Quissini LS “Dorito” 16.1 14yr old Oldenburg

Honest advert for a much-loved horse – home is my absolute priority

This horse has truly been my best friend. He took me from jumping 70cm at 13 years old right through to 1.30 - we happily competed together for three years.

However, our journey hasn’t been without its challenges. After a fall (through rider error) at the second part of a double, it knocked both our confidence more than I realised at the time. Over the past 18 months I’ve tried to rebuild that confidence, but he is such a sensitive horse that he knows I’m not quite the same rider with him anymore.

I bought a new show jumper a year ago, and sadly my relationship with him has faded since. Over the winter I made the very difficult decision to turn him away for six months and start looking for the right new home – which is far more important to me than anything else.

He is currently being brought back into work and is the same genuine boy. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his character – he genuinely thinks he’s either a big dog or a person! He is a princess and loves attention.

I feel his ideal home would be with a confident, keen teenager or rider who wants to have fun and build a partnership, but not necessarily to go up the ranks. He hacks beautifully alone or in company, is happy to lead or follow, is a great babysitter for youngsters and absolutely loves beach rides. He is also good to lunge and enjoys schooling.

While his background is in show jumping, I don’t feel his heart is in the bigger tracks anymore – otherwise I would keep him. He has three lovely paces and would suit someone interested in lower-level show jumping (up to around 1m), combined training, or preferably all-round riding mother / daughter share

He enjoys being in work and is too good to be left in a field 24/7.

Open to sensible offers as I am relocating abroad.

Digger
Based between Bath & Bristol (excellent trial facilities)

Digger is a genuine, straightforward gelding who has been sound, easy, and consistently in work throughout the four years I’ve owned him. A quality, big framed horse with proper competition breeding, he would suit a confident rider looking for a talented partner to enjoy and progress.
Although 17hh, he does not ride big (I’m 5'6") and has given me back my confidence. He schools well on the flat, established at novice level with lateral work, and is unfazed by white boards, banners, and busy atmospheres. Regularly scoring mid to high 60s at Novice and has won local dressage championship at prelim level.

Showjumping, he is honest and scopey. Happily popping round 90cm–1m with ease, takes a miss, and has never stopped or run out. Confident with fillers, colours, planks, and varied environments. Rarely has a pole so often in the places at 90cm which I focus on.

Across country, he is bold, straight, and reliable. Jumps brushes, timber, ditches, water, steps and combinations with a great attitude. Consistent all year round and exactly the same after time off. No bucking or rearing. Can have a spook at something unexpected, but not spooky at fences, traffic, or large vehicles. Has been placed 4th with me at 80 and at 100 with previous riders I just don't have time or funds to focus on eventing.

Wonderful to handle and manage:
• Snaffle mouthed and never strong
• Excellent to clip, shoe, catch, load, and travel
• Travels perfectly – regularly taken out alone on the lorry
• Hacks alone and in company
• Good in open spaces
• Lives in or out; doesn’t get sharp with time off
• Genuine, polite, and easy on the yard

Temperament at competitions:
Quiet and sensible at shows, stands on the lorry, and behaves the same away as he does at home.

Rider suitability:
Would suit a confident amateur, competent teenager, or someone wanting a capable, athletic horse to enjoy and progress with.

Vice:
He windsucks, but this has no effect on his condition, performance, or behaviour and has never affected other horses.

Only for sale due to work and a house move meaning he is not fulfilling his potential. A 5* home is essential for this special horse.

Jessie is now sadly offered for sale as she is not enjoying the high pressure environment/ competition level we are asking of her. We think she would be better suited to a low pressure private home for someone to enjoy low level competition or riding club.

She has competed upto the Novice/2* level however she has shown that she is not enjoying the constant pressure and expectations of an ambitious young rider. She therefore deserves a quieter life with less pressure on her.

She has the sweetest, easiest but sensitive nature to her. However with being a sports horse she is naturally forward going. Jessie would be best suited to a sympathetic and quiet rider for this sake. Incredibly easy to handle on the ground and away at competitions.

She is safe hacking, hacks alone and in company. We are based on a family farm and so is used to a busy working farm with machinery and animals.

Sad sale of a much loved horse however she has so much to give to someone else with different ambitions and interests. Would love this to be a long term home.

Only the best of homes for this mare.

