We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, I like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.

There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.

Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.

Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.

You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.

She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.

She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.

If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.

She needs her own person, but if you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.

She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.

She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).

Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc

We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.

The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.

She has a Kent & Masters saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss

☀️Sunny☀️ A well-bred, athletic, striking mare with presence and a kind, quiet personality

Sunny is a 16.1h 4yo Irish Sport Horse dapple gray mare with experience schooling working hunter courses, cross country tracks, showjumping competitions, and hacking in open fields

We are proud of her education and sweet personality. She is a forgiving, patient mare who consistently tries her very best to please her rider

She is easy for anyone to handle, load, tie, shoe, catch, plait, etc.

She is very brave for hacking and likes to lead the way. She is not at all spooky and gives other horses confidence. Sunny is quiet around tractors, machinery, traffic, and cows and is not mareish in any way.

Sunny has schooled 115m at home and competed at 90cm at training shows. We believe she has serious potential as a low level eventer or showjumper with a rider who can produce her, or is quiet enough to suit a riding club amateur

We consider Sunny to be a real ‘ladies’ ride’ as she doesn’t require much leg to stay going forward in the contact, and has a soft snaffle mouth. Our rider finds Sunny light to the aids and responsive without being sharp; she is only 5’ and 48 kg.

Due to her brave nature and lovely technique jumping in the contact, we think Sunny would make a terrific working hunter

She is open to any vetting

Astrid

Stunning Clydesdale Cross Irish Cob
16.3hh mare
6yrs

If you’re looking for a horse with impeccable manners both on the ground and under saddle, something super safe, calm and unfazed by absolutely everything, exceptionally low maintenance and gentle enough to be handled by a child, a horse with far more “whoa” than “go”—dare I say it… a bit of a plod—then Astrid is your girl.

This 6 year old girl is wise and judicious way beyond her years, she is sensible, straightforward and safe. She is the most loveable gentle giant you could ever wish to meet.

She is currently working in my riding school where she is ridden by all levels of riders, from complete beginners on the lead rein through to advanced. She definitely has more whoa than go, so if you lose your stirrups or balance, she will quietly come back to walk without even being asked. She is incredibly forgiving and always looks after her rider.

Astrid has a fantastic attitude to learning and always tries her best. She is a lovely all-round horse, she is a kind, honest uncomplicated mare.

She responds nicely to the leg throughout all three paces and is happy to pop over poles, logs and small fences. For a more novice rider, she will happily plod around on a long rein, taking everything in her stride regardless of the terrain.

She most definitely doesn’t fizz up, spook, shy, rush, pull or behave silly. Astrid has the same chilled-out temperament wherever she goes—absolutely nothing phases her.

She would suit a nervous or novice rider, a mature person wanting to enjoy their riding, or someone who simply wants to take life in the slow lane.

She can be ridden every now and again or worked daily and remains exactly the same sensible, laid-back horse.

Astrid hacks out in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eyelid. She has seen all types of vehicles including articulated lorries, double-decker buses, motorbikes, tractors, trailers and large agricultural machinery.

She has impeccable manners across open fields and will canter or gallop quietly on grass verges beside busy roads. In company she is happy to lead, follow or ride at the back, never rushing, pulling or trying to overtake. If anything, she sometimes needs reminding to keep up.

She also hacks confidently alone through open countryside and the busiest of traffic, proving herself to be a sturdy, sure-footed and considerate mare.

She is excellent to catch, load, travel, bath, clip, groom, shoe, for the dentist and the vet. She is currently barefoot but was previously shod in Ireland and has impeccable manners for the farrier.

She absolutely loves attention and will happily stand all day without a headcollar while being groomed, bathed, cuddled and fussed over. She will also stand in her stable with the door open, happily eating her hay without attempting to leave unless asked. She is regularly caught, led and handled by the smallest of children and is quite happy being gently led around the yard. She stands perfectly at the mounting block until mounted, regardless of how long it takes.

She has a lovely snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets required.

She is stabled during the day and turned out at night in a mixed herd. She is equally happy living in or out full time, keeps herself to herself and never causes any trouble despite sharing with around 25 other horses. She isn’t clingy and is perfectly happy on her own if required.

