Blue is a 10 year old cob standing at 14.3hh. He is for sale through no fault of his own as his elderly owner of the last 4 years needs a quieter horse and he needs a job!

Blue is established in all paces in the school and jumps for fun.

He hacks very well in company, but has not been hacked out on his own.

He is a forward going cob and needs a confident rider or he will try and mess about. Once you have the measure of him, he will do anything for you.
He is happier in a consistent routine, the more you do with him, the better he gets.

He is not suitable for a novice or beginner as he can be quite strong and opinionated at times.

Loves a fuss and a groom, will come to call in the field and easy to catch.

He is up to date with vaccinations, physio and teeth and is excellent to clip, trim (he is barefoot) and with the dentist.

He loads and travels well in a lorry, he has not been travelled in a trailer.

He prefers to live out with a shelter but has been stabled at night in winter.

He is prone to mallanders like most cobs, but these are managed with his diet and regular application of aqueous cream.

Please ask for additional photos or videos and to view

He will come with turnout rugs

15hh 4 year old black cob mare has recently been backed. She has a good mouth, still green and sometimes gets the wrong canter lead but this will come with time.

She is very sweet and easy to handle in and out of the stable with good manners. Shes been on the road twice with another horse, however my road is a cut through and the cars go extremely fast so its really not ideal to get them going.

She doesnt mind wagons, tractors, jcb, cars but is lacking hacking milage. More hacking on safer roads this mare will be fantastic to hack with more mileage.

She has just started to jump and she really enjoys this as seen on video.

She never bucks, rears or runs off, a lovely sort and will make someone a lovely family cob for the family to share. However this mare has only been ridden for several weeks and ideally doesnt want to go to a novice riders home as this sometimes doesnt work as they learn bad habbits.

Shes the sort of mare that if you didnt ride for 4 days she would be the same when you next get on. Never sharp or silly

Shes been to the local gallops once and was extremely well behaved, loaded and travelled well on her own

She has no vices, goes out with mares or geldings in field, clean legs, great condition, good to clip, a good doer!

Ive owned this mare for 2 years buying her from the breeder in ireland and her Sir was a gypsy cob and her Dam was an Irish Draught

Owned since a three-year-old, full history known.

Competed in British Dressage on limited outings, qualified for the Petplan prelim Bronze, and took part in the inter County Challenge at Bicton, where judges praised the quality of his canter — a rare highlight in a cob. He has also attended dressage camp, where he impressed with his movement and attitude.

  • School Mistress ready to get on with her job with her next rider

With a heavy heart we are looking for a new 5* home for this awesome pony.

Mitchelcombe Banoffee Pie - Bonnie is a 13.2 Welsh Cob x Dartmoor

We’ve owned Bonnie for almost 2yrs and would absolutely not be looking for anything else if my daughter hadn’t grown out of her.

She schools well, has been to arena hires, XC and SJ and can turn her hoof to dressage, though it’s something my daughter is only just taking an interest in. She has done all PC activities and did Pony camp this summer and really showed what she’s capable of.

Bonnie has been out on hound exercises. She loves a job and loves to jump. She is well mannered on the ground and can live in or out but I would say she prefers out or a mix of the two. She can pull a face when you do her girth but she is just letting you know it’s not her favourite thing.

She hacks alone or in company, great in heavy traffic ,farm machinery etc
She’s great for the farrier, dentist, physio and happy to be clipped, can occasionally be reluctant to load but we have used a lunge line around her bum and she then loads straight away (we also give her a treat once she is on which helps).

Bonnie is up to date with everything. She’s had a new saddle while we’ve had her with regular checks and was recently fitted with a new bit and bridle. She is snaffle mouthed, can be strong at times but never dangerous. She is the perfect pony for someone that is a brave, confident rider who will push her to do what she loves, anyone who has this pony will be very lucky to have her.

This is a super sad sale so no time wasters, extra videos can be sent on request .

Price to include full tack and wardrobe

She’s designed for comfort, not for speed, she will happily plod but step up a gear when asked.
Super kind temperament, loves a fuss and cuddle.
Golden to catch, box, shoe, clip etc.
Very flashy, definitely stands out from the crowd and good enough to show.
100% sound, open to vet.
A type you rarely see on the market.

