This is Lilly, a mare bread by myself (07/05/2023)
Stallion: golden euro
Mare: princess poppy Anne of Ivy grange (aka kooiiee)
If Lilly ends up anything like kooiiee she will be top of her field, and with the right family I think she will blossom into an amazing mare!
She is brought up regularly for grooming and fussing and will happily stand there all day. She’s turned out with my other 2 mares and is very well behaved she doesn’t break through fencing or rip any rugs, she’s also happy to live indoors but she’s kept out (24/7) she has had rugs on however she’s kept nude as she is quite a warm horse.
She’s amazing to catch and is infact the first one to me every time, she’s amazing to lead is respectful of your space and will follow you found everywhere.
She’s good with the farrier, dentist and vet.
She’s okay to load but could do with a little more work (but I am still working on this) she’s been out to few local shows and has always behaved amazingly, stands quietly in line ups even when horses & ponies have been acting silly around her.
She’s been tacked up and walked round and that’s about it, she’s been on hacks as a lead rein while I’ve ridden another horse.
I do honestly believe she will go very far in her education with the right owners.

Her mum (who I still own) has accomplished so much, we have done successful eventing, showjumping, hunter trials, hunting, showing, dressage and driving!
She’s won supreme championships at stay away showing, she’s consistently in the top 3 out showjumping, and has won countless dressage championships, and is a weapon out on the cross country field.
I do however believe Lilly would excel in a showing career!
She will only go to a 5 star home, I do not want her passing around and if ever circumstances changed I would be honoured to have first refusal, I’m only selling her as I don’t have the time, and she’s just not quite made the height I was hoping for.

  • Gelding
  • 11 years
  • 16.2 hands
  • Professionally broken for riding and to harness
  • Steady and sensible temperament
  • Correct, compact Suffolk type suitable for showing or agricultural turnout
Boris is an exceptionally kind, steady and gentle gelding with a genuine, calm temperament. He has been professionally broken to both ride and drive and is a straightforward, mannerly horse to handle and be around. He has not been in regular work recently due to lack of time and would benefit from a gradual return to work.

He lives on a working farm and is accustomed to heavy machinery, daily activity and turnout alongside a busy road. Boris has excellent manners on the ground, is easy to catch and handle, and is calm and cooperative for the vet and farrier (currently barefoot).

He has clean limbs, correct conformation and is true to Suffolk Punch type. Boris would suit a variety of roles including ridden work, harness work or a knowledgeable home looking for a dependable heavy horse partner.

Up to date with worming, vaccinations and teeth. Happy living out or stabled and mixes well with other horses.

Boris is closely bonded with Bunny (also advertised). Ideally we would like them to remain together as they are well matched in temperament and companionship. A combined price of £11,000 would be considered for the pair.

This decision has been made with careful consideration - Boris has been in the same home since being a foal and is a much-valued member of the farm.

Best suited to an experienced home familiar with heavy horses and with appropriate facilities and grazing. Homes will be carefully considered.

Currently living out 24/7 un-rugged in winter condition.

Saddle, bridle, harness, plough gear and horse plough available by separate negotiation.

Cornwall, South West.

Here we have the most wonderful chap you could wish for. He is super genuine and great to deal with ( he doesn't know his size!)

Best suited to someone that wants to hack out and do pleasure rides. Hes a big lad and just not made for the school. Lol.

Hes great to hack, good in traffic. He will go alone or in company but does need a little nudge to go alone if he thinks he doesn't have to. No badness in him he will just try and turn around.

He does have very mild cpl and is easily kept on top of with clipping his legs, which he is really good to do.

All in all he is a wonderful chap ready for his next best friend. He is advertised for a fraction of his worth to find the best home. Would love to keep in touch with his new owner as he is very much loved

Annie - 15.2, 5 year old (2021) Irish cob mare.

Annie is the epitome of a supercob, she has so much to offer and is such a lovely kind soul that only aims to please.

Backed and ridden away last summer and mainly hacked. Annie was imported from Ireland in November from the breeder and is ready to go on to her next adventure.

3 good paces in the school and surprisingly naturally balanced for a horse of her age and type. A very comfortable canter and not big and bouncy. Hacks alone and in company, loves to box up and go for a hack to explore the countryside and pop a log in the woods. She’s a lovely forward thinking brave sort that wants to do the right thing.

