Sad sale of a much loved gentle giant who I have owned for the last 4 years.

Only selling as I have a young family and wanting a smaller horse I can ride and lead a toddler from.

He has not been rushed in any way due to his size and age. Hacks alone with confident rider and in company, he is happy first or last. Will calmly stand at the pub whilst you have a drink.

He has attended hound exercise, being well mannered and enjoyed a sponsored ride setting off in a large group of horses. In time he will make a wonderful all rounder or smart hunter, equally he has the presence and flashiness for the show ring.

He really enjoys a fuss and is very friendly with other horses and people.

Glenford Margie is an incredible six-year-old Class One Registered Irish Draught mare. She was top placed mare in the RDS Irish Draught Performance Hunter Final in 2025 finishing in 5th place overall. She also won her qualifier in Rincoola and jumped all the qualifying courses with ease.

She has been produced slowly and correctly with her future in mind. She has an exceptional jump and is brave and willing with a wonderful temperament.

She has also hunted with the East Galway hunt and remains very relaxed on the hunting field. Margie enjoys a variety of disciplines including ridden, WH classes, cross-country, hacking and beach rides. We have done fun charity rides, regular weekly RC schooling, hunter trials 70/80, show jumping competitions 60/70, and endless hacking with my children on their ponies.
