Axel - 15.2hh Gelding Black and White Irish Cob Weight Carrier

Axel is an exceptional 15.2hh 5 year-old Irish Cob gelding, don’t let his age put you off, he is super safe and sensible well beyond his years, he acts like a 10 year old, he is absolutely a rare combination of safety, strength, experience, and a heart of gold. He is kind, bold, dependable, weight carrier, ideal for a wide range of riders – from competent novice to more experienced jockeys who prefer a calm and steady ride.

Axel is beautifully put together and super sensible in every sense. A calm, considerate and willing gelding, he is the definition of safe and steady. He is calm and steady if your less experienced but also has a fifth gear if you can ride, he is so adaptable and can be ridden by competent novices then pick up his pace if you can ride, making her a perfect mount for riders who want to enjoy their riding at a relaxed pace without compromising on ability or responsiveness.

Ultimate All-Rounder

Axel has spent the last 18 months in a professional riding school environment and she has excelled with every level of rider, both under saddle and during stable management activities.

He has experience in flatwork lessons, both private and group, as well as participating in our in-house low level showjumping and cross-country competitions. He is confident over coloured and rustic fences, he would be good at cross-country, working hunter and hunting.

Axel absolutely loves to hack out and does so safely and calmly. He will happily hack alone or in company and has been exposed to the heaviest, fastest-moving traffic imaginable. He is completely unphased by buses, lorries, farm machinery and all types of vehicles. He remains safe and steady in all environments and does not rush or pull, even in open spaces or on the way home, you can gallop across open fields with loose horses running along side him, then immediately pull him up and allow him to walk on a long rein or ask him to stand while horses run around him, he is most definitely not sharp, spooky or spiny.

He has been truly exceptional during her time on the riding school, he is unbelievable forgiving when rider lose their balance, struipps or have a bad stride into a fence, he always takes care of her riders, his substantial build, with a leg in each corner, combined with her calm disposition, sure-footedness, and gentle nature, gives riders confidence to progress and excel. He will stand patiently at the mounting block while you mount. I can honestly say he has absolutely no quirks, vices or negative traits.

Although he is happy to go at a quiet steady pace, he is also responsive to the leg and has three beautiful balanced, steady paces. For more experienced riders he will work into a nice outline with enthusiasm and energy, always staying calm and sensible, he has never bucked, reared, kicked or bitten, he is the most loving kind gentleman you could ever wish to meet.

Axel has outstanding ground manners. He stands for hours to be groomed and fussed over, with or without a head collar or lead rope. He is not clingy, and is happy living in or out. In the field he keeps himself to himself and never causes trouble, whether stabled alone or turned out in a mixed herd.

Axcel has a history of excellent health and has never had laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or any lumps, bumps, or unsoundness.

He is currently barefoot with strong, healthy hooves and is equally happy to be shod. He is excellent to clip, bath, catch, great to load and travel, fantastic with the farrier, vet, and dentist.

He is incredibly low maintenance, requiring no daily work. He can have weeks or even months off and return to ridden work without any fuss. He maintains his condition year-round on a simple diet and is easy to manage in every way.

He passes our riding school annual Licence Inspection, which is the equivalent of a Stage 2 vetting.

Acresdale the Greatest Showman Aka. Cartier, a substantial 15hh who oozes presence.

A true stamp of a cob, passported with TGCA red stud book. Sired by the infamous Drumbracken Golden Lad who now resides in the US. Out of lines including Shambo and Hermits, this boy truly is a head turner.

His personality matches his stunning looks, he is the kindest boy who wants nothing more than to please and be doted on. A true yard favourite who comes with a warning of stealing your heart.

Snaffle mouthed, hacks alone and in company and is often used to help calm others. Has three paces in the school and enjoys popping a small jump. Carts has been brought on slowly and is ready for someone experienced to put their own stamp on him to show off his full potential.

Carts has been out to numerous shows and places well overall. He enjoys going out to farm rides and exploring new areas and has experience with the water treadmill. Good to load and happy to travel alone or with company.

Patch - 15.2 8 yrs old irish cob gelding

Patch is suited to schooling , riding school , hacking , all round fun horse , novice ride

Patch is gentleman with ands always willing to please.

Patch is very good on the ground to handle and to lead. He is good in the stable and you can muck out round him with no head collar on.

Patch loves to be brushed and given attention and you can do this tied up or loose. Patch is good with his feet and you can pick them all up without a head collar on. Patch is good to clip and was recently done and stood like an angel just eating his haynet.