Fabulous Irish Draught gelding by Coilldarach Scirocco, out of a Welcome Flagmount mare

This striking lad is recently backed and ridden away - he is hacking out confidently alone and happily having a walk, trot and canter in the school and out in the field. He has been to a couple of arena hires, where he behaved impeccably - he takes everything in his stride with an exceptional attitude.

A clean limbed straight mover with 10" of bone; Max is a serious HOYS centre line Maxi prospect or top contender for Draught classes - He moves with power, elevation, and natural rhythm, as well as showing a scopey, expressive jump that promises real talent for the future. He has recently been out with the hounds for a morning, where he received many compliments on his fabulous manners and temperament.

Easy to catch, bath & load and travels like a pro.
Affectionately known as "Hippopotamax", this yard favourite is a pleasure to have around. He is a real eye catcher and is sure to do his best in any job.

15.2hh 4, rising 5 year old Irish gelding, still filling out and maturing to do.

A lovely type, tri colour, he has feather but i have recently fully clipped him he looks fabulous either way.

Teddy has a lovely temperament, very sweet. He works well in the school, 3 balanced paces, bends, picks up the correct canter leads etc. Hacks alone and in company and has been great with the traffic we have seen- tractors, lorries, combines. He has super natural jumping ability, has popped any thing we have asked, SJ and XC. He has jumped a handful of times but showing such brilliant potential being brave, bold and scopey. He is off the leg and not kick along. He is responsive, lovely forward going ride.

We have taken teddy to arena hires and new environments. Indoors, out doors.
He loads and travels well alone and in company.

We have attended dressage competitions, prelim 1, prelim 2 and prelim 4. First was an evening dressage so new experience of loading and travelling in the dark, he behaved perfectly with horses cantering towards and behind him in the warm up, was very well behaved and wasn’t at all bothered. 64.2%. Easy to take out and about on your own.
Then a day time doing prelim 1, 66% and prelim 4, 62.5% where we bettered our score in prelim 1 and had our first go in a long arena and white boards, was fantastic didn’t look at them! Full video available on cox equestrian services facebook page. Most recently back to evening dressage where we did prelim 2 and scored 68.2%. All sheets available.

Teddy will suit most disciplines, hacking, dressage, jumping, low level eventing, hunting. He has the ability to do well in any.

Teddy will thrive off a relationship and getting to know some one or having a family of his own. He is a diamond that i could see doing really well in all disciplines. A mother daughter share, a great hack but plenty of talent to excel in pony club/riding club and the competitions we all love doing at the weekend.
No novices please, he is young and take’s confidence from his rider. As i say with any youngsters, no un balanced riders, some one that can build confidence and give direction is still wanted at this age. He is un sure of new people initially.

Teddy is up to date with wormer, shoes, vaccinations and teeth and ready to enjoy his life with some one. Very regular up to date videos on our Facebook page, cox equestrian services. Jumping, hacking, schooling, traffic and so on. Or whats app for full videos of the above. We have slowly and sympathetically produced him to this point.

Open to any vetting. Viewing’s available north wales.

Noodles came to me having just been backed as a 5 year old. For the past 2+ years she has proved herself a sensible reliable hack. Not much fazes her, excellent in even the busiest traffic crossing motor way bridges, dealing with farm machinery taking it all in her stride. We regularly box out with friends and ride all over Essex. She has been taken on several holidays where she settles readily. She is happy in front and behind with 3 comfortable paces. She is generally forward going but can be stubborn if she sees something she doesn’t like. Never spins or rears and will take a lead whether its another horse or me on the ground.

Noodles is incredibly nosey and spends much of her time taking in her surroundings. The past 12 months we have attended monthly pole clinics which she has taken to very happily, using both indoor and outdoor schools.
Noodles loves to stand and be groomed and is good with the farrier. She has always been barefoot and copes well with most terrain. She lives out 24/7 with a light rug, never been clipped. She loads like a dream and travels well.

