Gin is a beautiful 16.2 11yr old gelding by Harlequin Du Carel.

He was produced in Ireland with a good record up to 1.30 level and also proved to be fantastic in the hunting field!

Currently he is jumping up to 1.15 level with a small girl and is easy in every way. Ridden in a snaffle and not at all sharp or silly. He goes off a miss and is careful enough to win some classes!

Would be a great horse for someone who wants to do a bit of showjumping and hunting. I also feel like he’d be a fantastic Eventer as he has 3 lovely paces and is very brave XC schooling.

Gin is a delight to ride with a very comfortable canter and automatic changes, I have taught a very novice lady on him and she ended up jumping him around a 90cm course. So he really could go on and do any job!

Gin is also the loveliest boy on the ground, super polite, loves attention and good to do everything with. He loads well onto a big truck, 3.5t & trailer.

Hacks out like a dream by himself or in company in open fields and down busy roads.

Good to clip and shoe.

Happy to live in, out by himself or out with a friend. He fits in to any routine.

He is genuinely one of the most consistent horses I’ve ever ridden, he’s taken a small female amateur rider from 90cm to CSI1* 1.30 Grand Prix’s.

The ultimate kind schoolmaster, he is trained to small tour with super changes and easy lateral work! He is light and manoeuvrable, and kind with what he offers! He loves to work, and will try for anyone. He is a horse that could make your tailcoat dreams come true!

He has a solid competition record to advanced medium and has with his previous owner completed a few PSGs. He hasn’t competed for a few years due to his current owners health, certainly through no fault of his own. I’ve taken him out to an arena hire recently (video) and he was as good as gold! He is ready to go back in the ring should someone want to!

He is easy to do, loves to go out in the field, good to clip, loads well, travels like a Pro and super easy to stand and deal with on the lorry. You can ride him every day or give him a fortnight off and he will be the same! He doesn’t buck, rear, bolt or do anything nasty! Occasionally he will have a spook at something, that’s just him and that’s the worst he will do!

He will hack in company! He would prefer to follow he will do that happily on the buckle end, but he isn’t one that wants to be a “happy hacker” - he likes to do his job most! He is easy on the lunge, will do some poles but has never jumped.

He has a few flaws… he will weave without a weave bar on the front of his stable and does get sedated to be shod (Dom gel)

Fitting with his age and level of work, he does have a small medical history which we are more than happy to show to serious potential buyers.

He will come with a full wardrobe and deserves to go to the very best of homes where he will be appreciated and loved!

Custard is a 16h 17 year old dun registered Irish sports horse mare. Offered on behalf of her owner. She is a lovely rich golden dun with a real kind eye who catches the eye where ever she goes. She is more like a 12 year old in terms of mileage as she has been very well looked after and not hammered. She is an Irish Draught x ISH making her a super stamp with a real leg in each corner. She has a good amount of bone and a good depth of girth so would easily carry a taller larger rider. She would also be suited as a mother/daughter share. She has excellent conformation, is blemish free and straight movement. She is a super alrounder who has turned her hoof to and excelled at everything from dressage to sj, xc, showing, working hunter, fun rides, clinics and hacking. She has a lot to offer as she knows her job well and loves to work. She is a firm yard favourite; everyone who meets her just loves her. Horses like Custard do not come along very often, she is the type very hard to find.

Custard has 3 super paces which are very correct and well balanced. She is a very straight forward ride who really looks after her rider, she's not the spooky/sharp type. She is a lovely medium speed being nicely responsive to transitions and nicely forward going. She would suit a range of riders as she is uncomplicated. She works in a relaxed natural outline and is snaffle mouthed. She is nicely schooled on the flat up to elementary level at home with a lovely leg yield and walk to canter. She has done some unaffiliated prelim dressage tests where she always receives very promising comments and good scores in the high 60's. She is a nice school master who gives her rider a lot of fun and makes you feel safe. She is lovely to work with as she always wants to please her rider.

Custard loves her jumping and is very bold. She makes a super scopey shape over a fence and is very careful, she rarely touches a pole. She goes up a gear for jumping as she thoroughly enjoys it but she is still snaffle mouthed and very safe. She nicely takes you into the fence and is very genuine and honest (never stops). She helps her rider out if presented to the fence on the wrong stride. She has jumped round 100cm courses in the past, recently she has been jumping up to 80cm as her current owner is a very nervous jumper. Custard is equally as amazing at xc. She jumps everythin g asked of her including ditches and water complexes. She’s a real bold, fun jumper who just loves her job. She would excel in a riding club home where she could do some sj, xc and pole work clinics. She would also make a super riding club level eveter as she is good at every discipline.

Custard is a good hack, she happily hacks out alone and in company. She is great with traffic, just not keen on large lorries and tractors so we just pull into a driveway where she stands rock solid and waits for it to pass her. She is good in open spaces and sensible. She has attended lots of fun rides in the past which she loves. She loves her hacking very much and is safe, forward going and lots of fun. She has also hunted in her younger years so would also be ideal to take out hunting over the winter.

Custard has an exceptional friendly temperament. She is very quiet and polite to handle. She is a very kind and friendly girl who can safely be handled by everyone including children and non-horsey people. She loves to be groomed and pampered. She is such an easy girl to have around, she is excellent in all ways to handle. She currently stables overnight and goes out during the day but also does the reverse or would live out 24/7 as she is very hardy. She is such a lovely girl who will be someone’s horse of a lifetime. She is very sound and healthy, open to vettings. 

Custard must go to a 10* home where she will be loved and enjoyed. She will make an excellent riding club alrounder or fun pleasure horse . She really is a lovely genuine girl.