Somerwood Susie
16.1hh 14 yrs old ISH Skewbald Mare
Bazaars Texas x Last of the Lees

Susie has been with me for the past 4 years and has competed at a variety of events including SEG Eventing, PC teams and individual showjumping, PC Arena eventing, Team chasing, and lots of PC rallies. She has previously competed comfortably at 90 with plenty of scope and has schooled 1.10 at home.

She has been part of the winning PC 90 team at Gatcombe Horse Trials and has competed in the PC Arena Eventing at Blenheim Horse trials. We have also showjumped at Hartpury and Rectory Farm.

She frequently goes clear in the time when showjumping and can produce a nice dressage test. She is soft mouthed but nicely forward going. Hacks out alone or in company. She was low mileage when I bought her so needed some producing but will make anyone a really nice eventer/showjumper!

She is a super genuine and clever mare who will get you out of any sticky situation. She loves her job so would suit an amateur competition home. Recent double clears include Calmsden and Hazelton Manor (ODE 90) so she is fit and ready to go!

Good to shoe/box/clip/catch and up to date on dentist/physio/worming etc.

She has no vices and is not marish (I have never seen her put her ears back ever !). Has had hock injections once for very minor issue - happy to explain further.

A heartbreaking sale as I am going to university this autumn so only genuine offers for this lovely mare please.

Freddie (Mercurio II) was bought from Portugal as a 4 year old, and has been produced to BD Grand Prix by an experienced amateur lady rider.

He has three correct paces and is a very established small tour horse, with many scores up to 69%, and good performances at High Profile and Premier League. Most recently placed 9th Inter 1 at Addington PL with 66%.

He has competed at Grand Prix since Summer 2025, with scores 65-67% The two 65% were at High Profile events, gaining top 5 placings.

Freddie is a really fun, forward going horse to compete. He really tries hard, with judging comments praising his genuineness and effort.

He is established in all his work; highlights being very easy changes down to 1 tempi, canter pirouettes and a big medium trot. He has a correct walk rhythm and good over track, so his walk marks have been reliable.

Freddie would be an ideal schoolmaster for a younger rider or small to medium sized adult wanting to have fun at small tour and to get a feel for all the movements upto GP.
A good, suitable home is a priority.

Freddie is good to shoe, load etc etc, is used to living in or part time out (he is a very good doer so grass needs to be limited!)

He is very sweet person, well mannered and good to handle at shows as well as at home.

Very recent X-rays available.

Very reluctant sale of this wonderful little horse! The right home is extremely important to us, we are very tempted to keep hold of him, but his rider has outgrown him and wants to step up a size.and we are running out of space at home.

Owned by us for 2 1/2 years, been in the local area with his last 3 owners and he is very well thought of.

Achievements with us;
-Qualified NSEA 2025 Champs Individual SJ 80cm and team SJ 90cm
-Qualified NSEA 2026 Champs JWS 80cm
-Placed unaffiliated SJ 90cm and 80cm

Previous owners:
-Numerous wins and placings at BE90 and BE100
-BS up to 1.10m

Louis is super safe out hacking, great in traffic and will go out alone or in company.Ridden by a teenager on country lanes, passed by heavy farm vehicles and drivers who don’t slow down, he is not phased.

He has been ridden on gallops, farm rides and in open spaces and does not buck, rear or bolt. He is a well mannered little horse who does not get strong or silly. Ridden in a rubber snaffle at all times. he is a forward ride not a plod but has brakes.
(My daughter has goofed around with her friends on farm rides and gallops and he has always brought her home safe and sound).

He has had a strong BE career, but we have not used him for eventing. He has mostly done SJ and AE at 80 & 90 with us. He has been to PC rallies and has had endless lessons and always behaves impeccably.

He is an impressive mover with scope to do a lovely dressage test, so would suit an adult wanting to try their hand at dressage. He often achieved great marks in this phase when doing BE.

He is KWPN x German riding pony so is not a full up horse and would suit a rider about 5.7 and under. He has no quirks and not a nasty bone in his body. Whoever chooses him will thoroughly enjoy him, we have no doubt.

Finn is a lovely, experienced horse with a huge amount to offer, combining his dressage education with the bravery and versatility to shine as a true allrounder. A genuine dressage schoolmaster, he is well established on the flat and has previously competed at Medium level as a young horse, with BD points to his name.

He has three expressive, balanced paces and a kind, forgiving nature, making him a fantastic choice for someone wanting to learn, improve, and gain confidence with a knowledgeable partner.