Just started popping a few fences she has a lovely jump and is really honest.

She really would go on and do a variety of jobs whether that be exploring the countryside, fun rides, riding club, hunting. World is your oyster.

She has been a real pleasure to have and I ride her last every day so that I always end the day on a good note with a smile on my face! She wouldn’t quite be at a stage where she’d like a wobbly or unbalanced rider and needs guidance here and there so no one very very nervous/novice please. That being said, a few more hours in the saddle and some solid education and she is going to be an ‘anyone’s ride’ sort of cob. She hasn’t offered a single bit of naughty behaviour here at all just a young cob learning her trade so please don’t let that put you off. Happy to chat in detail about the sort of home she would suit.

Good to catch, bath, load, groom, tack up. Clipped for the first time recently and was a bit worried at first but then started to enjoy the scratchy bits so settled down and stood quietly. Did have a set of shoes on but is now barefoot as she really didn’t need them her feet are solid. She thought the farrier was a bit scary but again, just young and needs reassurance.

16.2hh
Shire Cross
Chunky Weight Carrier
Jet Black, 6yrs, mare

Astrid is a stunning Jet black Shire Cross with a big heart and a loving sole currently working in a riding school by intermediate level and above riders, although still green in the school, she is a genuine blank canvas with a lovely, willing and trainable nature. She is beginning to understand his flatwork, canters on the correct leg, and is learning to maintain balance and straightness. She is confident over poles and small obstacles and always tries her best; never sharp, spooky or silly, simply straightforward and eager to learn. With a more competent rider, she will work into a soft outline and is already showing promising development in suppleness, balance and responsiveness to the leg, including the early stages of lateral work.

She is wonderfully safe and sensible, naturally more whoa than go. If a rider loses balance or stirrups, she will quietly come back to walk without being asked, making him incredibly forgiving and confidence-building for riders with less knowledge.

She has a big, genuine heart and learns quickly. Despite not having done extensive arena work, she puts his heart and soul into everything asked of her. Her slow and steady outlook on life, paired with her calm, unflappable temperament, means nothing much phases her.

Her experience has been primarily trekking and hacking, and this is where she truly shines. She will happily plod along on a loose rein and look after his rider in any environment, making her a super kind, uncomplicated type for someone who wants to put their own stamp on a genuine, honest horse. She is most definitely a sturdy sure footed mare with a leg in each corner.

She does not fizz up, spook, shy, rush, pull or behave in a silly manner. Her chilled, steady temperament remains the same wherever she goes.

Astrid hacks in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eyelid, waiting politely at junctions without moving, staying rock-solid as lorries, buses, tractors, trailers, motorbikes and farm machinery pass closely by. Open fields are no problem either; she has impeccable manners in open spaces and has cantered and gently galloped on grass verges beside busy roads. In a group, she is happy leading, in the middle or at the back, never pulling or trying to overtake if anything, she sometimes needs reminding to keep up!

She also hacks out alone with complete confidence and a mature, ladylike attitude. Absolutely nothing seems to faze her, making her an ideal partner for someone wanting a reliable, safe and genuine horse who will give confidence and enjoy life at a steady pace.

Astrid can be ridden every now and again and have the same chilled out attitude as when ridden daily.

She is excellent catch, load, travel, bath, clip, groom, farrier, dentist, vet.

She absolutely loves to be pampered, she will stand all day without a head collar and lead rope whilst being groomed, bathed, cuddled and fussed over.
She stands quite happily in her stable eating her hay with the door open, never attempting to walk out unless asked.

She gets lead, caught and handled by the smallest of children, she is quite happy being dragged around the yard on the end of a lead rope.

She will stand at a mounting block without moving until mounted, regardless of how long it takes.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

She is currently stabled during the day and out at night within a mixed herd, she is equally happy to be stabled or turned out full time, she keeps herself to herself and never causes any trouble despite being out with 30 other horses.
She isn’t clingy or marish in any way and is happy being stable and or turned out solo.

Astid will give confidence to any rider/ handler and could easily compete at riding club level, fun/beach rides.

She can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, she is extremely low maintenance, she maintains her weight all year round on grass and hay and Haylage during the winter months.
She has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch or sarcoids.

In the whole time I have her I can honestly say she has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, she has passed the riding school annual inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible horse, with so much to offer.