Astrid will give confidence to any rider or handler and would happily enjoy riding club activities, fun rides and beach rides. She can have weeks or even months off and be tacked up and ridden exactly the same. She is exceptionally low maintenance, maintains her weight all year round on grass, hay and haylage during winter, and has never suffered with laminitis, sweet itch or sarcoids.

During the entire time I have owned her she has never been lame, sick or sorry. My vet can verify this, and she has just passed the riding school’s annual inspections with flying colours, equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting.

We are looking for a genuine five-star private home where someone can enjoy owning a truly safe, kind and sensible horse with so much to offer.

Only for sale, as we rotate our riding school horses every 12-24 months, to give these wonderful horses the opportunity to enjoy a one-to-one private home again. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

Other horses and ponies available for viewing.

If you are genuinely interested, please CALL me / WHATSAPP.

🎀GRACIE🎀 17hh Rising 6yo full bred Irish Draught mare.

Gracie is a big friendly giant for someone looking for a super safe steady mare, Gracie is for you!

Gracie is pretty much bombproof to hack, I dont believe any horse is bombproof but she has never put a foot wrong! She has absolutely no vices and had various riders of all abilities riding her including my 13yo child.

Gracie is green in the school, transitions well, good to lunge but needs more work in the canter.

Gracie has seen trot poles, small jumps, machinery, dogs, mirrors, used to a busy family yard and unphased by it all.

Gracie had the winter off and brought back into work this summer and took everything in her stride.

Gracie would suit a hacking, trekking, pleasure ride home. She would also suit a riding school home with further schooling. She’d make a great hunter with some time and increased fitness.

Good to lead, clip, load and shoe although currently bare foot.

No health issues, never sick or sorry!

Comes with full wardrobe including brand new Arena air pocket saddle, fitted to her by Master Saddler in March this year. Eco Rider bridle, various rugs, fly masks etc.

She is literally a diamond in the making!

Kippagh Choice, affectionately called ‘Neville’ by our girls, is a one-in-a-million find for a family with many riders, a riding club member looking for a capable, unflappable partner, or an amateur looking for a confidence-boosting, gentle allrounder.

He is a big-bodied, weight carrier standing at 16.1h with a little more growing to do. He is a stunning blue roan 4yo Irish Draught x Cob.

We have yet to find something he is afraid of! He enjoys hacking alone or with others, has no problem around lorries, machinery, cows, traffic, or busy arenas. He’s extremely brave and settled in new places and open fields.

He has been competing locally with us and loves it. His steady, comfy canter and adjustable stride is ideal for a nervous rider on course.

He has been dressage schooling and travels easily in the contact in a loose ring snaffle. He is not lazy or overly forward, he stays right under the leg, even with a petite 5’ girl.

With his floaty, suspended movement and blue roan colour, we think he’d make a fabulous horse for showing hunter classes or dressage competitions

He has been cross country schooling and enjoys it very much. We believe he’d make a great hunt horse with his mellow personality and great attitude for water, ditches, coffins, etc.

He is very easy to catch, load, tie, plait, bathe, shoe, etc. He is notoriously friendly and gentle, our girls adore his willing and sweet personality. He gets along well with all other horses and has no vices.

15hh 5 year old buckskin cob gelding

Lancelot has been recently backed and ridden away don’t be put off by his age or low ridden mileage he’s wise beyond his years, he’s seen the world as he was my driving horse he’s competed and been driven all over the country just has little ridden miles.

He has recently started schooling work under saddle and is a very quick learner with a super chill attitude to life. Although he’s Not your typical kick along goes off your leg he’s not fizzy in anyway. Snaffle mouthed with manner to die for whilst being ridden and on the ground.

He is well behaved on the yard and in the Feild a pleasure to have around easy to deal with in every way. He has been handled by my tiny tot niece and is polite and unflappable.

Easy low maintenance cob happy to live In Or out in a herd pair or on his own. Will turn out with mares geldings or stallions he’s a real no fuss kind of guy, doesn’t get up set being left behind in the Feild. Keeps his super chill attitude when going to shows settles well in every situation I’ve put him in.

