Diamond, Safe Enough to Look After You – Talented Enough to Go On

Ref #: 420071

  • 16.2hh / 168cm
  • Exceptionally safe, laid-back & genuine – a true confidence giver
  • Brave, careful & incredibly willing – never says no to a fence
  • More kick than pull – ideal amateur, teenager or mother/daughter horse

Diamond is an absolutely lovely approximately 16.2hh, 7-year-old Irish mare with the most fantastic temperament. She is genuinely one of the most laid-back, straightforward and uncomplicated horses you could wish to have around and is very much the type that wants to look after her rider.

Diamond has been in the same home since she was a 3-year-old, where she was ridden and enjoyed by an older gentleman. She has always looked after her rider and this really shows in her attitude to life – she is sensible, forgiving and incredibly genuine, with absolutely no desire to make things difficult.

She is a quality Traditional Irish Sport Horse mare by Imperial Blue Diamond out of a Big Sink Hope (TB) mare and was awarded SELECT status and a 1-Star Merit for Athleticism at the Horse Sport Ireland Studbook Mare Inspections.

Despite her quality and ability, Diamond's biggest selling point has to be her exceptional temperament and rideability. She is definitely far more kick than pull, is never sharp or silly and gives her rider a really safe, secure feeling. She is forgiving, genuine and the sort of horse that will look after her rider rather than take advantage.

She has a lovely snaffle mouth, is nicely responsive to the leg without ever feeling quick underneath you and is very willing and always wants to please.

She is straightforward and uncomplicated on the flat with lovely balanced paces. She is easy and enjoyable to ride and doesn't need an experienced rider to hold everything together.

Diamond is an absolute pleasure to jump. She is brave, careful, willing and honest, takes you nicely to a fence and genuinely wants to get to the other side. She is incredibly forgiving and never says no, even when the rider doesn't get everything quite right. She has plenty of scope and ability without ever making her rider feel over-horsed.

She would be a lovely confidence giver for someone wanting to enjoy their jumping while still having enough quality and ability to progress through the levels.

She is excellent in open spaces and remains sensible and rideable. She is the type you can relax on and enjoy rather than constantly having to manage or hold together.

Diamond hacks alone and in company, is good in traffic and is happy at the front, back or middle. She remains sensible and straightforward when out and about.

Her lovely nature continues on the ground. She is kind, friendly and uncomplicated to handle and is a genuinely easy horse to have around. She loads and travels well and is straightforward to take away from home.

She is vice-free, snaffle mouthed and generally a very easy, low-maintenance mare.

Diamond would be particularly well suited to an amateur, Riding Club/Pony Club home, mother/daughter share or teenager coming off ponies wanting something safe and genuine but still smart and talented. She could equally make a fantastic fun allrounder, hunter or event horse.

She really is that difficult combination to find – safe without being boring, talented without being sharp and quality without being complicated.

Most importantly, she is a genuinely kind and willing mare who wants to look after her rider and make life easy.

Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

OPEN TO OFFERS ON PRICE

Lola | 17hh 13yo KWPN Bay Mare

Based on the East London / Essex border

Very pretty 17hh KWPN bay mare, Lola, 13 years old, offered for sale through absolutely no fault of her own.

I have owned Lola for the past 3 years, having bought her as a total novice, and she has genuinely been the most special horse I could ever have wished for. She has taught me an incredible amount, made so many of my dreams possible and has always looked after me. She has a lovely, kind temperament and does not have a nasty bone in her body. All she wants to do is please.

One of Lola’s biggest qualities is just how versatile she is as a ride. She is the type of horse who can step up or down depending on the rider. She has been incredibly confidence-giving for me as a novice, but equally has the ability to step up for a more experienced rider and be developed further. She is never a difficult ride and does not need to be constantly kept busy to remain sensible.

I genuinely believe Lola could be a perfect first horse for a confident amateur wanting to build their confidence, while equally being an exciting project for a professional or very experienced rider to develop into something exceptional.

Flatwork

Lola schools very nicely on the flat and is comfortable working in a snaffle. She would not currently be described as working in a perfect outline, but she has plenty of potential to do so with a knowledgeable rider.

She is sensitive and responsive without being difficult, and I feel there is a lot more to come from her with the right person.

She has always been ridden in a full-cheek snaffle for everything and I have never needed anything stronger.

Jumping

Jumping is where Lola really comes alive. She is very keen, loves her job and is technically very correct, with plenty of scope to progress.

She is currently jumping around 90cm comfortably with my friend and has the ability to go further with the right rider. She is not a horse that needs to be pushed, rushed or bullied. She is sensitive and if ridden aggressively she can lose confidence, so she needs a sympathetic rider who will allow her to trust them and build her up correctly.

