Barbie is a 16h rising 5 year old palamino Irish cob mare. Shes a gorgeous girl who catches the eye with her unique desirable colour and gorgeous head. She is a lovely quality middle weight stamp with a nice depth of girth, substance to her body and good amount of bone. She has good conformation, clean limbs, is blemish free and straight moving. Shes a very friendly girl who loves people and has the most amazing temperament however she is a sensitive soul under saddle and would benefit from being restarted and forming a one to one bond with her rider in order to reach her potential.

Barbie was started in Ireland where she was walk, trot and cantering along with jumping a small course of jumps and hacking out. It appears that she has been rushed and missed a couple of steps along the way as she can be nervous of her rider and can rush forward if she becomes unsure. She was bought by the RDA but after assessment it was evident that she wasn’t going to be suitable for them as she was just too sensitive and didn’t like someone running next to her whilst trotting. She needs a quiet experienced rider to take her back to basics (ground work initially) and to bring her on. Im sure she will make a super horse in time but she just needs 6 months of education and to gain trust in her rider. She has been ridden for several weeks at mine where she has done a mixture of schooling and hacking, mainly just walk and trot as we didn’t feel that she was ready to start canter work as she was quite green. We have recently taken her back to just ground work as she is a little weak across her back and we feel she needs to strengthen up before restarting her ridden work. She has been booked in for a physio treatment also as her back is a bit sore (has been xrayed and all clear so just muscular soreness). Shes still only young and developing so I feel she was just asked to do a bit too much too soon and needs to step back and reset.

Barbie has been super to hack, very relaxed, good in traffic and happy to lead or follow. She was also good to hack out on her own. I feel she would make a super hacking/pleasure horse in time as well as being a good alrounder as she has lovely paces and was beginning to work in an outline, just wasn’t strong enough through her body to hold it consistently.

Barbie has a kind friendly temperament. She loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. She is a good to handle in all ways. She is good to shoe, wash and load. She lives in and out and is very chilled out and easy to have around. She is the calming influence on the yard. She currently turns out over night and comes in during the day, where she has her daily lay down. She will make someone a dream horse and form such a strong bond with her person. She just needs someone who has the time to put into her and continue with her groundwork to build up her topline before continuing with her ridden work .I think when she strengthens up in her body the ridden work will come together very nicely. Shes very much a one to one horse too.

Finding the right home is very important to us. Strictly no nervous or novices riders. She is only offered for sale as she is too green for the RDA and would really need 6 months to a year before she would be suitable for them and they haven’t got the time or money to accommodate this. She would be £12k plus if she was up and riding as horses of Barbie's stamp, colour, type and temperament are very hard to come by. Based near Huntingdon Cambridgeshire. Sold as a non ridden project. Lady has a super loving temperament, well mannered with a heart of gold , she is a lovely person and willing to learn and always try’s to please!

She is very polite on the ground , loves fuss and attention.

Fantastic to hack alone and in company in the heaviest of traffic.. perfect in open spaces and you can jump logs and ditches on her out hacking, you can open and close gates on her and is perfect with sheep / cows/dogs/ walkers etc... we have took her to some training show at difficult venues.

She is super mannered at a show and will stand around happily. Always snaffle mouthed and happy to ride without a martingale , she has recently came over from Ireland from her breeder.

Lady is coming on nicely on the flat and is steady and just rides on forward and happy, would be more kick then pull , Lady is ready to be produced on to her full potential. She is just a lovely horse to have on our yard , loves to dogs , kids , she really is a person lover and wants a real loving home!

Doesn’t need riding everyday, lives in or out happily.

Lady is good to shoe/clip/bath/load/catch/ tack up etc... Lady is such a wonderful mare with her whole future ahead of her to be produced on with the next loving home and she could turn her hoof to anything !

Jet was purchased September 2024 for a 74 yr old lady wanting a happy hacker type.
Passed a 5 stage vetting after purchase and was found to be “green”.
Unfortunately his greenness wasn’t mentioned so sadly means he’s looking for a new home as this isn’t something his 74yr old owner can deal with. 

This being said, he’s hacked alone and in company. Great in all types of traffic and a lovely character to deal with on the ground. 
He has no vices, lives in or out. 
Stands well at the mounting block. 
Has been in light work for the last 6 months being brought along by a professional, within this time he has only misbehaved a handful of times when spooked or nervous but the trainer and owner both agree due to this he won’t be suitable for the owner. 
He needs a confident, experienced person to bring out the best in him but will be a lovely horse once he’s going again.

The wonderful Zoey! A mare that I have become super fond of in the time she has been with me!

Zoey is a 10yo beautifully bred quality and substantial ID mare. She is 10yo, however she has spent 4 years as a brood mare, so has low mileage for her age!

In Ireland she has had a predominantly happy hacking career, being ridden by novices & hunting, being an allround family horse, along side breeding foals!

Since I have had her, I have hunted her with the Fernie, she proved sensible & very straight forward! She stood at the meet, and was polite and level headed cantering in the field.

Zoey is working well In the school. She is a lovely active forward ride, with a fabulous step in the trot! She is green for her age in the school- but her schooling basics are all in place to further her education and strengthening! She has a lovely big show horse canter, and is light in the mouth and wants to naturally go on the bridle- which she has picked up incredibly quickly! Zoey is a super intelligent mare, she loves to work in the school and learn new things. She fills the eye in a dressage arena and is a super attractive horse. I think she would make a very smart dressage horse!

To jump Zoey has taken everything in her stride and proven to be bold over fillers. She really wants to be careful over a pole and gives the rider a lovely feel over a fence. Zoey thoroughly enjoys her jumping!
She has been cross country schooling and has proven to be bold, scopey and careful, she is straight and genuine with ditches and water.

Zoey has hacked in company and alone- she has been hacked on the roads and in the fields. She is a forward going marching on kind of girl, so not for someone who is looking for a slob!

Zoey is good to clip, shoe, load and travel, catch, bath, She turns out with others mares and geldings. stands on the lorry at a show. She has a capped hock and a small scar on her bum. Open to any vetting.

Vice free- her noteble ‘habits’ she can put her head high when you’re putting a bridle on- a small child would probably struggle to tack her up!

Has been led out on the roads with no bother, life doesn’t seem to scare to lad at all. Has the makings to be a lovely event, riding club, hunt or even police horse. Very docile in temperament and will stand to be fussed all day.

He did have an argument with some fencing as a foal and has superficial scarring on his hind legs. Will not affect his future career at all, just wouldn’t be suitable for showing.
