Cobby is a stunning 11-year-old, 15hh cob gelding with the sweetest, most affectionate nature. He is exceptionally well mannered both in and out of the stable and is a real pleasure to have around.
Cobby is certainly not your average cob! He is beautifully schooled on the flat, works correctly on the bridle and has established flying changes. He rides far better than your typical cob and is a genuine HOYS-quality prospect, with all the attributes to reach the top as a Maxi Cob or Heavyweight Show Hunter. He has successfully shown previously to county level.
He has three lovely, level paces, excellent conformation and a real presence about him. He is responsive, forward-thinking and enjoys his work, always wanting to please his rider.
Cobby is experienced and established across all disciplines and would equally suit a competitive home wanting to show, showjump, event, dressage or hunt. He comfortably jumps 80cm–1m tracks both showjumping and cross-country, is not spooky with fillers and makes a stunning shape over a fence. He is straightforward and confident across a variety of fences and thoroughly enjoys his jumping. Would grassroots BE!
For the past couple of years, Cobby has been owned by an elite stable in Dubai, owned by Saudi Royal Family , where he has regularly ridden out alongside top-level performance endurance and racehorses. Despite his quality and ability, he has also been ridden by a very small 11-year-old girl who simply climbs aboard, and he behaves impeccably.
He is fit and ready to hunt this season and will happily go at the front or back of the field. Stands on point with excellent manners. He is also good in traffic and sensible in open spaces.
