Hugo is a striking 10-year-old, 14.2hh bay gelding with superb presence and expressive movement. A beautifully bred part-bred Arab × Welsh, he is every inch the show pony/show riding type, a great all rounder and mother and daughter share with an impressive competition history both in-hand and under saddle.

We have had the pleasure of owning Hugo since he was 2 years old and He has won multiple championships and supremes, including Bronze and Silver medals in-hand, placed 2nd at Your Horse Live, and enjoyed many wins at Equifest alongside numerous successes at local and county-level shows.
He was never affiliated simply due to COVID causing a missed year, and by the time showing resumed, his riders had aged out of his section.

Under saddle, Hugo is a fun and forward pony who loves to work. He is:
• Good to hack, both alone and in company
• Schooling nicely with three expressive paces
• Happy to pop a small fence
• Enjoys variety and thrives with consistent work, your perfect all rounder.

Hugo does have a cheeky, quirky side, and he is NOT for a beginner, so he requires a confident rider and someone experienced on the ground. In the right hands, he is an incredibly rewarding pony who loves a bond with his person.

He also cribs, which has been considered in his pricing and does not affect him in his day-to-day work.

This is a very reluctant sale due to work and family commitments, as he deserves more time and consistency than we can currently give.