Away from the arena, Finn is incredibly brave and willing. He has a great jump, happily popping fillers, and is bold cross country, confidently tackling steps, banks, and ditches. He really is the type who will turn his hoof to anything and enjoy it.

Finn has a full history known and has been in the same home for the past five years, where he has been much loved. He is now looking for a new home where he can be enjoyed more consistently, as his talent and experience deserve to be used.

He is a fabulous hack, safe and relaxed both alone and in company, and is a pleasure to have on the yard.

Finn is a rare find — a genuine schoolmaster on the flat with the bravery and attitude to excel in any sphere, whether dressage, riding club, or simply as a fun, confidence-giving partner.

17.1hh | 13 years | Gelding | By Chacco Blue
For sale on behalf of owner.

This stunning gelding is a true gentleman. By the legendary Chacco Blue, Chacco Prince has previously competed up to 1.30m while based in Dubai. For the past two years, he has been ridden at a lower level by a teenager in UK and is currently competing at 1.10m with a professional rider.

Chacco Prince has a kind and genuine temperament, though he can be a little shy with new people ( mainly men) , so he would thrive in home where he can build a close bond. He is super safe, a true gentle
Giant.

He would suit an amateur rider looking to enjoy lower-level jumping, flatwork, or general all-round fun. Equally, he could step back up the levels with a quiet, capable rider.
He has done some arena eventing which he enjoyed.

A special home is sought for this very special horse who deserves the best care and attention.

I have very much enjoyed having Chacco in my yard and he will be sorely missed

3 seriously flashy paces, working To medium level at home with a very trainable attitude. Plenty of ability to go on up the levels.

He’s got a super careful jump and is a genuine horse across country. He loves his work but has shown he’s not quite brave enough at novice level.

He’s good enough in the flat to be competitive at Badminton grassroots or U18s, he’d also be a fab pony club horse and would qualify for championships across all disciplines.

A very sad sale of a much loved horse, sadly finances mean I can’t keep him just to enjoy myself.
No novices or nervouses please, this horse loves his work and wants someone to match his enthusiasm.

Zeus

The ultimate allrounder who can truly turn his hoof to anything. Zeus is a classy, genuine horse with a wealth of experience and a lovely temperament to match. He offers three exceptionally comfortable paces, a beautifully balanced way of going, and the most wonderful rocking horse canter that makes him a pleasure to ride. Adores his flat work and rides like a show horse, he’s the type you could sit on for hours. The definition of an armchair ride.

He has done it all, dressage, showjumping, Xc, hunting, forest rides, sponsored rides, fun rides, and plenty of hacking. He absolutely loves water and throughly enjoying a swim in the river.

To a fence, Zeus is a true point and steer type, incredibly genuine, committed, and happy to go from any stride. He gives his rider enormous confidence, always wanting to help rather than question.

In the hunting field, Zeus is an absolute machine. He adores working with the hounds, stands beautifully at the meet, and is the ultimate ditch jumper. He is equally happy to thrust into action on a big county day or to sit back and enjoy a quieter, smaller day. He’ll happily sit anywhere in the field and behaves impeccably throughout.

Although Zeus is straightforward, kind, and easy to ride, he would be wasted in a novice home simply because he has so much to offer. He is a responsive ride and therefore wouldn’t suit an unbalanced novice who kicks rather than squeezes.

He hacks happily alone or in company and is a real gentleman in every way. Outside of the arena, he has always been ridden in a rubber pelham, which he enjoys and goes beautifully in, staying light and responsive in the hand across all disciplines. He will, of course, go in a snaffle, but is simply a nicer ride in his preferred setup.

On the ground, Zeus is every bit as kind as he is ridden, he loves people, children, and other animals, and is a true gentleman to handle. A genuine, honest horse who takes care of his rider and will offer someone a lifetime of fun, confidence, and enjoyment.

Zeus has had sarcoids removed in the past. They have not affected his performance, comfort, or ability to enjoy a varied and active life. This is an honest disclosure for knowledgeable buyers, but certainly does not take away from what an exceptional all-round horse he is. A minor consideration in what is otherwise a golden opportunity to have a horse like Zeus in your life.

Sky is a genuine trier in every way and has a temperament to die for in a competition horse. She has been part of our family for the last 6 years and has been successfully ridden by a young amateur and professionals. She has brought us countless memories both in and out of the ring.

She loves to be competitive against the clock and has results up to 145 but equally happy to drop back to a lower level. She is very honest and always tries her best to help her rider out but also a very careful jumper - something that is hard to find.
In her younger years, she was 3rd in the World YH Championship in Lanaken as a 5yo.