He’s will load into anything lorry trailer forward back ward facing herringbone he travels like a dream you don’t feel him on the back. Good for the farrier will stand all day to be pampered bathed groomed. The children jump all over him he’s not bothered.

Went to his first show little local show and didnt disappoint was loved by the judges came home with ribbons. Would make a lovely show cob with abit more schooling.

Will pop a small fence but jumping isn’t his thing with the size of him. He’s a solid chunky boy heaps of beautiful feather mane and tail yet surprisingly easy self maintained.

You can work him everyday or leave him 6 weeks and he’s the same horse. Tgca passport up to date with everything teeth, worming, Chiro and just had a new set of shoes.

He is a real genuine lad with a heart of gold

I brought him when he was rising 3 as a covering stallion, gelded and broke him myself with no fuss at all he really has been a pleasure to own and is now looking for his new person to take him further. Sad sale this boy was staying with me for life but change in circumstances forces sale home is most definitely more important than price looking for someone that’s looking for a best friend and to love him as much as I do.

Harold is an outstanding 8-year-old full Irish Draught standing at 18hh. I have owned him since he was a 3-year-old and have produced him myself, making this an incredibly difficult decision.

He truly is the definition of a gentle giant. Harold has the kindest temperament and is trusted to be handled, led, turned out and brought in by complete novices. He has impeccable manners both at home and away and is a pleasure in every aspect. He is good to load, travel, clip, shoe, bath, have his teeth done. He travels perfectly in a trailer, and I regularly compete on my own with him as he stands quietly and behaves impeccably.

Harold is an incredibly versatile horse who has enjoyed success across multiple disciplines. We have been active members of the British Riding Club, competing and training in groups. He has competed British Showjumping at British Novice and Discovery level, although this has never been our main focus and my own lack of confidence over bigger fences is reflected in his record rather than his ability.

He has lightly evented both affiliated and unaffiliated at BE90 level and is confidently training at BE100. Dressage has been our main focus this last year and Harold has really excelled. Last season we qualified for the Petplan Area Festivals, achieving three top-three placings and a top-ten finish across Prelim and Novice classes. We have recently stepped up to Elementary and are now training Medium movements.

Harold hacks alone or in company, happily goes in front or behind, and is never spooky, strong or silly. He absolutely loves adventures, whether that's mountain rides, farm rides or, best of all, beach rides. He is always ridden in a snaffle in every discipline.

In 2025, Harold was selected to appear on Horse & Country's *All Star Academy*, where he spent a week training with some of the sport's leading professionals, all of whom commented on his trainability, attitude and exceptional temperament.

Harold has been a huge part of my life and owes me absolutely nothing. He is a genuine all-rounder with a heart of gold who would suit someone looking for a safe, versatile partner to enjoy a variety of disciplines. Equally, he has the ability to continue progressing with the right rider.

Hundreds of photos, videos and his full competition record are available, along with extensive footage on Instagram and Facebook under **@eventing.haroldx**.

Harold has a custom-made Erreplus jump saddle and Equipe dressage saddle, both available by separate negotiation.

**A five-star home is absolutely essential for this very special boy.**

Smokey Black, serious heavyweight gelding. 17/17.1hh now, but has not got a high wither and feels about 18hh when you're close to him.

This is one serious powerhouse of a Viking warrior's war horse! Looks like Thor should be riding him into Valhalla.

Floats like a butterfly with movement that makes you think he couldn’t possibly have the 10’’ of clean bone that he has. We jumped him for the first time today, and he pops 1.30 without having to make the slightest effort.

He is bold, brave, athletic, smooth-moving, handsome, and totally clean-limbed.

Raven’s father is the famous C1 Irish Draught stallion Corrindon Dancer, who won the Royal Dublin Show. I bred his mother, and she is ISH (Ballinvella) x Czech WB (Falko). Dam is the maternal half-sister to the dam of the multiple winning HW buckskin stallion Hallslake Nimrod (look him up), whom I also bred. The Ballinvella TB in the back breeding has given Raven athleticism and refinement, which, in such a huge and heavy horse, is just mind-blowing when you see him move. Genetically, I believe Raven is technically a Smoky Black as his mother is buckskin, so he has some 'dun' markings on his flank, but otherwise, when not sun bleached, he's very black.