With a kind and capable rider, I genuinely believe the sky is the limit for Lola. She has the ability to step up for an experienced rider while still being happy to jump smaller fences and give a less experienced rider confidence.

Lola has competed in the past and has a British Showjumping record. Her record is not particularly impressive and is certainly not reflective of her capability. She came to me with very little confidence, and during my ownership we have worked hard to rebuild that confidence.

She has not competed during the 3 years I have owned her, simply because I am not a capable or confident enough rider to take her out competing. This is not because I have any reason to believe she would not go out and compete successfully. With the right rider, I believe she could absolutely go out and make someone very happy.

I am not selling her as an established competition horse, but I believe she has a huge amount of untapped potential with the right person.

I have not personally taken her cross country, but I see no reason why she could not potentially enjoy it with the right introduction.

Hacking

Lola is an absolute star to hack.

She hacks happily alone or in company, in front or behind, and is completely unfazed by busy London roads, traffic and cars passing without slowing down. She does not nap or bolt and is sensible in open fields.

Even after a good gallop she does not become hot-headed or difficult.

She is equally happy having a quiet hack to build someone’s confidence or going out for a more active ride with an experienced rider.

Unfortunately, I do not currently have hacking videos as our current yard does not have any hacking available, but references are available from people who have ridden Lola, spent time with her and worked with her, and can provide an honest account of her temperament and behaviour.

Temperament & Handling

Lola is incredibly easy to handle and has always been very low-maintenance.

My non-horsey boyfriend and parents are able to turn her out and bring her in without any problems. She is lovely to do in every way and is never any hassle.

She is extremely confidence-giving and has never been dangerous, nasty or difficult to handle. She is sensitive, but this is what makes her such a rewarding horse to ride. She responds to a sympathetic rider and does not need to be forced or over-ridden.

She is:

* Very confidence-giving

* Suitable for a confident, relatively experienced novice

* Equally capable of stepping up for a more experienced rider or professional

* Never deliberately difficult or naughty

* Never dangerous or nasty

* Good to clip, although she can have the occasional fidget and does not particularly like having her face clipped

* Fine with dogs

* Respectful of fencing

* Easy to catch, lead and handle

* Fine after time off and does not become fresh

* Happy having around 2 weeks off before being ridden again

* Not fresh simply because it is cold or she has been clipped

* Good in different environments and has been to arena hires without becoming different or difficult

* Experienced travelling in trailers, boxes and lorries

Loading can initially involve a hesitation of around 2 minutes, but she always goes on and is then an excellent traveller. This is largely because she does not travel regularly. When she is going out frequently, she loads straight away. She travels quietly and has never caused an issue once on board.

Turnout

Lola currently lives in a stable with individual turnout, which suits her best.

She has previously been turned out in a herd and can kick, which appears to be more of a dominance issue than anything malicious. I would therefore ideally like her to remain on individual turnout, although I do not see why she could not potentially integrate into a suitable, non-dominant group with careful management.

Medical

Lola is shod on all four feet and currently sees the physio approximately every 8 weeks, although this is my personal preference and is not something I consider compulsory.

She does have arthritis in both hocks. Her hocks were injected in November 2025 and she has had no flare-ups since. I have the relevant X-rays available for any genuine prospective buyer who would like to see them.

Other than the arthritis, Lola has had no medical problems during my ownership.

Vetting is absolutely welcome, although she has never had a vetting during my ownership and therefore I cannot guarantee that she would pass one. I would rather be completely honest about this and allow a buyer to make their own informed decision.

Included in the Sale

Lola will come with her entire wardrobe and everything she currently owns, making her completely set up for her new home.

This includes her:

* Saddle

* Bridle

* Saddlepads

* Boots

* Rugs

* And all other equipment and belongings she currently has

Please Don’t Be Put Off

Please do not be put off by Lola’s age. She is 13, but in no way feels like a horse who is slowing down. She remains keen, willing and enthusiastic about her work and has plenty left to give the right person.

Equally, please do not be put off by her height. At 17hh she is obviously a big horse, but she is in no way difficult, dangerous or hard to handle because of her size. She is incredibly mannerly and easy to do, which is something I have always valued about her.

Her British Showjumping record also does not reflect the horse she is today or her true capability. She came to me lacking confidence, and we have spent the last 3 years building that back up. With the right rider who is kind, capable and willing to develop her, I genuinely believe she has a huge amount of potential.

She is the sort of horse who can step up and step down for different riders. She can give a confident amateur the security and confidence to progress, while also giving a professional an exciting project to develop. She does not need to be ridden in a particular way to avoid problems and has never been a difficult ride for anyone who has ridden her appropriately.

The Home

This is a very difficult sale for me. Lola has been my pride and joy for the last 3 years and has genuinely taught me the world. I would not be selling her if circumstances were different.

Her home is far more important to me than getting her sold quickly.