When’s comes to riding him he is a novice ride and a school master. He walks trots canters both reins with ease and is push button. He will hack alone or in company and isn’t phased by heavy traffic.

Patch has jumped show jumps and xc jumps and loves to get out and about if this is what you like to do. He has been to sommerford park and also attended training clinics.

Patch has no vices and is an easy going chap.

Patch is good to tack up and also to put rugs on. Patch will stand at the mount block all day long for you to mount and get sorted ready for your ride. He will stand while you do round the world on him or go to the pub for a pint (1 of his favourite things )

He is good to load and travel and just stands eating his haynet

He will live in or out he in a hardy type that doesn’t need much maintainance. He is good to catch and lead to and from the field.

All in all a super horse with a lot to give and will make somebody very happy

• This beautiful approx 15.2 5yrs rising 6yr old girl is looking for her new best friend to continue her education and go out and have fun with.

Paris has the most outstanding loving,  temperament  and takes everything in her stride. She has 3 super active paces, a forward thinking brain and jumps for fun.

She is a pleasure to have around and good to do in all ways. She loads, travels, clips and lunges well. She's currently barefoot and has good feet.

8 yo mare .. just a fraction under 13.2 but makes up for it in her stature! ..she has been in the same home since a 5 yo and her full history is known.

She has been ridden by all members of the family but the majority of time by a mature 74 yo lady. She has 51 BD points won to date ( Prelim and novice ) , has qualified for numerous championships in the past. Most recently she qualified for the area festivals with her dressage to music scores last summer. Won local dressage leagues with scores up to 76 %.. she's always in the ribbons! She qualified for the BD under 25's Championship in 2023. Working Novice / elementary level and ready to go out and win!! . Would be an fantastic BYRDs prospect .

She has jumped competitively up to 80cm.Again brining home lots of ribbons. She was placed at weston lawns summer spectacular in the BS club classes last summer. She has done some arena eventing, been on fun rides and done some low level showing but owners primary interest has been Dressage.

She has also been to pony club camp on the lead rein with 5 yo grandson behaving perfectly. She hacks out alone and with others, will canter across a field first or last .. or stand and wait in the middle while the grandchildren go off on their own. Brilliant with the heaviest of traffic. 

Leg on type but not lazy and you can razz her up as much or a little as you want to jump! ..

Never sick or sorry, a safe and sound mare but with plenty of ability. Would be a fabulous family cob for all members to ride or ideal for someone wanting to progress up the levels BD. Also would suit older child to enjoy PC etc .. can throw quite a jump so wouldnt be for a tot! Would easily to a BE 80 event fit and trim!

Bruno is a super smart young cob with a fantastic temperament and a brave, genuine attitude to life. He has been produced with a strong focus on hacking and real-world experience, giving him a solid start and a sensible outlook despite his young age.

He hacks out happily alone and in company and is fantastic in traffic. I regularly take him out alone along our busy country lanes and he takes everything in his stride.

Bruno has been out to a local farm ride where he confidently popped a selection of rustic fences and happily trotted and cantered through the water. Although this was all new to him, he proved bold, brave and very willing, giving everything a go.

He has also travelled out for hacks with friends, is good in open spaces, and enjoys a splash in the river.

His schooling is still green, which is exactly what you would expect for a rising four year old who has mainly been produced out hacking. He has done a little schooling in the field and shows active, uphill paces and a forward attitude. He is ready for someone to continue producing him in their own way.

On the ground Bruno is a lovely horse to have around. He is:

Thomas has it all, genuine temperament, willingness to please and the ability to be a loving part of your family.

He loves getting out and about and is a fantastic hack, and is unfazed by anything. Thomas has been ridden by all members of our family and is equally happy with a child plodding round on him or if required, will step it up a pace for a more experienced rider - he just wants to be your friend and partner.

He is used to farm machinery and farm animals having lived on our farm since a baby.

Thomas has a willingness to please and is going well in the school. He has three, smart, correct paces and he would easily do some local shows this summer with his super flashy trot.

He absolutely loves people and attention. Very easy to do in all ways, great with the vet, farrier and he has been clipped the first time this year.

Lives out or in and is barefoot with good feet. He has lived in a small herd on our track system and is very friendly, wanting to be everyone's friend.

He would turn his hoof to anything but we would love him to go to a loving family who would appreciate his kind and easy going nature.

This is an extremely hard sale due to our son losing interest.

Due to his age he would be better suited to an experienced home.