Currently 4 years old and a raw blank canvas, having been with us from a foal. We haven’t ever even put a bridle on this boy yet. We have given him plenty of time to fill up his big frame, and mature. He has had his hooves looked after, been regularly wormed, and come in the barn for winters and lived out all summer in a herd. He is not clingy, is happy to be caught and moved away from friends, and stabled or transported without insecurity. He loads well in a trailer or lorry as he has been moved to different grazing between seasons. He can be rugged or left naked. He has no ailments or allergies and is vice-free, totally clean-limbed and straight-moving. He is kind, clever, and easy-going, naturally bold, and will be easy to break in.

What is his job going to be, and where would you find another one??

War Horse? Hunter? Show Horse? Dressage? Large person eventer? Battle reenactment horse? Jousting? Police horse? He genuinely could be absolutely anything.

We usually start our own horses undersaddle, but sometimes we find that buyers are looking to start from the begining themselves, so we are offering Raven raw initially, but we are also happy to get him backed for his purchasers if it is desired. If he is not sold during July, we will get him going, with a view to doing an hour or two of trail hunting over our fabulous, rugged terrain of Exmoor by Autumn. I honestly think he will be an absolute pleasure to get going and will be one hugely impressive horse under saddle.

Anyone looking for a horse that looks like a battering ram but moves like a show pony…. Give me a shout!

  • Beautiful Soul who wants to please and is willing t to learn

This beautiful young gelding was bred and started in Ireland where he was mainly hacked out alone and hunted throughout the previous season. He proved to be polite with the dogs and other horses, standing at the meet. Bold and brave jumping all that he was faced with.

He was imported at the start of March '25 and given time to settle in whilst continuing with basic lunging and groundwork before spending 3 months with a professional trainer being restarted in the saddle, ensuring the basics were established in the arena, hacking out at the weekends He went on to start some lateral work and saw his first coloured fences. He began to accept both leg and the hand coming into a nice outline. He now needs to learn to stretch down working over his back more consistently seeking the contact and trusting the riders hand.

He received a glowing report and hadn't put a hoof wrong.

He is keen to please and proves very trainable can become a little anxious when unsure what is being asked of him looking to the rider for support For this reason he is not currently a Novice ride.

At this point it was believed he was unsuitable for his older disabled owner (me!) to ride. I decided to keep him and found a young rider to help bring him on with the hope he would mature and become more suitable. Sadly my health has deteriorated further and so I've concluded it's time to sell.

In the stable he is sweet and easy. He is still a young horse and is a little anxious if a stranger rushes him trying to throw a rug on without introducing themselves and saying "hello" first. Introductions over and he's an angel to handle, groom, tack up, muck out etc with or without being tied up in the stable. He will tie up outside and wait patiently with a hay net!

He is super to clip, including his head, jaw ears and under belly he will fall asleep with his headcollar over one ear, untied in the middle of a busy yard!

He is good to shoe, load and travel in a box or trailer. Good to lead, easy to catch. Enjoys attention and has always been gentle with small children and animals. He stands quietly to be hosed off all over, again untied if needed.

He is happy to have a rider legged up. At the mounting block he was initially anxious but this was worked on with gentle desensitization. Now he is more confident. With the rider in the saddle he will sometimes walk forwards. He never rushes off but this is a work in progress he will be gently reminded of his manners to wait until asked to move off. He doesn't bolt rear or buck.

Although he is not currently for a Novice rider as he is a very forward, reactive to the leg and sensitive in the hand. A confident novice rider who enjoys a forward sensitive soul would likely be ok fine. He requires further training and maturity to become the true alrounder he is already showing the potential to be. I do allow my very novice 9 year old granddaughter to ride him supervised in a small arena in walk and trot and he looks after her beautifully.

Over the past eleven months he has attended and enjoyed many pole work clinics, flat work lessons, general schooling sessions and some hacking on and off site. He is great with large vehicles and farm tractors, trailers, working machinery, lorries horse boxes etc. Also all road traffic he has met.

