her a fantastic partner for a good under 18 jockey.

This is a very sad sale of a much-loved horse, only due to lack of time to give her the opportunities she deserves. Rosie thrives in a competitive environment and would make a fantastic partner for a rider wanting to learn the ropes at Novice / 2*. She has also taken part in lots of activities alongside her eventing such as camps, beach rides and teamchasing. She is great to take out and about on her own or with another horse and hacks out alone, in company or riding and leading. Good to clip, box and shoe etc.

She will only be sold to the very best of homes, where she can continue doing the job she loves.

Lots and lots of photos and videos available on request.