Sky is up and running, fit ready for the summer. She is the ideal candidate for a competitive kid wanting to do COH/Juniors but also an addition to any professional stables.

Sky is the easiest horse to do in all ways, she has the kindness nature and the sweetest personality. She has been kept at a small yard at home, loves the field and hacking out, but also been part of busy competition stables.

A very reliable mare that always gives 110%, she never lets you down.

This is genuine sad sale of this beloved horse as rider is now taking a step back from high level show jumping to focus on uni and a different career and Sky deserves to be out on the circuit doing what she loves the most!

I’ve owned Britney for three years and honestly, she’s never stopped or said no , she’s a fun forward mare but also she is super caring and kind always looks after her rider, very much a mare who will jump anything you ask her to. Would suit a teen coming off ponies or someone wanting to have some fun up to 110 115s .

Brit needs an understanding home where she has a lovely caring rider and that will understand her . then the mare will jump and do anything you ask her to . She’s happy jumping smaller 90s or i personally have jumped up to 110s some 115s she can do it all.

  • He is a genuinely lovely horse to have around

Gin is an 11-year-old gelding by Harlequin Du Carel with a proven record up to 1.30m in Ireland.

He is a genuinely lovely horse to have around and is easy to do in every way. He’s 100% to hack, easy to manage, and has a kind, straightforward nature. He doesn’t get fresh or silly if he has a few days off and is just a pleasure to have on the yard.

To ride, Gin is comfortable and uncomplicated with a lovely balanced canter and automatic changes. He’s very brave to a fence, honest, and forgiving, happily taking a miss and helping his rider out when needed.

He’s also brave as anything cross-country schooling and takes everything in his stride.

A fun, confidence-giving horse who is easy to enjoy both at home and out competing. Would suit someone looking for a genuine all-rounder with plenty of experience and a lovely attitude.

I am looking for a super safe hacking partner who would also enjoy the occasional beach trip/ fun ride and some low level dressage/ riding club clinics.

Quiet, kind temperament of most importance. Prefer something that has been out and seen the world. Must be confident to hack out alone and in company and must be good in traffic.

15.3-17hh depending on build.

Experienced horse owner who will provide top care for her new member of the family with plenty of turnout and lovely private yard. I can provide references, happy to keep in touch etc.

Approx 16.2hh, 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare by Lux Like Nancy, out of Lux Z.

She has previously competed up to 1.20m, but we feel she’s happiest and most competitive around the 1.10 / 1.15m tracks where she’s still very capable and consistent.

She’s a genuine schoolmistress type with smooth changes and is very rideable, making her an ideal step up for someone coming off ponies or a confident amateur wanting to go out and enjoy themselves. She’s quick against the clock, careful and turns unbelievably tight, so would be very competitive in jump-offs.

She has plenty on her record already, including qualifying for Blue Chip a few years ago, and although she hasn’t done much affiliated recently due to her previous owner being overhorsed, she’s now back out competing and loving her job. At the end of March she went to an affiliated show and won both the 1m and 1.05m classes.

She’s a very straightforward mare to have around — good to shoe, hack, load and for the vet/dentist. The only thing she requires is sedation for clipping. She does have some maintenance, which we’re happy to discuss with serious enquiries.

Based in South Lanarkshire.

Wanted genuine horse with a love for show jumping

Ref #: 404836
  • 15.2hh to 16.2hh (give or take)
  • Experienced, long term home
  • 15.2hh to 16.2hh (give or take)
  • Experienced, long term home

Experienced, capable, tall teen looking for a 15.2hh to 16.2hh that is genuine to a fence. Must be capable of jumping at least a metre happily. Ideally that’s done a bit of BS or competing already. She has great coaches and is a kind confident rider.

If horse enjoys a bit of xc, arena eventing, ode this is an added bonus but we do this more for fun and to add some variety.

Age of horse irrelevant as long as has an honest outlook and a bit of scope. We can offer a long term, loving, experienced home. We keep our horses at home and they want for nothing. We have stables with lots of turnout and we can cater for most needs. We ideally want something that is at least happy to hack out in company as we have lovely quiet hacking. Horse must travel well.

Good budget. We are in the south west but will travel within reason. Slight quirks/ailments considered but must be disclosed. Happy to wait for however long if you aren’t quite ready to move your lovely horse on yet.