More recently he has started to attended jumping clinics showing a beautiful natural bascule over a fence (generally 70-80 courses showing scope for much more) Recently clearing 1.05/1.10 during a fun event. He has also participated in X country training really finding his feet, covering the ground well and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

He has started some unaffiliated competition and has been successful at dressage, show jumping and showing.

He truly has the makings of a great alrounder turning his hoof to anything with a smile on his face!

He does sound rather perfect doesn't he?

Which reading this ad makes me wonder why I'm selling him?

As I've said my health is deteriorating and is not likely to improve. He came into my life following the devastating loss of my previous horse and helped me through and I've thoroughly enjoyed his company. But he deserves to find a longer term home where he can be given further training and opportunity to thrive and reach his true potential.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to come and meet this wonderful boy. He is kept in livery on a large equestrian centre with excellent facilities.

Price negotiable to the right home. With tack, rugs etc again negotiable within price.

Romeo – The Ultimate Confidence Giver

15hh 10-Year-Old Cob Gelding

Romeo is an exceptional 15hh, 10-year-old Cob gelding who offers the rare combination of safety, strength, experience and a heart of gold. He is kind, bold, dependable and a genuine weight carrier, making him suitable for a wide range of riders—from complete beginners, nervous adults and children, RDA riders, those with additional learning needs, right through to more experienced riders looking for a calm, reliable partner.

Romeo is beautifully put together and truly is a horse who has been there, done that. Calm, considerate and always willing to please, he is the definition of safe and steady. He has far more “whoa” than “go” for less experienced riders, yet for a capable rider he has another gear when asked. His adaptability allows him to happily carry a complete novice one day and then enjoy a more forward ride with an experienced rider the next.

The Ultimate All-Rounder

Romeo has spent the last 12 months working in a professional riding school, where he has excelled with every type of rider, from complete beginners to advanced riders, both under saddle and during stable management sessions.

He has extensive experience in private and group flatwork lessons and regularly takes part in our in-house showjumping and cross-country competitions. Romeo absolutely loves to jump and is confident over coloured and rustic fences, showing a careful, honest and bold technique. Prior to joining us, he competed successfully at low level in showjumping, cross-country, working hunter, one-day events and has also enjoyed hunting.

Hacking is one of Romeo’s greatest strengths. He will happily hack alone or in company and has been exposed to some of the heaviest traffic imaginable, including double-decker buses, articulated lorries, tractors and all types of farm machinery. Nothing fazes him. He remains calm and relaxed in every environment and never becomes strong or silly. He can gallop across open fields with loose horses running alongside him before immediately coming back to walk on a long rein or standing quietly while other horses continue galloping around him. He is genuinely one of the most sensible horses you could wish to ride and is never sharp, spooky or silly.

During his time at the riding school, Romeo has been nothing short of outstanding. He is incredibly forgiving when riders lose their balance, lose a stirrup or make a mistake into a fence. He always looks after his rider and never takes advantage. His substantial build, combined with his calm temperament, sure-footedness and kind nature, gives nervous riders enormous confidence. He will stand patiently at the mounting block for as long as required without moving a foot.

I can honestly say Romeo has no quirks, vices or unpleasant traits.

Although perfectly happy to amble along at a quiet pace, Romeo is responsive to the leg and offers three lovely, balanced paces. For a more experienced rider he will happily work into a soft outline while remaining relaxed and obedient. He has never bucked, reared, bolted, kicked or bitten. He is ridden in a simple snaffle at all times with no gadgets whatsoever.

Outstanding Manners

Romeo has impeccable manners both in and out of the stable. He will happily stand for hours to be groomed and fussed over, with or without a headcollar. He is polite, affectionate and incredibly easy to handle.

He is equally happy living in or out and settles well whether stabled individually or turned out in a mixed herd, he is currently in a mixed herd and solo field in between lessons.

Romeo has an excellent health history and has never suffered from laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids or any significant lumps, bumps or soundness issues.