I am looking for a 5-star home where Lola will be loved and appreciated for everything she is.

I genuinely believe she could be a perfect first horse for a confident amateur who wants a kind, confidence-giving horse to build a partnership with, while equally being an amazing project for a professional or very experienced rider to make something truly special from.

She is a genuinely versatile horse with so much more to give. She can hack, school, jump, go out and about and adapt to different riders without becoming difficult. I would love for her next person to take the foundations we have built together and see just how far she can go.

NO DEALERS

NO LOANS

NO PAYMENT PLANS

I would love for her new owner to stay in contact and keep me updated on how she is getting on.

Lola is a genuinely special horse and is worth her weight in gold to me. She has made all my dreams come true, taught me the world and has always tried her absolute hardest for me. She has never been nasty or dangerous and has always wanted to please.

I want her next person to love her as much as I do and give her the opportunity to flourish.

Legend, a 16.3HH 2020 Thoroughbred Gelding standing at one of our members private yard.

Vettings and viewings most welcomed

Door to Door Transport Available Weekly

Legend is a stunning 16.3hh, 6-year-old grey gelding available for rehoming through no fault of his own.

A real head-turner, Legend has beautiful paces and has been produced slowly, correctly and with his future in mind. He has enjoyed a varied education, including hacking, show jumping, cross-country schooling, eventing, working hunter and showing, although he particularly excels at dressage regularly scoring in the 70’s at competitions. He is proving to be a brave jumper, unfazed by a fillers etc - his jumping education has been taken intentionally slowly to focus on building his confidence and technique which is improving all the time.

Legend has achieved two podium finishes at the ROR Regional Championships and has qualified for the ROR National Championships at Aintree.

He is a kind, sweet-natured horse with a lovely temperament and genuinely has not got a nasty bone in his body. He is, however, not a horse for a novice and will need a confident, sympathetic rider who understands him and can provide the reassurance he sometimes requires.

Legend can have the occasional spook and is not yet 100% confident around heavy traffic, although this is improving all the time. He responds well to reassurance from his rider and continues to gain confidence with experience. He has been seen to crib from time to time.

He is excellent to shoe, box, clip and travel.

Legend will be competing at the ROR National Championships at Aintree (18th-23rd August), where he can be seen competing on the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

PEDIGREE & BLOODLINES

Legend is exceptionally well bred, carrying some of the most influential bloodlines in modern Thoroughbred racing.

Australia is by the legendary Galileo out of the outstanding racemare Ouija Board, a multiple Group 1 winner and European Horse of the Year. Australia himself was a Classic-winning racehorse, winning the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and Juddmonte International. His pedigree combines two exceptional families through Galileo and Ouija Board.

Galileo, Legend’s grandsire, is one of the most influential stallions of the modern Thoroughbred. He was himself a winner of the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and went on to become one of the most successful sires in Thoroughbred history. He was by the legendary Sadler’s Wells out of Urban Sea.

Sadler’s Wells, Legend’s great-grandsire, was one of the defining stallions of the modern Thoroughbred and became a hugely influential sire throughout Europe, producing more than 130 Group 1/Grade 1 winners.

Legend therefore carries a highly distinguished pedigree, combining the Australia, Galileo and Sadler’s Wells bloodlines with an exceptional dam line through Ouija Board.

A VERY SPECIAL HORSE

Legend is a very special horse and this is an exceptionally sad sale.

He has been given a varied and correct education and has already demonstrated genuine ability and success in the dressage arena and ROR competition. He is the type of horse who could continue to progress with the right partnership and has the quality, movement and presence to be a serious prospect for someone looking for an established ex-racehorse with competition experience.

He will only be rehomed to a suitable and experienced home where the right partnership can be found. Homes will be carefully vetted, and his welfare and future will be the priority.

Loads of videos are available on request.

A rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully bred, talented and eye-catching gelding with proven competition results and a huge amount to offer his next home.

⭐️ PIXIE – EXPERIENCED FORMER GRADE B JUMPER ⭐️

| 16.1hh | Bay Mare

£6500 ONO | Reigate, Surrey

Pixxie -warmblood out of Sire Aldatasz

As an experienced former Grade B show jumper , now retired from competing at that level and looking for a lovely home where she can enjoy a slightly quieter life.

She is still a capable, talented mare who loves her jumping and would be looking for someone who wants to have lots of fun and benefit from riding a horse with a wealth of experience!

We see Pixie's ideal job now as being at the top end of the Riding Club spectrum. She would suit a confident, competent rider wanting to enjoy training, jumping and outings with an experienced horse, rather than someone looking to campaign her at her previous level.

Pixie has been ridden by an 11-year-old on the flat we want to find a rider with the experience and confidence to appreciate her.

She does have small maintenance needs every so often and we are very happy to discuss with interested buyers.

