Stunning Schoolmistress – 16.1hh 11-Year-Old Middleweight Warmblood Mare (NOT marish)
A mare of this type and level is rarely available on the open market. Had her previous owner not stepped back from riding due to university commitments, she simply wouldn’t be for sale.
Khali is a 16.1hh, 11-year-old middleweight warmblood mare with an excellent temperament and a genuine, willing attitude to her work. She previously competed in show jumping and regularly attended training clinics. Since being with us, she has hunted with the C&H Drag and jumped everything asked of her in a steady, reliable manner. She has also competed in arena eventing, show jumped at Felbridge, and is confidently cross-country schooling over BE100 fences.
We have tried her ourselves over show jumps, cross country, on the beach, and out hunting. She hacks calmly alone and in company and is sensible in open spaces.
At home, she schools well on the flat and jumps with ease and scope around 1.10m courses. She is a forward-going but straightforward ride—never sharp, hot, or strong. Although she is a very quiet and easy ride, she would not suit a complete beginner or novice. She has been bred to do a job, and the job she does, she does well. She is the perfect, confident and competent teenager’s dream horse to have plenty of fun with, while also being quiet enough for mum to hack down the road (or to the pub).
Khali would suit a competent teenager for Pony Club or Riding Club activities, including show jumping and eventing, and she would also make a smart teen or ladies’ hunter.
She is very good to load (trailer, two-horse box, or lorry), and good to clip, shoe, and handle in all ways. No stable vices.