He is currently barefoot with strong, healthy feet but is equally happy to be shod if preferred. He is excellent to catch, clip, bath, load, travel, shoe, and is a pleasure for the farrier, vet and dentist.

He is incredibly low maintenance and requires no daily work. He can enjoy weeks or even months off before returning to work exactly the same horse. He maintains his condition well on a simple diet and is exceptionally easy to manage in every respect.

Romeo has also recently passed our annual Riding School Licence Inspection, the equivalent of a Stage 2 veterinary inspection.

A Horse You’ll Struggle to Replace

Romeo is a genuinely rare horse. Whether you’re looking for a confidence giver, a safe hacking companion, a family horse, an RDA-type horse, a riding club horse or simply an honest all-rounder to enjoy, he ticks every box.

He is a genuine schoolmaster who gives his rider confidence every time they sit in the saddle and will undoubtedly provide his next owner with many years of enjoyment.

This is a heartbreaking sale. As part of our regular riding school stock rotation, we give our horses the opportunity to move on to loving private homes every few years so they can enjoy one-to-one attention and a more varied lifestyle. Romeo has been an exceptional member of our team and now deserves a wonderful forever home. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

We have several horses and ponies available.

Wendy stands 15hh and at the moment stands up behind so will make 15.1hh I would think.

She is nicely put together with quality LW limb which needs little trimming. A good straight mover with nice paces. She is still green in the school so will take some time but I think will be nice but she would equally enjoy to do anything else!

She is now 5 I bought here as a 3 year old from Ireland, I have given her time to mature.

She is well hacked having been ridden by various friends who come for a bit of “Me” time!! She would really wants to please, she’s sweetheart.

She hacks out alone too but gets her 10,000 steps in then! She has done a little in the school so can do the basics.

She has jumped all our hunt jumps and enjoyserself. Wendy has been to arena hire and been on some Farm Rides. She used to Farm life and the machinery that goes with it. Good in traffic met to date.

She is good on the ground as I walk with a stick and have a mobility scooter. Good to clip trim shoe etc. Very easy on the ground in all respects

Very much a blank canvas with the basics established so could go on and have any number of of career opportunities. A good amateur cob to be aimed at The LIHS Rising Stars also eligible for Partbred Irish Draught Class.

Wendy is a lovely person and really really would love to be someone’s horses as she loves all the fuss and attention you can give - she falls asleep being trimmed! Sadly for sale due to my ongoing health issues. I want to find her a home where she will be loved and adored. I will miss her when she’s gone.

Meet Rosie, a 5-year-old traditional black Cob mare looking for her next home. She is a kind, willing mare who always wants to please and always tries her best in everything that is asked of her.

She excels in her flatwork and, in my personal opinion, would be well suited to either a confident novice or an experienced rider looking to do showing or dressage, thanks to the way she moves. She has a lovely attitude, is nicely put together, and has the traditional cob type and presence that would make her stand out in the show ring.

She will happily pop over a small cross pole and a little log in the woods she takes everything in her stride. Rosie is a good girl to hack on the road she’s seen cars, lorries and motorbikes and isn’t fazed by them. She may have a little looks at things, but she never does anything naughty she just carries on walking. She never naps or does anything silly on the roads. She's a very sweet mare. She hacks alone or in company, is happy to take the lead or sit behind, and is sensible for her age.

Rosie would be ideal for someone wanting a smart traditional cob to bring on for showing, hacking, and all-round fun.

Rosie has been to the beach with a novice rider, who she took excellent care of. She confidently led the whole way, walking through crowds of people to reach the beach. She has also been to the woods, where she enjoyed swimming in the river and happily popped over a little log.

Rosie is good to load onto both a horsebox and a trailer. I have videos of her loading, and she is happy to travel on her own or with company.

Rosie has also passed a recent 5 stage vetting and I’m also open to any vetting

If you're interested, I have plenty of photos and videos of Rosie and am happy to answer any questions or arrange a call.

Safe proven hunting cob

(The cob formerly known as Clarence) super fun all rounder / hunting cob who is sadly offered for sale due to owner’s retirement. Jimmy was brought over from Ireland by us as a 4 year old, he was then sold to his current owners who have had him ever since. They are both now in their 80’s and hanging up their riding boots so he has returned to find his new hopefully forever home.