Noodles is a mare and can be feisty, she can get excited in a big group so I tend to ride in pairs or on my own. She will occasionally put a buck in when cantering behind. Due to her age and inexperience she needs a confident rider who is prepared to work with her and continue her education. She has so much potential and will try her best when asked. A long term experienced home is sought for this genuine horse.

Kenny
15.2 Rising 6yo Irish Cob Gelding
£12,000

Smashing head turning Irish cob, who has the sweetest temperament to handle in and out of the stable, can be seen being loaded in out of the trailer by small 11yo boy. Thoroughly enjoys a groom and fuss whilst also being great to shoe and clip.

Slowly and carefully brought on, showing an eager attitude to learn, he will make a very smart pony club / riding club allrounder with a super smart look about him.
He is correct and balanced with straight moving paces whilst giving an extremely comfortable ride, snaffle mouth and would certainly become a shining star in the show ring in the future. would also train on to make a superb dressage cob with some more education.

A super well started blank canvas, with all the basic education done, ready for someone to put their own stamp on and make their own.

Has been introduced to coloured poles / fillers and natural obstacles. Not a spooky type at all with jumps or fillers.

Has a couple of days hunting under his belt and if not sold before can be seen out with the Coakham.

Would be a great candidate for an equestrian college.

Hacks out, seen all types of traffic and works politely in open spaces.

Clean limbs and no vices

Do you want a horse which is a pleasure to own and ride, and always come back with a smile on your face every time, she’s for you. No pressure to ride all the time, as this mare is the same every time. Straight forward, comfortable, equal go and woah. Shes off of your leg, so no kicking every stride, but not sharp in any way. Shes game for a good canter down the tracks and across fields, but pulls up easily. You can have her stabled 24hr hours a day and she still will not get silly, even if you only ride twice a week.

Stands at the mounting block like a rock, for as long as you want. Hacks out alone, in company, you can lead her from another or ride her and lead another horse. Great doing gates, and in heavy traffic (we live on a 50mph road).

Shes been a great fun horse going to dressage and show jumping competitions and clinics (prelim and 70cms) but this was 5 years ago so would need a refresher course, she has been a great mother to Spartacus, conceiving and foaling easily, and for me a great hack, who I can ride out whenever I fancy, with no worries of the last time she was ridden. She always brings a smile to my face, and I know I am safe. We bred her, and have owned her all her life, but she has stayed away at Stud and being broken with no issues.

She is, and has always been bare foot, fully vaccinated, easy to clip, wash, spray etc.
Registered with TGCA

Has a made to measure Albion K2 jump saddle, Seddon bridle and numerous rugs

She is safe and anyones ride, if you can ride! She is not suitable for complete novices, or those who have only been riding old or riding school ponies - you will find the step up too much.

She deserves to be someone’s number one, and shes only available as I have bred myself a taller version.

Jimmy is a super sweet, people-loving cob who’s a dream to have on the yard. Easy to handle and kind on the ground, he adores attention and has a lovely, willing temperament.

Under saddle he shows a naturally good jump and is very genuine to a fence.

He’s hunted, keen, and really enjoys his work. Hacks out happily both alone and in company.

Jimmy is green on the flat, but straightforward—he just needs a bit more schooling to bring out his full potential.

A fun, honest type ready to make someone very happy.

Phenomenal 16.2hh 2018 blue and white Irish (green book, beautifully bred), quality mare, this outstanding stamp will turn heads wherever you go, and this horse will go anywhere and do any job.

This lovely horse has been to training shows, hunter trials and has lightly hunted, she has been slowly and properly produced and has gorgeous paces with a big hind step, she’s correct and spot on in every single way.

Loads of jump, bold to a fence, will help out her jockey and goes off any stride, she won’t ever say no. This mare is enthusiastic to work, always easy and has the most scopey, careful jump. A lovely kind horse on the ground, laid back and chilled out in the yard, easy to handle and do. Mannerly sort.

Blueberry is a lovely stamp, a true leg in each corner, big substantial mare and not the type you see often. Blueberry will hack alone and in company, good in traffic and easy going to hack. She will go out and do any job tomorrow with anyone on board.

Open to any vet or trainer.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.
