At 16 years old, she is in her prime, a polished, experienced horse who has been thoughtfully and patiently produced, never overfaced or overworked. She represents the finished article: a genuine, confidence-giving partner with the ability to excel across disciplines.
With an established competition record including EGB, BSJA, and BRC, Tilly has proven herself time and again. She is a consistent performer, regularly finishing in the ribbons, comfortably jumping 90cm–1m, with bold, intelligent cross-country ability and correct, expressive flatwork established to Novice level, including lateral work and extensions.
What truly sets Tilly apart is her temperament. She is exceptionally genuine, a mare who instils confidence and allows her rider to perform at their best. She is straightforward, balanced, and beautifully rideable, with a naturally rhythmical canter and an instinctive ability to meet a fence correctly. She never stops, runs out, or shys. She is never strong, yet offers presence, power, and responsiveness when asked.
She is not a horse for a Novice rider as she is well schooled, however, she is kind to any rider and will look after a young person going onto horses or a mature rider getting back into horses.
She is equally exemplary in her handling. Impeccably mannered, with no vices whatsoever and no digestive issues. She is easy in every respect to catch, handle, travel, hack, and manage. She hacks alone or in company with complete reliability and remains composed in all environments. She is unflappable, level-headed, and entirely trustworthy.
Tilly has lived with me since she was six months old and has been produced with care, knowledge, and respect. Horses of this calibre, safe, sane, educated, and genuinely kind, are the result of years of investment, consistency, and horsemanship.
She would be ideally suited to a discerning amateur, a riding club competitor, or a mother/daughter partnership seeking a safe yet capable horse who can deliver results while offering complete peace of mind.
This is an extremely reluctant sale due to my ongoing cancer treatment, and as such, her future home is of the utmost importance and is more important than the price. I have two others, and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to keep them fit, especially with the winter a few months away, therefore, she now needs to go to someone who can get the joy and success out of her. REDUCED for quick sale due to further up coming cancer treatment, not for any fault of hers.