Jimmy has been a fun all rounder in his current home, his owners were regular subscribers with the Fitzwilliam hunt and he’s been well hunted by the whole family. He’s a cracking cob to hunt, stands quietly when asked, excellent at meets and happy to pop all hunt jumps. He absolutely loves the job and is safe but keen, he is always a little strong on his first canter out in the open but then becomes very easy. Adult daughter has intermittently taken him out both SJ and XC schooling, he enjoys his jumping and could go on to do all RC activities. Jimmy has mainly hacked and hunted with his owners so his flat work needs a little polishing off to do a dressage test, however, he is obedient and off the aids in the school when asked.

Out hacking he’s super, good both alone and in company and has been great in fairly busy traffic. He’s forward thinking but not really going anywhere with it and for this reason he’s not for a wobbly novice.

He’s very easy to have on the yard, happy to live in or out and good to box, shoe, clip etc. he’s up to date with everything and ready to go and have some fun. He has a couple of little handling quirks, can be a bit rude to lead in and out the field and needs someone horse savvy but this has been managed and not a problem with elderly owners. He’s a bit unsettled here atm with us and needs to find an understanding private home asap as hasn’t taken the change very well and likes to know his people! That being said he’s settling back in to his routine here quite quickly and we have him sussed handling wise.

Best home wanted who will drop old owners the odd message and let them know how he is.

Seen at livery.

Lovely cob who will make someone a really fun all rounder/ hack/ possible hunter.

Not a sluggy dead cob! Toto is a fun forwards thinking boy with a nice mouth and way of going, he would be a lot of fun to take to local unaff dressage, SJ, XC etc. he rides very sweetly on the flat and works in a natural shape, he’s nicely off the aids but not sharp or silly with it. He would definitely suit a keen middle aged RC lady who wants something that feels like it has a bit of engine without going anywhere. He’s very quiet out hacking both alone and in company and excellent in traffic, has been up to the pub with us, happy to stand patiently, steal a chip / half a pint etc. he’s good in open spaces and pulls up when asked.

We have taken him XC schooling and he was genuine and brave, jumped everything asked of him and was a lot of fun. He’s also jumping round a small course of coloured fences very happily but will trot down to a fence if you don’t want full speed ahead! We have taken him on a sponsored ride with rusty, inexperienced rider and he behaved brilliantly and gave her loads of confidence jumping and picked her back up when she nearly wobbled off! He’s got plenty of jump to go and do everything at local level well and will give someone an awful lot of fun. To jump in the arena Toto is a little greener but still very genuine, he’s happy to give everything a go. He just needs a few more miles on. The clock as last home only really hacked him.

Toto is a lovely chap to handle, box, catch, shoe, clip etc. he loves fuss and attention, he’s got very good manners and likes people.

Seen at livery.

This lovely mare has been in the same home since birth and has been a much-loved family horse throughout her life. She has also bred two beautiful foals, meaning that despite being seven years old, she has low mileage and is ready for someone to enjoy and continue her education.

She has plenty of experience hacking both alone and in company, attending fun rides and trips to the pub. She is sensible, genuine and unfazed by traffic and farm machinery, making her a pleasure to hack and have around.

She has been with me on behalf of her owner for the past two weeks. Before arriving, she had done very little schooling, but she has taken to it exceptionally well and has improved every day. Today she popped a selection of small fences for the very first time and proved to be incredibly honest, brave and willing.

She is an absolute pleasure to handle and do. Good to catch, tie up, load and travel, and I’ve happily clipped her head with face clippers. She is currently shod in front only.

She is currently kept on a busy competition yard where she has taken everything in her stride. She is kind, straightforward and genuinely lovely to have around. Lives in or out.

A real quality mare who takes up the leg exceptionally well, with plenty of bone and substance while still being athletic enough to turn her hoof to almost any job. She has all the foundations to make a fantastic Riding Club horse, hunter, happy hacker or all-rounder.

A top-quality, honest mare with a very bright future ahead of her.
