A smart, athletic cob with correct conformation, excellent movement, and a genuine, trainable nature. He is an exciting prospect for showing, working hunter, show jumping, riding club, pony club, and eventing, with the quality and presence to stand out wherever he goes.

Forward-thinking and responsive without being strong or silly, he is a fun horse to ride while remaining polite and mannerly. He works well on the flat with three balanced paces and enjoys his jumping. Honest, brave, and careful over a fence, he confidently jumps coloured fences, fillers, rustic obstacles, and cross-country fences.

A straightforward horse to have around the yard. Good to catch, shoe, clip, load, and travel. Hacks alone and in company and is happy in a busy environment.

He would suit a competent teenager or adult wanting a quality all-rounder to enjoy Riding Club or Pony Club activities, compete successfully, or produce further. Equally capable of being competitive in the show ring or out eventing.

Sad sale due to complete lack of time to do him justice and he is far too good to sit in the field doing nothing.

Absolutely stunning silver dapple and white 5yr old gelding standing around 14,1hh and as wide as he is tall,

An abundance of main tail and feather he is a straight moving boy with no blemishes and no vices.

A lovely natured boy who loves people he is good to do in all ways catch bath with farrier is good to fully clip he travels and loads well in lorry or trailer.

Was broken last year and hacking out round the villages like an an angel and turned away for winter but due to complete lack of time has done nothing since.

He will come back in to work easy with no problem I have tacked him up a few times and jumped on and gone round the village and he didn’t bat an eye.

Did a couple of in hand shows as a 2 yr old and won everything he has so much potential would easy show at county level could or would be a lovely family horse.

Patrick’s Palomino Prince AKA “Max”

4 year old TGCA Part-Bred Registered Palomino Cob Gelding standing at 14.1hh, with some growing and maturing still to do. Expected to finish around 14.2hh. Rider pictured is 5ft 7.

Max was backed earlier this year and has been brought on slowly and correctly, with his education focused on getting out hacking and seeing the world. He has a kind, laid back temperament, and is now ready for someone to continue his education.

He hacks alone and in company, and is brilliant in traffic. Wagons, tractors, farm machinery, dogs, cows and bikes don’t seem to bother him.

As you’d expect from a 4 year old, Max is green in the school, but he’s straightforward and very willing. He hasn’t been rushed or overproduced and has been allowed time to mature at his own pace. He has a very trainable temperament, takes everything in his stride and genuinely wants to please. He’s regularly hacked on busy country roads and through open fields, and has proved himself to be a sensible and genuine young horse.

Max has no vices. He’s easy to catch, good to load in both a trailer and wagon, good for the farrier, and is up to date with vaccinations, worming and the dentist. He lives happily in or out, gets on well with other horses and is generally very easy to have around.

He’ll stand tied up patiently while you potter about, loves being groomed and fussed over, and stands happily to be bathed. He was clipped for the first time this spring and behaved impeccably throughout.

As good as he is, Max is still a young horse and learning, so he wouldn’t be suited to a beginner at this stage. That said, he has happily carried children and nervous riders under supervision and has always looked after them.

Max is a genuine, kind young cob with a lovely attitude to life. He’s the sort that’s becoming increasingly difficult to find and I’m sure he’ll be someone’s best friend.