Astrid is being sold on behalf of my son as a private sale

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around about every few years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again.

We have other horses and ponies available for viewings.

Photos and videos available upon request.

Albie – Fun Allrounder for Confident Teen / Small Adult

15.1hh rising 9-year-old Irish Sports Horse gelding looking for a confident rider to enjoy him.

Albie was recently purchased, passing a 5 stage vetting, for an 11-year-old rider but has proved to be a little too cheeky for a younger child. He is a kind horse with a sweet nature but can occasionally be a little nappy, so he is best suited to a confident teenager or small adult who will ride him positively.

Previously he has been regularly ridden and jumped by a 17-year-old, where he proved to be a fun and enthusiastic ride when handled with confidence.

He is not a complicated ride, just a horse who enjoys his work and benefits from a rider who will ride him forward and enjoy a bit of personality.

Albie would suit someone looking for a fun all-rounder, Pony Club or riding club type to enjoy hacking, schooling and jumping.

Valerio - 14.3 Welsh d who has the heart of gold, I got him last year in not so good shape but has come on leaps and bounds and has plenty to offer.

I’ve hacked, schooled and done a bit of jumping with him but he needs MORE! He’ll be a cracking hunter type but just needs a confident rider who will push him to the max. He can through the odd excited buck when excited and has the classic cheeky Welsh personality.

I would love to keep in touch as this is a very sad sale unfortunately I just don’t have the time to show him the world and hasn’t been touch in a bout a month. He does take an extra bit of time to trust people but once he does your winning

Can be bare foot but currently has front shoes on

He’s just had a new saddle fitted so he can come with tack but at an extra cost

Tilly is a fun, forward allrounder who has been an absolute pleasure to have on schooling livery. She’s an enjoyable ride and really tries for you on the school. She loves her hacking and jumping, easily jumping round an 80cm course. With her owners she has done a lot of off road hacking, and with me she has proven unbothered by traffic, hacking out alone and in company. To jump and hack she is a forward but safe ride.

She thrives on a consistent routine and a one-to-one partnership, and would be a brilliant match for a confident teenager wanting to get out to clinics and shows, or a mother/daughter share looking for a fun, versatile mare. She is not suitable for a novice home, as she can take advantage of an unsure handler and become a little pushy.

Owned by Mid Sussex RDA, Tilly has shown she isn’t suited to an RDA environment as she can occasionally throw a buck. This happens rarely and is never nasty.

Tilly is good to clip (video availible), shoe, load, and hack alone or in company. Snaffle-mouthed, up to date with vaccinations and worming, and vice free.

For sale on behalf of her owners.

For sale on behalf of his owner. 15.1 hands L/W black Irish cob with four white socks and face.

8 years old, owned since 4 year old. Lovely laid back temperament but forward-going so not a novice/first horse. Very well schooled, has 37 BD points, easily working at Elementary with scope to go further. Collects, extends and lateral work established. Won nearly every dressage test he has contested. Highest score 72%. Ready to compete. Lovely paces and really moves from his shoulder.

Is hacked/cantered/schooled by his 70 year old owner in a snaffle, on his own or in company, in big open spaces. Good to shoe, catch, travel, clip and used to big farm machinery. Up-to-date with teeth and vacs. Easy to handle. Passed a 5 stage vetting when I bought him.

Has not shown but would do so easily as impeccably behaved in the warm up at busy shows. He enjoys polework but hasn’t jumped as I don’t. Needs a varied life not just arena work. A real character who does not buck, rear, whip round etc. May occasionally spook if genuinely scared.

Very sad sale due to mature lady owner’s spinal surgery and the long recuperation required.

A knowledgeable, permanent 10* home required as whoever buys him will be very happy indeed! Price includes his dressage saddle, bridle and his rugs as owner giving up. Vets and accredited trainers welcome.

Ava is a stunning Irish mare . She’s well put together and maturing nicely . She been slowly professionally produced .

Schooling way beyond her years on the flat . Carrying herself in a soft supply outline very light in the hand . Three balance paces will do a beautiful dressage test in time . A very straight mover.

We have lunged her over jumps and done lots of pole work .

She hacks out alone of in company . Great in traffic and open spaces .

No vices easy to do .

Would suit most disciplines. Just needs more miles on the clock .

Looking for a knowledgeable experienced home to further this very talented mares eduction .