Pixie has a huge amount of experience to offer and finding her the right knowledgeable, loving home is far more important than price.

Bonnie has a proven Eventing Ireland record, including winning an EI90 with a dressage score of 31.3 and finishing on that score after jumping clear in both the showjumping and cross-country. She was also successfully produced through the young-event-horse classes as a four-year-old, regularly demonstrating her consistency and genuine attitude.

She has hunted with the East Galway Foxhounds for two seasons and has also evented, showjumped, hunter trialled, Pony Clubbed and attended numerous training shows. She is brave, honest and genuine to a fence, with plenty of scope and experience across all three disciplines.

Bonnie was only offered for sale in Ireland because her rider was going to university. She is now in England and ready to be viewed.

She is fantastic to hack both alone and in company and is exceptionally good in traffic. She is sensible in open spaces and is just as straightforward away from home as she is on the yard.

On the ground, Bonnie is an absolute pleasure to deal with—kind, friendly and extremely easy in every way. She is good to shoe, load, travel and clip and is happy living either in or out.

She would make an outstanding riding-club or grassroots event horse, a quality hunter or a competitive mother-and-daughter share. She has enough ability to be competitive while remaining genuine and uncomplicated enough for an amateur rider to really enjoy.

A very hard type to find and a genuinely special mare who should give her next rider an enormous amount of confidence, success and enjoyment.

Open to vetting.

Huggy is the cob who can!

He has floaty, comfortable movement combined with an incredible work ethic & sensible temperament.

Huggy is working at Medium level dressage with easy lateral work including shoulder-in, leg yield and half-pass in trot & canter.

He can collect himself easily and is secure and balanced in his counter canter and simple changes.

He is ready to go out and wow the judges & sure to take the Petplan Area Festivals by storm with new rider!

Huggy is great to load, travel and take out for lessons etc and takes new venues in his stride.

He is fantastic to hack alone or in company & copes very well with heavy farm traffic and animals.

He also enjoys pole work & jumping and has done farm rides where he has proven himself to be genuine, safe and eager to please.

Huggy is sweet and easy to do in the stable & has no vices.

BS • Hunting • ODE /Arena Eventing• Dressage • Beach rides/Sponsored rides • Clinics • Holidays — she has done it all and loves a varied life.

195 BS points with amateur rider. Careful, scopey, incredibly fun and forgiving to jump.

Super hunter, brave over hedges and careful over timber, keeps up all day but not strong.

Loads/travels well and lovely to handle, I regularly take her to shows on my own. Great in traffic incl. lorries, tractors etc, good to hack in company.
Well schooled- has been well placed Dressage up to Novice.

She is so much fun; forward to a fence but super genuine - she will always help her rider out and jumps off any stride without taking offence.
She would suit a confident, experienced rider wanting a quality fun horse to go out and enjoy. She thrives with regular turnout, variety and plenty to do.

A very sad decision after almost 6 years, so please no more timewasters. Massively reduced as must sell.

Based West Sussex.

Moorelands Crossword aka Bambi

Many many placings aff & unaff 90-1.10 🏅

Bambi is incredibly well schooled, she rides entirely off the seat & leg meaning that whatever she can do with a bridle, she can also do without! She is always ridden in a snaffle.

To jump she is absolutely phenomenal. She is incredibly careful, stays in a lovely rhythm, doesn’t rush to a jump and will happily take a miss.

She has trained around 1.20 courses but is most comfortable & competitive up to 1.10 - we always come away with frillies at shows!

Quick in a jump off when asked - I’ve had lots of fun with some crazy turns and she always takes it in her stride and locks onto the next jump.

She hasn’t been out recently as I’m struggling to find time to ride her.

Brilliant feet, (shod in front, barefoot behind) could easily go barefoot in front.

Good to clip, shoe, load, dentist etc. Very laidback to handle around the yard - leads in without a headcollar, gets ridden out to the field bareback. Lives in a mixed herd.

Perfect to hack alone or in company in all traffic (we hack on a lorry road), always on the buckle and the confidence giver for other horses on a hack.

Never been lame, sick or sorry.

Bambi is not suitable for a nervous rider. She is perfectly relaxed and easy to ride for a confident rider, however she can pick up on a rider’s nerves and become tense.

Like most horses she does have a few small quirks, but nothing major and all are completely manageable. I’m more than happy to be completely honest and open about her and explain them properly to anyone interested, so please just get in touch if you’d like to know more!

Very honest sale and only to go to the best of homes who we hope to stay in touch with - there is the opportunity for continued coaching from myself for someone local! Only for sale as I’ve just got too many horses and don’t have the time to ride her, would absolutely love to keep her.

For more videos see @teamtarrantequestrian on Instagram.

I have owned her for 5 years and know her full history so please don’t hesitate to ask questions!
